  1. Things That Are Just Annoying

I consider Facebook to be a wretched hive of viruses and malware. My parents use Facebook all the time and are constantly complaining about their computers being slow and every time I do virus scans on them, there's always infected files found. I don't use Facebook and whenever I scan my computer, it comes up clean.
  2. Story Monday December 19, 2016

I thought that as more Pandora actually feeling hurt by Adrian's accusation.
  3. NP Monday December 19, 2016

The "camera angle" that Dan used in this page makes it tough to tell, also we don't see enough of Rhoda to get a good size comparison, the shrinking/growing may not have been complete either. As it is, It looks like the size enchants have been cancelled, but we'll see Wednesday.
  4. NP Monday December 19, 2016

Ok, it wasn't as apparent in the previous comic that Catalina was growing, and i still, to me at least, seemed like she was at the smallest size when she popped out of the jacket then proceeded to get bigger. This does seem like Rhoda's size enchantments did get cancelled out by the disguise enchantment, but I still find it odd that it wasn't an instant cancel, instead of this gradual one.
  5. Story Wednesday December 14, 2016

I don't think it was explained either, and it doesn't seem like it only applies to Grace, she had asked if her and her brothers aged at an accelerated rate, Dr Sciuridae said no, that he was right about it not working that way. Maybe it's the egg that does this rather than the combination of DNA, because Hedge and Guineas was only created with human and animal DNA, Vladia was various animals, human and Uryuom DNA, and Grace was animal, human, Uryuom and Lespuko. So if all 4 of them age slower than normal then it's likely because of the method of conception, it makes sense that if the egg can guarantee the success of creating a hybrid from seemingly incompatible species, there's probably other benefits of using an Uryuom egg.
  6. Story Friday December 16, 2016

Just don't let him hear you say that.
  7. Story Wednesday December 14, 2016

I would imagine hybrids through Uryuom eggs were already known to be safe. What the shady organization that created Hedge and Grace, etc, was trying to do was create an assassin using the best combination, as well as make it so they grow up faster than normal so that they can put to work quicker. Hybrids like Max and Jeremy might have been created more for novelty like other designer pets, the upside of using an Uryuom egg would be the lower likelyhood of genetic defects. There might also be some other DNA involved that gives them longer lifespans but isn't noticeable physically.
  8. It's a good thing this isn't canon, or Ashley and Sarah would have something to say about it.
  9. Story Wednesday December 14, 2016

Does Sarah herself being a cat sometimes count? Otherwise I don't think they do. Also it should be noted that Max and Jeremy may be related*, and Brownie probably the most normal cat in EGS. *I'm thinking Max and Jeremy are the results of combinin cat and hedgehog DNA in an Uryuom egg which would make sense if no human/humanoid DNA is used.

Pandora never really finished her statement about it, so we don't know what she meant when she started saying "and now the other enchantments are..." Are they what? Tied to Rhoda's energy pool and she only has the ability to maintain 4 instead of 5? Is there a maximum number of enchantments a person can have and Rhoda and Catalina's close proximity and their enchantments being linked push past the limit so 1 or 2 enchantments need to go away? This is why I was upset that she didn't finished the sentence.
  11. Story Friday December 16, 2016

The only reason Pandora hasn't reset is because Adrian's still alive. Her statement about putting his life at risk for others sounds harsh, but she clearly doesn't want to see him die the way Blaike did. The "apocalypse" was supposed to be so that Adrian could be able to help others without risking his life, but at the same time it would mean that Pandora still wouldn't have a reason to reset because Adrian would still live, so it is kind of selfish of her. At the same time though, Adrian probably assumes that there's some other motives for Pandora doing this, because she's done stuff like it in the past, and doesn't believe that she did it for him. He's probably thinking "she's bored again and this is just another one of her games to amuse her."
  12. NP Friday December 16, 2016

The might have been farther, when Catalina first transformed, they were in or near the food court, we don't know for sure how far they went to find dressing rooms that didn't have a lot of traffic nearby, they could have ended up on the second floor and the exit they parked near was on the first floor. That's the thing, I can understand Rhoda's latest enchantment affecting Catalina because of her being in very close physical contact. I just don't get how the other enchantments would get pulled into the mix since they were done separately and there was no contact between Catalina and Rhoda at the time. And I don't see them averaging either, Rhoda seems to be returning to normal size, Catalina might be returning to normal size as well but it could also be the pocket getting smaller for her. At the very least I can see Rhoda's energy getting tapped out with 5 active enchantments and 1 or more fading because of it.
  13. Story Friday December 16, 2016

