  1. The Association Game

    Flipping houses.
  2. Story: Monday June 27, 2016

Hmmm, you know what would be interesting? If Pandora was THE Immortal that's also the embodiment of magic. That she's pulling a Sheogorath/Jyggalag with her sanity and insanity working independently of each other. When ever we've actually seen her, it's been her insane side, but whatever sent the emissary to Grace in her dreams could have been her sane side. Sanity sees the direction Insanity is going and wants her stopped before she's forced to take matters into her own hands which would cause the system change and might have catastrophic consequences.

They don't look familiar to me.
  4. Story: Monday June 27, 2016

Susan did wear a TNG uniform for a movie review episode, and Susan's worn Trek inspired clothing before, two other times were in fantasy situations and character development (Elliot dreaming about Susan in a Trois outfit and Susan's messenger avatar) so I wouldn't really say he does it as a joke. Greg has admitted to cosplaying as Chun Li, but I think all the times we've seen him he's been in his martial arts outfit. I would imagine he worse something more appropriate for the New Years Eve party but aside from that, I don't think he'd go around in public dressed in costume unless he's at a comic/anime convention. Well maybe he'd get away with wearing the Steven Universe outfit, that one isn't really out of the ordinary, either people will recognize it, or not give any thought to why he'd wear it.
  5. Story: Monday June 27, 2016

This is where things are tricky, Nanase attributed Susan's growth spurt to having been awakened, but for Justin's abs to get the way they were, he would have needed to be awakened for at least a few weeks before the card tournament and it would have been a gradual development or else he would have notice the difference right away. As far as Nanase's boobs are concerned, it's tough to say, she did seem smaller in Susan's flashback, but then Nanase was also around 16 at the time and probably not finished developing anyway. Elliot and Ellen are the only ones that don't seem to have had any physical change due to their awakenings, though they could have had strength and agility enhancements that don't have any visible affect on their bodies. Like Elliot being able to keep up with Noah was possibly due to being awakened.
  6. Story: Monday June 27, 2016

I'm thinking Amanda's "It's funny you should ask that..." will likely lead into stating that Edward did check if Greg was awakened or some such thing. Or maybe it's just a segue into someone's question about how spell books work.
  7. http://www.egscomics.com/?id=2206 I feel there might be others that could be canon, like the Star Trek online set, but yeah other than the ones that were posted with the "canon cannon". Not a Date was referenced in the main story comic so that was instant canon, Magic Shop being "sort or canon" is odd considering it transitions into Not a Date.

The bosses deserve to die anyway, they're like the turtles. Everyone else doesn't actually want to kill you, but they're afraid to go against their bosses orders. I have not actually played a Deus Ex game so I have no clue whether that statement would be true or not. Also very interesting backdrop perspective there, really makes the characters pop out at you. Speaking of which, what is the deal with those two ladies? It looks like they change shirt between panel 1 and 2, and Goat Mom? What?
  9. Story: Monday, June 20, 2016

Yeah, but I bet she'd rather be in Gryffindor.
  10. Story: Friday June 24, 2016

for the Susan and video games example, her expressing disinterest was more for Grace's choice of game, being an Ally McBeal spoof of a Phoenix Wright game, so I'd say she's in character with that, Grace seems to be in character to because I can see her being just as interested in a game with romance in it as she is with turtle stomping. Sarah is of course curious. Susan and Catalina could be seen as odd considering it suggests that Susan has several games consoles, but I could see Susan's mother buying those for her growing up and while Susan might not play them herself much, she could easily bring friends over and just watch them play. It's canon that Susan likes to riff on the games rather than actually play them.

Actually, I wouldn't at all be surprised if, after Grace got Tedd and Edward talking to each other, she gets overzealous and tries to get Edward and Adrian back on good terms.
  12. Can crap be sacrosanct?

I know of someone who apparently had never heard the term "batsh*t crazy" before I said it, and they couldn't stop laughing.
  13. Story: Wednesday, June 22, 2016

I'm pretty certain at one point early on, Edward did ask why Tedd was using the TFG to turn himself into a girl, at which point Tedd responded with "it's like a vacation". Of course back then Tedd didn't know anything about gender fluidity and he didn't even know the true definition of transgender, he just assumed it meant transformed into the opposite gender, but if Tedd insisted on using a fabricated reason like "it's like a vacation" and not "because I look girly and people make fun of me because of it so sometime I think maybe I'd feel better if I was" then of course Edward would come to think that Tedd was using it for novelty purposes and not know that there's a deeper reason for it.
  14. Story: Friday June 24, 2016

It's canon that she has that novel. And because Justin once suggested that Nanase might not be into guys, her reactions when he asks about the book means she's aware that him knowing what it was would fuel his suspicions. There are many points early on where Nanase was careless about keeping her feelings (especially about Ellen) hidden, if it wasn't for the events of Sister 2, she would have likely slipped up and her mom would have figured it out eventually. BTW, panel 2 kinda makes me wish Dan would update the comics for the first few years to his current drawing style. I know it's highly unlikely he'll do it because that's a lot of pages and he'd basically have to stop creating new content for a while unless he only did a couple at a time. At the same time leaving it the way it is does make for an interesting look at the evolution of his style.
  15. Story: Friday June 24, 2016

