  1. Story Monday March 28, 2016

I like Ellen's look in panel 4, but unsure whether it's a reaction to Diane and Charlotte's conversation, or her wondering what Ashley's thinking, or her wondering if anyone would care if she snuggled closer to Nanase to keep her warm.
  2. EGS Fanfiction!

I know right, even these forums yell at me for typing "Tedd", which is weird because in the old forums, I don't remember "Tedd" being an issue, however "Sarah" always got underlined, and now it's not
  3. Story Monday March 21, 2016

Elliot might have known about Susan prior to the comic starting, but mostly stayed clear because of her attitude towards males at the time. The day Susan invited "Ellen" to the lunch table seems to be the first time Elliot interacted with her. Anyway, prior to the main eight forming, Nanase knew Susan, Elliot, Justin and of course Tedd. Sarah just knew Susan, Elliot and Tedd. Susan knew Nanase, Sarah, Elliot and Tedd. Tedd knew Sarah, Elliot, Susan (he tended to avoid her as well before "Lunch Table Revelations") and of course Nanase. Justin knew Nanase and Elliot. Elliot knew or knew of them all, though he didn't know that Nanase was Tedd's cousin till after she broke up with him. Grace showing up ended up causing Sarah to meet Justin and Nanase. Ellen's "birth" and the goo fight had them all officially meet each other. I think that's about right.
  4. What Are You Watching?

    Wow...just wow lol.
  5. NP Friday March 25, 2016

Well, Elliot did have over 6 months since he started doing the review show with Susan to watch it all. There were probably a few binge sessions (at least 8 episodes) on the occasional weekend/day off, and since he'd be watching the DVDs, there'd be no commercials so each episode is more like 40-45 minutes each., could get 4 episodes in 3 hours easy. heck, if you really wanted to, you could start around 9am, watch 4 episodes before lunch, 4 more before dinner, and 4 more after dinner and you'd be done half a season in 1 day. Assuming Elliot has 2 days off from work during the summer in which Sarah happens to be doing lab assistant stuff with Tedd, there's 1 season, during the other 5 days, 3 of those is spent watching 4 episodes each, the other 2 are days him and Sarah were able to get together. He could watch the entire series of TNG in 5 weeks. If he kept the same pattern, Elliot could almost watch it a second time before school started up again, he might have to spread out the last 2 seasons over a couple more weeks to accommodate homework as well.
  6. NP Friday March 25, 2016

Elliot managed to watch the entire run of TNG twice while having school, a job, a girl.....ok bad example...
  7. Story: Friday March 25, 2016

No, the main eight likely aren't the target. If this IS Sirleck's doing, then chances are the deal is for the vampires to converge on the city, maybe they've been told that Mopeville is prime feeding ground because of the high magic around it. Helena and Demetrius would see this as a big problem and try to deal with it. There has been a couple moments already in this story where Elliot and Ellen have been together and Elliot has to go back to Charlotte's after him and Nanase are done talking with Tara and Andrea because he still has to take Ashley home so that's one more opportunity for Magus to get Ellen to zap Elliot. I guess it would all depend on if Helena and Demetrius get wind of another vampire just before Tara and Andrea go home.
  8. Story Monday March 21, 2016

Yeah, the only other time there was any development between Sarah and Nanase was when Nanase was over at Tedd's trying to figure out what the deal was with her accelerated hair growth. It was mostly character growth on Sarah's part though realizing she was still jealous of Nanase and that she shouldn't be.
  9. Story Monday March 21, 2016

Another reason for Helena and Demetrius awakening Nanase in France? Maybe Mama Kitsune already believed that Noriko's actions may draw attention to the rest of the family, and wanted to make sure her daughter would be able to defend herself. Her speech to Nanase before the New Years Eve party about her and Ellen going around helping people potentially making enemies could have been from experience with Noriko.
  10. NP Friday March 25, 2016

Yeah, Justin has brought Grace up to speed on Star Wars, now it's Susan's turn with Star Trek.
  11. The Association Game

"And now for something completely different."
  12. Story: Friday March 25, 2016

Yeah, but then it wouldn't be any different than if the vampires moved in because of the ambient energy levels, at the moment Andrea has been able to pick off 6 vampires, but that could have been during their normal feeding times. If they are organized, then they may end up at some point making a simultaneous push towards whatever the goal is. So sure, Andrea's killed 6 herself and Tara helped kill a 7th, but if there's 20 more still in hiding, and they all come out at the same time, I wouldn't expect even Tara and Andrea to hold them off for long.
  13. Story Wednesday March 23, 2016

This makes me even more worried that the Immortals might not know that Magic has a will of it's own and what Pandora's doing may cause Magic to force a system change. So at the moment if other Immortals are aware of Pandora's actions, they may be like "yeah, she really shouldn't be doing that, but she hasn't actually broken the 'guide and empower' rule so there isn't much we can do about it." If they became aware that Magic could change how things worked because of her actions, they may consider that a good enough reason to act against her.
  14. Story: Friday March 25, 2016