That's what I think too, along with putting Noah in danger at the same time. Maybe Noah will bust into the conversation at some point?
  14. NP Friday December 16, 2016

I think they're still inside. They were inside here, and it had shrubbery. I am rather confused as to why it would be gradual though, I guess maybe because Catalina's in the pocket still and Magic's giving them a chance for her to get out before any damage is done, but it's still weird that it'd be like that.
  15. Magic: The Gathering colors of the cast

What gets me though, is Noah doesn't think that way anymore, the "power at all costs" bit only really applied to Noah's desire to avenge his parent's deaths, that went away when he found out Grace had killed Damien.

Dangit, now I can't unsee that, more fuel for the Susan must be related to Pandora fire...
  18. NP, Wednesday December 14, 2016

You know, this interesting revelation makes me wonder if Elliot could transform Ashley if he was in physical contact with her when he transformed, Ashley could get her wish.
  19. NP, Wednesday December 14, 2016

I wish Pandora finished that sentence. What happened to the other enchantments?!?!? Also I looks like Pandora didn't expected to end up looking like that, was she in the jacket as well and somehow affected by Rhoda's transformation, or was this another case of her thinking aloud about a form like she did with the college coed?
  20. Story Wednesday December 14, 2016

I dunno, considering the importance of removing the clog and how dangerous it could be, I don't think she wants to mess around.
  21. Story - Monday December 12, 2016

Old enough that Star Trek TNG would have been in syndication for at least a decade? Seriously though, she was probably 4-6 years old, I was 7 when TNG first aired on TV and I watched it with my mom, so it isn't much of a stretch for Susan to watch it when she was a year or so younger.
  22. Story Wednesday December 14, 2016

Pandora likely knows about the mistranslation, but Pandora's Box still has a better ring to it than Pandora's Jar.
  23. Things that make you sad.

Whelp....2016 doesn't get any better, this is more personal though. I'm pretty sure I've mentioned before about the hotel I work at having a cat, Mr. Nickel, that's pretty much been the mascot of the hotel since he was a kitten in 2003. He would always go up to guests to be petted and mooch food from, pretty much everyone loved him (there was one guest that was apparently very superstitious and since Nickel was a black cat, was deathly afraid of him). Last year I had noticed that he had lost a lot of weight and wasn't very active, so I told my boss, and she took him to the vet who told her Nickel had developed diabetes. He was put on medication and special diet food which brought about a very noticeable improvement to Nickel's weight and energy. Pretty much all summer he was out chasing squirrels and catching chipmunks (the squirrels were faster) but a couple weeks ago I noticed that he had started losing the weight again. My boss just called me about half an hour ago to tell me that they had to put Mr Nickel down because the diabetes came back with the vengeance and his organs were failing, there wasn't anything they could do about it.
  24. Story Wednesday December 14, 2016

Nothing about permission from a majority (that we know of). She (like all other immortals) can't do much herself except guiding and empowering. If she wants anything else done (whether that's depowering, saving a life, killing a vampire, committing murder, defeating a cult leader, or anything else), she has to get a mortal to do it (and she can provide guidance and empowerment to the mortal to help them accomplish the task). She could place the clog herself, because placing the clog is itself empowering. Removing the clog is not empowering, so she has to get someone else—in this case, Sarah and (presumably) Mr. Raven—to actually remove the clog. Yeah, basically depowering Moperville would be breaking the rule of "guide and empower", heck creating the clog could be seen as questionable empowerment but it was obviously easy to believe that it's not breaking any the rule. And going back through "Death Sentence" Dan did foreshadow that Adrian would be the one capable of removing the clog by having him state that he has a "talent for disenchantment". I can see Adrian attempting to call her out on it, she gets confused as to what he's talking about, and then Adrian being flabbergasted at finding out she doesn't know the pithos/box detail of her own namesake. Pandora knows what her namesake means, we know because of her choice of the name "Box" for Sarah to call her. What she wouldn't likely know is that Dex was given that pendent and guided and empowered further by another Immortal. Pandora might have been taking one of her naps during that time and missed the whole thing. I imagine she'll be shocked when Adrian confronts her about it, but she already knows another Immortal has been messing around with things so she'll be more shocked at the possibility that the other Immortal has been doing so for a while now. Either that or we find out that Pandora was the one controlling Dex and Voltaire lied about his involvement, which wouldn't surprise me either but is probably less likely.
