  1. Comic for Monday, November 28, 2022

If the strip were moving along at real time, we'd be following the adventures of the Main Eight's high school-aged children right about now.
  2. Comic for Wednesday, November 23, 2022

I can remember few elections where i didn't feel that was my only choice.
  3. Comic for Monday, November 21, 2022

Also including the peak of a G2 type star's emission curve, so there's plenty of signal (too much, sometimes, hence the need for an iris). Your point about alien eye perhaps having wildly different structures is a good one. Thinking too hard about human-alien hybrids hurts my brain.
  4. Comic for Monday, November 21, 2022

It's interesting that neither Elliot nor Justin noticed the similarity between Noah's "hair" and Grace's antenna . I wonder if Ellen would make the connection? Her Second Life memories include a very intimate connection with a seyunolo who looks a lot like Noah.
  5. Comic for Monday, November 21, 2022

Perhaps it just takes some conscious control. Which Noah has a lot of, normally. The hair may be just a second layer of protection, for when he forgets, or his emotions are too raw for him to maintain the necessary concentration.
  6. Comic for Monday, November 21, 2022

Interesting thought. So much reveal here. Has Grace had these problems? Or has she somehow grown out of them?
  7. NP Comic for Saturday, Nov 19, 2022

Huh, I only just realized why Nanase's game persona was resonating so strongly for me: For a few day's after I had a hip replaced, I was completely unable to use stairs. It putan incredible crimp in my life. I couldn't even go home until I could climb enough stairs just to get in.
  8. NP Comic for Saturday, Nov 19, 2022

You pretty much have to have some wealth to be able to take off a year or so in order to run for office. Losing the election would leave a person of modest means bankrupt.
  9. NP Comic for Saturday, November 12, 2022

Thank you for answering a question I forgot I had asked.
  10. Comic for Friday, November 11, 2022

    Or, maybe, blood.
  11. Comic for Wednesday, November 9, 2022

I can't find the comic, but didn't Noah once tell Elliot that his parents were killed over a secret? I wonder if he'll have that conversation with Diane, once she's again capable of having a conversation.
  12. Comic for Wednesday, November 9, 2022

This new Diane is temporary, I'm thinking. When Susan had her "Major Angst-Induced Awakening" it took a powerful Immortal to calm her down. Diane is at least able to be distracted by Noah's surprise revelation. Her reaction should be telling. My expectation is that her first thought will be to reject the idea of having a new sibling thrust upon her, but that she'll eventually come around. Whether she'll continue to jeopardize her relationship with Lucy by keeping secrets is another question.
  13. NP Comic for Tuesday, November 8, 2022

Full Scooby mode Engaged! No wonder Ellen is terrified, if there's anyone in the world who knows how good Nanase is at cracking mysteries...
  14. Comic for Monday, November 7, 2022

I do believe we have a bingo! Quarter-immortal Diane is coming into her heritage. She may turn out to be a monster hunter after all! Assuming their are any monsters left besides poor Noah. Who could talk her down before she and Noah trash the school? Nanase? Rhoda? Shame Raven's apparently not available.
  15. Comic for Friday, Nov 4, 2022

Diane's life has undergone several serious changes lately, she may even be suffering a bit of PTSD from that night at the mall. Now, just as she thought she was going to get some resolution on one of them, she had the rug pulled out from under her; I'd cut her some slack.
  16. Comic for Friday, Nov 4, 2022

Diane's probably used to guys following her around, Noah's just unfortunate to get caught at the end of her particularly intense emotional roller coaster ride.
  17. Comic for Wednesday, November 2, 2022

Maybe he does not wish to be where Diane might be forced to confront him, feeling it should be her choice if she wishes to speak to him. It may be time for him to start winding down the "Adrian Raven, history teacher" persona, and start looking for a new life. Noah seems to be in the same grade level as the Main Eight, so that reason for staying is disappearing. He seems to have been at Moperville South for long enough for it to be a little odd.
  18. NP Comic for Saturday, Oct 29, 2022

Interesting that Ellen has picked up on the rift in motivation between Gary and Rich. And "Prize Winning Chicken" is inspired--there's so much you could do with that, even is she did pick it in a panic.
  19. Comic for Friday, October 28, 2022

I've spent waaaay more time than any sensible person would wondering where the Y-chromosome would come from in such a union. Automatically generated? Plucked from a relative? Pilfered from a random passerby?
  20. Comic for Wednesday, Oct 26, 2022

I can't tell whether Noah is about to make Diane's day better or worse.
  21. Comic for Wednesday, Oct 26, 2022

That seems most likely. Adrian is in a difficult position. Having accepted Noah as his son, he owes Noah candor. But he also needs to respect Diane's privacy, a thing he may have had difficulty doing after his mother "died." It would be hard to tell that tale without acknowledging the existence of Diane and Susan, even if he didn't name them. Of course, Noah is intelligent, powerfully magical, knows what Adrian looks like when he drops the "old man" form, must certainly have heard the rumors about Diane killing a monster and may well have added up the clues for himself.
  22. NP Comic for Tuesday, October 25, 2022

Bulletin: Larry, our Larry, is having a fun conversation with a pretty girl. Who seems to be enjoying herself. We now return you to our regularly scheduled kvetching about Rich. Who seems to be doing a little creative editing.
  23. Comic for Monday, October 24, 2022

Or Ellen. I wonder if the watches still work, or if Sarah has managed to drain the excess enough to render them useless.
  24. Comic for Monday, October 24, 2022

Good plan Diane, everything is going swimmingly!
  25. Comic for Friday, October 21, 2022

She's hiding a big secret, that will take up a significant amount of her time, from her best friend/lover. There's no way that this turns out well, no matter how pure her motives are. She's used to protecting her friends, but she's about to drive them away.
