Honestly, when I first saw the page, I didn't see the "Last Friday Night" narrative and was confused about seeing Tedd talking to Justin and Grace again when we should have been seeing what happened at school first, hehe.

Cranium's a wizard too, right? I don't think gender matters with who is a wizard and who's not. I would think that distinction would have been mentioned at some point. What Tedd is goes beyond gender, and I don't think being genderfluid is why he's a "dangerous rarity". I'm pretty certain that when the whale stated that, the whale knew that Tedd was capable of decyphering magic and making it public, which would mean that the whales know about magic having a will and would change the system if it got too public.

My headcanon is that Ashley highlights her hair. The green was so that she could match Liz's goth/grunge look. The pink would be something she thought would match Mall Girl Elliot.

I get the feeling that Hijinks are winding down. Seems like a mall chase with magic use would be about as high as the jinks could get when you consider the people involved. Rhoda and Catalina lost Kitty so now they can find a proper spot to undo their enchantments, then leave the mall. We'll likely get one more appearance from Pandora as well.

The number of times Tedd's been seen as a girl by the others, it wouldn't have taken long for at least a couple of them to figure out that Tedd is genderfluid, Justin is insightful enough, and Sarah might have looked it up online at some point, or Grace mentioned it to her. They likely just assumed Tedd already knew as well, just like Grace assumed Tedd knew what transgendered meant beyond just casual genderswapping. Unless it's very subtle changes, change blindness might work. But yeah considering the chances of running into Tony, being a girl probably isn't a good idea. Being noticeably more masculine would raise rumours of magic use. Given Tedd's disposition in the last comic we saw him in (at least, the last one that was focused on him), I kinda wonder if he's referring to whether or not he should bother using the spell at all. Given that he felt that he was really close to being responsible for ruining magic by wanting to make it public. I wouldn't be surprised if the choice is to continue using magic, or give up on it. There is a part of me that thinks that when we see Tedd at school, his behaviour might contradict what Sarah and Grace warned Elliot and Ellen about.

I think the assumption was that starship sensors could pick up sound vibrations. Not so much as sound through water, since that's not possible in space, but more like sound inside a can? But then the question would be how could they not detect the can?

From what the ones that have spellbooks describe, they're certainly not in any clear text format.

You said DGB already knows about Justin, I said they believe he's still dreaming. I would think that if Edward suspected that Justin was awakened, he'd had scanned him with that analyzer wand and either say he'd have to give him a spellbook or say "nope not awakened". As it is, Justin's only very recently been awakened by Pandora and no one else knows yet. I can't even guess at how spellbooks could be "bugged", but again, one would have to be awakened for a spellbook to be linked to them, so it's not like Edward would have secretly linked spellbooks to all of Tedd's friends and is keeping an eye on them in case someone dings.

It's possible they believe he's still dreaming, since everyone else does. Spellbooks are for those that are awakened.

Sounds like the equivalent to having to recreate the account each time something changes. Which I'm pretty sure in software development, that's considered bad programing.

How the book responds to someone using magic seems completely separate from the actual creation and linking of the book. Tedd could figure out how a book expands it's database, but he'd have to see how it's linked to be able to create a proper alternative. What I think you're describing, is a device that would constantly "ping" a person on the magic level for any changes to spells or if a new spell is gained, and then notify the person and provide a detailed description of the change or new spell. That's all well and good and equivalent to the notification system of these forums. But linking the device to the user would be the equivalent to account creation which is a different beast on it's own.

That's assuming Edward lets Tedd watch him create a linked spellbook and if it's possible for Tedd to duplicate his insight with magitech. Hmm, the latter would be pretty foreboding in terms of how many people could learn how magic works and such.

My thinking was that a dawn launch, even with the effect of gravity on the vehicle blocked, would still require a decent boost to get it moving faster than the Earth. A dusk launch would require little to no thrust from the vehicle, the boost could come from the launch platform by way of electromagnetic manipulation to basically reduce the vehicle's momentum in relation to the Earth, once at the right altitude, the vehicle would then use it's engines along with gravity to get into orbit.

Depends on application. She could make her clone of herself and tell it to immobilise someone with a grapple or hold, for example. Nanase's colour clone spell can also be used as a distraction. Aside from her fairy's fae punch and Fox, she doesn't seem to have any other offensive spells that I can recall. She has illusion based spells which the colour clones are part off, several disguise/stealth based spells. Fox is considered a multipurpose spell really, she does have offensive value in that she can fight like Nanase, but she can also be used as a distraction or to mislead someone. Using the fairy in a situation like this would be risky, first, Nanase would have to get out of line of sight of the person chasing her, create the avatar, then fly back into the chaser's view and hopefully lead them away from her body, after a bit, Nanase would drop the doll and return to her body to sneak away. Of course there is a chance that the person would still peek around the corner and find Nanase's body standing there, and there's also the fact that Nanase would be leaving a doll behind, so it might not be worth it. The Guardian Form is extremely situational and so not considered for this.

Because thats where Ellen was practicing when Sarah called after Elliot was kidnapped. And I'm pretty sure they have gym equipment down there, they at least have a punching bag, because I don't think Tedd's got one at his place. Elliot was probably maintaining his martial arts skills in his basement, but as far as we can tell, he hasn't recieved any more training from Greg since he closed the ASMA dojo. I think Elliot viewed his magic as a "use it when you need it" kinda thing, maybe he didn't want to rely on magic all the time so never really trained with it as much, it was obvious during the incident with Tara that he maybe used the superhero form a few times, and half of them didn't involve combat. He might have also been lazy about training his magic, since that would have required studying his spellbook which we know he hasn't done in a while.

With Nanase, she dated Elliot, but was never really attracted to him as a male. I say as a male because we do have that one instance where Nanase seemed attracted to cheerleadra 2.0, and if you really want to be technical, Ellen being the female duplicate of Elliot. I don't think we've seen Justin be even slightly attracted to a female. Of course, if we were to include Grace's birthday party, everyone being attracted to the opposite gender was part of the forms but it didn't make any difference for Justin and Nanase. Justin was already attracted to males and so was attracted to male Susan, and Nanase with females and Ellen.
