  1. Who else thinks Magic is a d*ck?

No, Moperville is one point of many in the world where magic energy flows from one half to the other, Andrea stated the that area where the energy enters their half has seen a significant drop in energy to the point where people have been leaving to other areas with more energy. There are other points where magic can flow between the halves so there is no danger of oversaturating the entire half of the world, but the area around Moperville will be oversaturated until Pandora removes the clog.

I would think that the next time she used the spell and made something shrink, if she noticed that it was her that did that, the next likely thought in her head would be "if I can make things small, can I make them big too?" which would lead to "Oh my god, I made that boar big!"
  4. Story Friday August 5, 2016

Agree. DGB is not nearly enough overstaffed to let such big opportunities go. I still wanna see the main 8 start their own paranormal division. An extension of the Meddling Teenagers/Charlotte's Angels gig.
  5. Who else thinks Magic is a d*ck?

Science doesn't have to be nonexistent in the griffin's half of the world, but a lot of what they do could be powered by magic instead of electricity, spells instead of circuitry. If someone were to start splitting atoms in the griffin's half of the world, the will of magic there might not like it. As for Andrea, It seems like their knowledge of the world as a whole, the fact there are two halves and such, seems common enough, or maybe only certain organizations there know about it. Andrea and Tara could be part of basically the exact opposite of DGB where they know the laws of physics and such, but make sure only enough is known by the public to explain things magic can't.

  7. Miscellaneous Questions

Considering Pandora's reaction to Disco Wizard's mention of the system change, there's a lot of merit to what he's saying. Something more powerful than Immortals is capable of changing how magic works and has done so in the past for this half of the world.
  8. Who else thinks Magic is a d*ck?

I'm a little disappointed that Dan implied that each half of the world had different wills governing how magic worked. Before I saw this post I was wondering if maybe Magic was trying to create a certain balance between the two halves, like in the main half Magic was limited in it's use and knowledge so Science could thrive, but in the Griffin's half, Science was limited so that Magic could thrive. It could still technically be the case, the fact that magic energy flows between the two halves could suggest that the 2 wills are working together to maintain balance.

I meant in the EGS Universe where FBI agents are equipped with wands and magic spells and deal with aliens. To use Grrl Power again, Sydney and the other supers apparently get paid bi-weekly and Sydney's first paycheck which was her first 2 weeks in advanced was more than than she made the previous year running her comic shop. I could only guess that the comic shop probably brought in maybe $10k-25k a year (probably at least $20k now that she's famous). So, If Edward is making $16,030.00 a month, Sydney's likely making that bi-weekly.

Looks more like she shrinks to what I figured would be Mall Elliot height in the second stage, but then gains a couple inches in the 3-5 panels.
  11. https://www.patreon.com/posts/double-fv5-grace-6476987 Of course it'd be this kind of show. Not complaining though. Is Tedd a guy or girl in this?
  12. NP, Friday August 5, 2016

I don't think it's been directly stated, but the fact that people haven only been given one mark is probably a good indicator that a person can only be marked once. The amount of surface area the mark covers is apparently key though. It's hard to tell if Dex's, Justin's and Rhoda's marks are smaller than Susan's, but Sarah's does seems smaller. It might just be the shapes themselves though, but maybe the mark coverage is linked to how much ambient energy there is in the area. Like an energy collector, if you're going to be in an area with relatively low energy, a large mark would help gather energy for a spell easier, but an area saturated with energy wouldn't require a large mark? Tedd's mark is on his head so it might not be very big either, we'll have to wait and see if he morphs himself bald to see it though. ::shrugs::

He has to get enough to be able to get materials and stuff for Tedd's experiments, how much do you think 10 TFG's worth of stuff would have cost? Plus he was able to redecorate the basement during his 2 week suspension, sure Swedekea furniture wouldn't be all that expensive but still. Tedd's allowance also seems like it's decent if he's able to blow it on gaming peripherals and stuff. Grace moving in didn't seem to put a dent in things, though now she's got a job so she's able to buy things she needs herself and help out if need be. If Grrl Power is any indication, government jobs that involve defending the country and having top secret knowledge pays very well.

I'm not so sure, because with Rhoda's personality, how do you think she would feel if she realized she was the cause of the boar getting big, and then brought attention to it which lead to getting it killed? I think we would have seen something about her behaviour change.
  15. Story Friday August 5, 2016

Bringing this here because it's relevant: I don't think so. Magic is likely bound by some rules - either it's own rules, or rules based on some agreement with Immortals or something, but in any case can't act freely, just like immortals can't act freely and even half-immortals are limited. Maybe not completely depower, but based on Pandora's recall of the event, Immortals apparently felt the change, how it actually effected them though is unknown. Maybe they are interwoven with Magic that they changed with it so they didn't suffer any negative effects. Or maybe there was a short time where they were out of sync with the system and maybe they had to reset themselves in order to get updated, Disco Wizard did compare a magic system change to changing the OSes on everyone's computers, so to continue that analogy, Immortals would have needed to update their drivers.
  16. https://www.patreon.com/posts/dans-choice-tf-6455383 Interesting, I'm wondering if the what the scales transfer is dependent on what the person holding them wants, I mean, I wouldn't be surprised that Sarah wanted a chest like Nanase.
  17. More Speculation.