If anything I'd think the Detective Block and even Writer's Block III: Write less harder, are television series/movies in the EGS universe. Yeah I was referring to those 3 comics, and yeah even though it's part of a series of standalone comic, it's one of those that could still be canon for the simple fact that the characters are in character. I could easily see Tedd asking Susan if she was interested in Star Trek Online because he knows she's a fan. And I could easily see Susan being disappointed that Justin didn't have a version of her as part of his crew because of their unique relationship and it is canon that Susan can do puppy dog faces. Also, Non-Gratuitous Nudity could be canon as well because it's canon that Sarah is an artist and does comics as a hobby and her looking for reference material would be in character for her. Grace the Goddess might also be canonish, in that we know Tedd owns "Black and White" and it was the first game she played at Tedd's house, so her dreaming about being a goddess in the game is believable. Tedd Forgot To Do Something would be pushing canon though, it references as taking place after "lunchtable revelations" and while I can believe that Tedd would accidentally go to school as a girl (because Elliot went to school as a girl, though on purpose) the fact that Tedd would forget that he had a tail makes me wonder about it.
  16. Story: Wednesday, June 22, 2016

Yeah, for all he's done for her, taking her into his home and letting her stay after the threat of Damien was over. If things go bad between Tedd and Edward...as much as Grace loves Tedd, I'm not sure she'd be able to handle living in that kind of environment, and even running away with Tedd likely wouldn't sit well with her. Hmm, this is the kind of thing Jerry warned Grace about.... and I don't want to see Grace snapping because it's already canon that there is no undo button.

  18. Story: Wednesday, June 22, 2016

I still think Grace will be key to getting Tedd and Edward talking about it. She doesn't like the idea of hiding things from friends or family, knowing Tedd wants to keep his mark from his dad will bug her. Even if she doesn't know exactly why, she'll sense there's a rift forming between them and want to fix it. We've see her do it with Ellen and Sarah (there might not have been an actual rift there but she felt there was something wrong with them not hanging out with each other) and we've seen her reaction to the idea of relationships not lasting with Elliot and Sarah's breakup. She doesn't like negative mojo and the issue between Tedd and Edward would be the worst kind.

But are they parkour based and run on Crazy Taxi logic? When Dan first mentioned pizza delivery parkour games, I mentioned "Ninja Pizza Girl" but Dan said it wasn't exactly what he was thinking of. Granted he wanted a first or third person view parkour game and NPG is a side scroller. Also the game deals with bullying and such so I don't blame Dan for wanting something more lighthearted. Still, I can't shake the idea of Ninja Pizza Squirrel out of my head.
  20. Story: Wednesday, June 22, 2016

I think it will be as long, as a whole that is. Like I said before, Sister 2 went for 21 months, Squirrel Prophet went for 11 months (12 if you include Grace's dream), and So A Date went for 14 months. Sister 2 was probably more manageable though because it spanned several days in comic time and was broken up into more chunks, while the more recent arcs focused on the one day for each. Since the next arc is going to span several days in comic, I can see it being more like Sister 2, being broken up into chapters making it clear that time is passing, and still take at least a year to complete.
  21. http://www.egscomics.com/egsnp.php?id=475 I can sympathize, there was one match I was in where a guy kept calling for someone to switch to Reinhardt, I finally did just to shut him up but really if he wanted a Reinhardt on the team that bad, why didn't he switch? Edit: Just noticed the TF2 Heavy referrence in the commentary. Nice one Dan.
  22. Story: Wednesday, June 22, 2016

As if Nanase, Elliot and Diane weren't already disturbed by the idea of Edward keeping tabs on everyone's background. Hmm I wonder if Edward has an ability that lets him remember everything he reads, and recall it with great accuracy, he'd probably know the backgrounds of every person in Moperville.
  23. Story: Wednesday, June 22, 2016

It depends on who's there on Sunday. It could be just Nanase and Elliot talking with Edward for the bare minimum talking about the griffins, other half of the world, magic clog, vampires and Immortal interferrence(Voltaire)/intervention(Helena and Demetrius), Tedd and Grace likely will be there and mention the Immortal(Pandora) marking people. Ellen might be there because of her involvement and probably would insist on going because she's likely just as interested in finding out if Susan is adopted. I don't think there'd be a reason for Justin and Sarah being there, Sarah's been told that Edward should not know about her spell so she might actually avoid going over to the Verres household for a while, I can see that making Tedd and Grace suspicious unless Sarah does at least tell them about it. Justin has no reason to believe he needs to be there, everything he knows, Grace and Tedd knows and he didn't really get any information worth telling Edward from Luke. Susan, unless Edward ends up calling her over to break the news, won't be there. When we last saw Diane, Nanase told her he was going to ask Edward for more information but it didn't sound like Diane was going with them, so I doubt she'll be there either. The one I'm really not sure about though, is Ashley. She very likely wouldn't have an issue with not being there, as interesting it'd be for her, she's made it clear that she's not going to pry into anything. However, Edward might want to meet her so that he can judge whether she can be trusted given how close she's gotten to Elliot. On that thought, he might want to meet Luke as well and find who Luke's friends are. Oh, about the Immortals, yeah I gave their names mainly for our benefit. None of the main eight would know Pandora's or Voltaire's names and Elliot would be the only one (unless Ashley's there) to have heard Helena and Demetrius call each other by name, whether or not he remembers their names is another story, he might just say "they called themselves Helen and Dennis"
  24. Story: Wednesday, June 22, 2016

With all that's going on already, adding an anniversary would be too much, not only that but the 29th of January is Ellen's "birthday" so while it would be apt if the arc is named Sister 3, I still firmly believe that a time skip longer than a few days hasn't happened between Family Tree and Identity, so January 11th seems the most likely day that So a Date happens on. I'd actually like it if Tedd and Grace's anniversary and Ellen's "birthday" were together in a separate story arc some time after this next one.
