This right here? probably a bad idea. I don't know why but microsoft seems to assume that users will just drop everything for an update. The only times I've had one NOT get stuck involved leaving the machine idle for several hours while the updates ran.

If Magus returning to the physical plane is an important step in Pandora's plan, or was prior to her argument with her son and the others haven't realized things have changed, then colonel whoever may think the most expedient way to derail her plans is to take Elliot out of the equation. he may be trying to work against her but operating on out of date information.

And now i feel REALLY weird because i'm not used to arguing against viewing things from a detached perspective... This is... strange...

While there is a certain logic to what your saying, you're trying to apply logic to emotions. If that kind of thinking actually worked, Hack and I wouldn't have been getting mad at eachother over clashing views when drinking came up in another thread a while back. Looking back on those events after the fact the people aren't going to see the logical sequence the events took, or the psychology behind how the different responses lead to each-other, they're just going to remember how it felt.

i meant because Worf and Deana dated for half a season and it never went anywhere, but with Jadzia it did. not a perfect metaphor, but still ironic.

Would have been funnier if the other two were dressed as Worf and Jadzia, even if it would be a bit out of character.

InfiniteRemnant replied to Howitzer's topic in Comic Discussion
yeah, some of those are a bit of a stretch, but i didn't mean to imply she remarried. just that the child lives with their father because something didn't last. also while said father can be, he doesn't need to be the biological father, there are PLENTY of scenarios for both knowing and (if the dad is dumb enough, or the timing coincidental enough) not knowing the child isn't his. for example, Noriko realizing after she left that she's pregnant, not wanting to go back to Edward out of a (possibly irrational) belief that the child will be like Tedd, so she gives them up and (insert nameless extra here) takes them in.- 157 replies

InfiniteRemnant replied to Howitzer's topic in Comic Discussion
Based on http://www.egscomics.com/index.php?id=1450 compared to http://elgoonishshive.wikia.com/wiki/Nanase Duck has roughly the same face shape as nanase. (family resemblance? Admittedly we never see his eyes...) Duck doesn't appear to be phased by the shenanigans Nanase, Justin, and Grace occasionally pull at the comic shop, (illusions, fairy dolls, grace's inconsistent appearance, etc) which would imply a certain degree of familiarity with magic. Mismatched haircolor is easily explained away by Dye, Magic, Paternal hereditary traits, or a combination of the three. Duck physically appears to be Jr high age, judging by the height gap between himself and the main cast while still being the same height as his friends. Which puts him in the correct age range based on the speculated gap between Ted and the unknown sibling. Duck gets a surprising amount of screen time for an extra, showing up in multiple arcs. It's entirely possible Duck lives with his father and has little to no contact with Noriko. It would fit her established MO.- 157 replies

that character was ass-pulled at random, but what the hell. I'm sticking with it. How is Raven in any way a necessity?- 157 replies

It still doesn't make any sense. With the amount of information we have the blond 12 year old with the baseball cap who frequents the comic shop is just as likely as Noah. ...gets about as much screen time too...- 157 replies

It's still entirely possible to build a character in those games that is so inept with a particular variety of firearm, you have to wonder how they figured out which end is the barrel. even more so back before they got rid of percentage based skills in favor of expanding the perk tree.

Just had a scary thought... What if that has nothing to do with the immortals, or with the aberrations skill at hiding? how do we know Sirlec is the only body-snatcher in the area? Arthur J. Arthur has been pointed out to be acting oddly out of character... Complex operations have a much greater chance of success if you have an inside man...

aren't we talking about Fallout though? way too many of the guns in that series are either rusted messes, or improvised from spare parts... and whether the player is even slightly competent with that type of weapon depends on skill progression. It's Entirely possible to be 0-3 here.

Does Elija's comment on this page count as being wrong-genre savvy? i mean, he figured out something was going to happen, but assumed it would be a murder mystery...

I would go with the latter option, the former might interfere with villain runs (some factions start off friendly but are still killable).