That goes along with the idea that Helena and Demetrius don't currently trust the paranormal division to handle the vampires so they asked Andrea for help. As much as it probably pains him, he might have offered a bounty out of the billions he's embezzled. Of course if the idea is to use them as cannon fodder, then he's probably not worried about following through with any payments. And of course this depends on whether vampires still have a need to blend in with the general population and thus need money.
  15. Story Wednesday March 23, 2016

Maybe not though, would Jerry think that Immortals owed Susan a debt if Helena and Demetrius were just simply bending the rules? He didn't know that they did anything until he met Susan, Grace and Sarah. Immortals might rely on just observation to determine if another Immortal has crossed any lines. In the case of Pandora, marking people without their knowledge is worse than what Helena and Demetrius did to Susan and Nanase. Especially in the case of Dex where she pretty much had control of him through that pendant.
  16. Story: Friday March 25, 2016

Nah, she just thinks like a fighter, if there's a single enemy, smash em, if there's an organized group of enemies, take out their leader and mop up the rabble.
  17. Story: Friday March 25, 2016

Ok. Also, I just noticed something. On Wednesday's story page, the hover text has the date 2019-03-23. Today's page has the hover text 20XX-03-25. ...za?
  18. Story: Friday March 25, 2016

Well, if someone's organizing vampires and having them come to Moperville, Edward definitely needs to be told, I'm not getting my hopes up but this is not just a simple bulldog dragon causing a ruckus near a comic book shop, Arthur Arthur should be obligated to send agents to investigate a possible vampire infestation and find the cause of it. Speaking of possible cause. This doesn't seem like something Pandora would do, despite her insanity and wanting to "destroy" the world, I doubt she recruit aberrations to help with that. Colonel Sanders? Given his behaviour, maybe, depends on if ancients hold the same hatred for aberrations that immortals do, maybe not though. The Sirleck theory is sounding better, he's an aberration, probably has the ability to contact other aberrations, "hey I know of some very juicy targets for anyone interested" kind of thing. I'm not sure if Magus would be aware of that plan if true, he already despised the idea of asking for Sirleck's assistance a second time. Is JML still around? I haven't seen any posts from him since the forums came back.
  19. NP Friday March 25, 2016

The return of chibis! Yeah, Grace's reaction in the third panel was pretty much mine to when I first played. "There's no way a post apocalyptic town with medical supplies that may as well be the equivalent to the wild wild west could have fixed up a bullet to the head from pretty much point blank range, the brain should have been mush."
  20. The Weather.

It rained all day here, like heavy enough that it looked like new creeks were forming in farmer's fields as water made it way towards ditches.
  21. Story Wednesday March 23, 2016

Well Jerry did admit that if he would have loved to see what would have happened if Diane drank the punch, the only thing that made him resist that urge was his previous life's promise to Susan. Another possibility goes back to the reason why Helena and Demetrius are watching over Elliot in the first place, they don't remember why but they're compelled to. This suggests that they made a promise to someone to do so in their previous life. If that promise included Elliot's friends, like Jerry's promise to Susan included her friends and family, then that could explain why they were in France when Nanase and Susan were there, It's also possible that the promise included not letting it known of their connection to Elliot, or whoever they made their promise to. So of course they wouldn't tell Nanase and Susan that they specifically asked their help killing the vampire because Nanase was Elliot's friend, and maybe they wanted Andrea to stick around and kill the vampires because they weren't sure if Elliot and his friends to ready to handle that many, as strong as Nanase is, she might not be able to deal with that much herself and it's clear that Elliot and the rest are not strong enough or skilled enough to utilize their abilities. Again one could argue that they should go to DGB or something, but if Helena and Demetrius promised to protect Elliot and friends, then they probably believe there's something special about him and so they probably need to make sure that he and his friends are capable of handling whatever dangers they may face. The big question is, who did they make the promise to?
  22. Story Wednesday March 23, 2016

This is an interesting thought. Does Nanase believe that Helena and Demetrius are the same immortals her and Susan met in France, or is she just mad because what Andrea just described reminded her of the France incident? Of course we know they're the same, but Tara's description of them is not exactly how Nanase saw them, but I guess if Susan told Nanase about immortals needing to reset, she could assume that's what happened to Helena and Demetrius.
  23. The next NP story

Apparently North Carolina just passed a law that forces transgendered people to use public restrooms of the gender they were born as, everyone that follows Dan probably saw him retweet this earlier. Sounds like the lawmakers were only thinking about the person's genitals and not their actual appearance when making this law.
  24. Story Wednesday March 23, 2016

That's one of those things that only Dan can be sure of. As it is, we know the high magic levels in Moperville is capable of drawing in those sensitive to magic, so really Sirleck wouldn't have to do anything to bring vampires in, the high ambient energy is doing that for him.
  25. Things You Only Noticed On Reread

Jerry did know about Raven because he suggested Susan, Grace and Sarah go to him for any help, and Grace stated they already knew about Raven being an elf who tried to protect Ellen. He definitely knows about Tedd since he spoke of him by name when Susan said Grace's boyfriend's dad was the former head of the paranormal division. He likely knows the connection between Edward and Raven, as well as Pandora being Raven's mother, but Pandora did say that immortals are capable of keeping themselves hidden from other immortals, so Jerry might not know what Pandora has been doing for the past several years. I'm also afraid that kind of information might not have been saved through Jerry's reset either.