This is just a thought as to when the last system change occurred. The only warmongering horde that I can think of, would be the Mongols who's empire ruled much of Asia from 1206 to 1480, with a "Golden Horde" being established in 1251. What if, in the EGS universe, the Golden Horde was named such because they had access to magic that allowed them to expand their empire. A system change at the peak of their conquest could certain be attributed to the empire falling. The only issue with this though, is that it seems too recent, I mean if 1480 was when the system change occurred, that's 12 years before Columbus sailed to North America, and I would think that Abraham would have created the diamond somewhere in that time period too. So, the next possible time period would be a nearly a millennia earlier around the 6th century, the start of what would be called the Dark Ages. According to the wiki: If magic had a sudden upswing in usage during the "Light of Rome" period, and system change would certainly throw everything into chaos for a great period, if enough people in power knew about magic and were attributing the existence of Magic as being a gift from God, the loss of their ability to use it could be seen as punishment from God and they would act accordingly, the lack of records, plus their general avoidance of science, heck even the superstitions of witches and witch hunts could have come from this and would have been attempts to prevent a repeat of history. The Knights Templar might have been the original organization formed when people started figuring out the new system stuff like the Crusades were attempts to suppress magic use in other cultures.

Is Demonhunter still around? Maybe you can have them check the Lost and Found for ya.
  20. Miscellaneous Questions

1: he had the car before Sister, probably bought it cheap from someone on the neighborhood with the money he saved from the grocery store job he had the previous summer. That said, the car insurance is likely under his parent's policy. 2: Mrs Pompoms likely has someone come in once or twice a week to clean. 3: Probably just coincidence, I used to see PT Cruisers all over back when they were popular, now it seems like Dodge Grand Caravans are everywhere up here. 4:Either drove and traffic was light, or she ran, even without magic jogging from her place to Tedd's wasn't a big deal. Alternatively, her flight might be faster than jogging too. 5: Ms Dunkel seems like a stay at home mom, Mr Dunkel probably has an office job considering his proficiency with charts. We haven't really seen enough of Sarah's parents to guess what kind of jobs they have, Mama Kitsune is likely a stay at home mom as well considering Nanase believes that what her mom wants her to end up doing despite all the studying. Mr Kitsune could have an office job to, or maybe something in manufacturing. We know Justin's Uncle owns three Salty Crackers shops, we've never seen Justin's parents though. Mrs Pompoms, either doesn't have to work anymore because she managed to get a pretty sizeable settlement from the divorce as well as child support, or she's got a job, I thing I speculated that she might be in real estate a while back though there isn't really anything that would suggest the type of career she has. 6: Maybe, dunno for certain. 7: Hard to say, probably not though, I got a feeling that the place he works at could get pizza to Charlotte's apartment in 30 minutes or less, and there are usually many pizza joints in college/university districts. At least from what I've seen in my area. 8: Probably is henna. We should have been able to see at least 1 of the bands on her arm during "So a Date". Though it's not uncommon for people that age to get tattoos. 9:Probably because he didn't tell all the women about the hammer spell, he made it available which was well within the "guide and empower" rules, but not all women would know, or even explain how they could do it if they were able to use them, considering he was 75, which would have been 133 years ago at the time Susan met Jerry, it's possible that after a brief period of use, the novelty wore off and the fact that women could summon hammers was pretty much forgotten aside for maybe finding it's way into cartoons (might have been the inspiration for the hammerspace trope). So Magic likely didn't worry about the hammers drawing attention to magic. 10: Doubt it, it's more likely Immortals are aware of what each other does, I would imagine that when Jerry made the artifact, other Immortals took notice to make sure it was within the "guide and empower" rules. So it would have likely be common knowledge. 11: We have seen Kevin. 12: Personally, I'd like to see the 3 college girls during one of their game nights.
  21. Things You Only Noticed On Reread

I don't think so, as I said in the other threads, even though Pandora says she's going to fix things, it's not going to be simple. Best case scenario is she helps deal with Sirleck and Voltaire, unclogs the energy flow, then moves on to finding another way to help Adrian. Worst case, at least in terms tugging on people feelings, Pandora sacrifices herself saving Adrian from Sirleck, her "death" then removes the clog, not sure what, if anything would happen to Voltaire though.
  22. Things You Only Noticed On Reread

She's probably leaning a bit towards Chaotic Good if you consider her backstory, her wanting Adrian to be free to do whatever he wanted was a good intention, it just turned out that it wouldn't work the way she had hoped so she intends to fix it. Her past has been mucked up with a tragic experience in that she lost a loved one, something probably no other Immortal has experienced. So because Blaike had died trying to save others, Pandora's got a biased view that unless Adrian's willing to go all out and use his full power to help others, holding back just so that his secret can be kept safe is not worth the lives he's trying to protect.
  23. Things You Only Noticed On Reread

Not exactly sure where this would belong, it's just something silly I just thought about concerning an element of the comic, but really has no relevance to plot. Anyway... Elliot's phone is probably Android based rather than an iPhone. Why Android? Easy integration.

Thing is, Catalina would be very likely to accidentally use her mark spell, Dex had his mark for a few days and it was more obvious being on his chest, but was also being manipulated into using the spell for other things. Justin and Rhoda had their marks on their backs so they wouldn't see them right away, they may have had them for weeks before the events that caused them to use their spells, Rhoda still seem oblivious to the fact that she cause the boar to get big and even after the time skip there's no indication that she's used it again. Catalina though, I just get the feeling she would notice pretty quickly that she can do things she couldn't do before and we would have seen something by now.
  25. Story Friday August 5, 2016

Not_Tengu was not a vampire, he was just some jerk that learned he could enchant people to be his slaves and could also shapeshift. He never mentioned anything about needing to feed.
