  1. Story Wednesday August 1, 2018

Well, sort of, but I'm still wondering where the word appeared first time. Especially considering only way she can actually stop using magic would be to be burned out. I mean, she WAS burned out when the new dojo was starting, but the moment she got magic back, she would immediately be stronger and possibly faster, which would make her more dangerous even without using her special attacks.
  2. Story Wednesday August 1, 2018

That is incorrect. Tedd talked WoM into doing a minimal-change reset. But that's still a reset. "At its most technical, how magic works has not changed at all. What has changed is how much magic is being kept in check." Tedd talked WoM out from doing severe change. Magic still did a minimal changes. The mandatory sideefect of telling the seers is part of severe change. The word "reset" was never used by WoM itself ... or by the emissary ... hell, where did we get the word "reset" from? Did we mixed it up with immortals reseting?

Yeah, you kinda need something bigger for that. Or maybe smaller. A collapsar is not very big, size-wise. Then again, I don't like to think what it would take to weaponise a collapsar. Me, I'd just stay away from the darn things. Little advice about staying away from weaponized version of Kevyn Andreyasn's research: The Andromeda Galaxy is NOT far enough. Neither is our galaxy from Andromeda.

I suppose it depends on how you look at it. If we look at what science is potentially capable of today, I'd still say he does pretty darn well. Simply take a fair sized asteroid, accelerate it towards the Earth and enjoy the special effects. I doubt mankind has invented a nuke more destructive than what will happen. Not yet. Also, it's hard to justify any stronger solution if your target is mere planet. If, however, you want to destroy whole solar system ... Hence my use of the term 'magic.' Yes, but it was suspiciously missing in previous sentence. And it's not JUST magic. The story of original trilogy itself is full of fantasy tropes.

There are enough ways to build sci-fi just from stuff which physicist say is technically possible. (Sure, limiting yourself to stuff which is actually possible may be too strict - but wormholes are totally legitimate solutions to the equations even if noone knows how to build one.) Don't forget fantasy. There is lot of fantasy in Star Wars. You only need to scrap the thin sci-fi paint. Or at least it used to be that way before reboot movies. I'm afraid to ask which earlier stories. I'm not sure season with magic button at the end would be that much better ... but it's true the continuity would be interesting experiment. Yes. Although I seriously don't think Isaac Newton is the deadliest. Sure, he is deadly and he comes on often, but there are deadlier ones. Albert Einstein. Stephen William Hawking. Zefram Cochrane. Kevyn Andreyasn.

Don't worry, they can escape through a CRACK IN THE EVENT HORIZON! (Honest to God. They actually used that as an excuse to escape a black hole once. Ow.) ... WE care. But I'm not surprised that Brannon Braga doesn't care about us.

OH NO! THE SINGULARITY IS ABOUT TO EXPLODE! That would definitely piss the romulans off.
  8. NP Wednesday, Aug 15, 2018

It can also run on annihilation, zero point energy, forced quantum singularity, infinity stone ... ... oh. Ok, if you talk only about current generation technology, then yes nuclear it is.
  9. http://egscomics.com/egsnp/gam-27 Ship from previous page confirmed. Just in case someone would be doubting. Regarding Machamp ... sure, he looks weirder than Grace from front, but if you look at him from back he basically looks same, he just have head lower, like in middle of top arm pecs. He also doesn't have any tails. Luckily, just because it's her third evolution doesn't mean she's high level, because otherwise I would suspect she's more dangerous than Diane and Sarah's Graces combined.

    No but nice try
  11. ...and yeah Tedd isn't interested in male on male, but as a female she appeared to have some attraction towards Elliot that she believed would become problematic if she remained female permanently. Feeling attraction isn't enough for starting relationship ... although it is enough for problems.
  12. NP Wednesday, Aug 15, 2018

How do you determine what kind of (ocean going) ship a (relation-) ship is? You order the ships and try to map them on some range. Big range of relationships obviously requires quite extreme range in (ocean) ships. Or you wait for someone to post this image:

Hrm. The USS Nimitz has a displacement of over 100.000 tonnes. It would outmass the Greek fleet all on its own. Granted, "The face that launched a really big boat" doesn't sound quite as good as the bit with a thousand ships. Also, it could easily sink whole Greek fleet. Without firing, just by hitting them. But we were talking just about number, because yes, the bit about thousand ships sounds better. Not speaking about the fact that we already have several helicarriers in EGS fleet.
  14. NP Wednesday, Aug 15, 2018

Hmmm ... at 1812, Royal Navy had over 500 warships ... meaning that it's still less than 1,186 ships Greek had at Troy (I suppose 186 of them didn't cared about Helen). Ok, first step Britain, next step Greek.
  15. There's also this as well, it would seem like Tedd and Elliot's relationship is similar to Justin and Elliot's. Though Elliot had already made his feelings towards Tedd known That link actually CONFIRMS the "worse "as a sister" than with Sarah". He directly compares what he feels to Tedd with what he feels to Sarah. Well, there obviously are certain factors which would make them get together. But I think that just not seeing anyone else wouldn't be enough, and yes the fact Tedd would have problem having relationship with male, even one which is female so often, would be one of them.
  16. Why would Ashley and Grace be in another dressing room? There seem to be plenty of space in this one ... ok, it probably just seem that way due to need to fit the "camera" inside. ... wait, I know: Elliot is dressing Tedd and Ashley is dressing Grace and it should be surprise for them. Or maybe Grace is dressing Ashley as surprise for Elliot?
  17. The image is nice but Elliot and Tedd? That would be worse "as a sister" than with Sarah ...

Ah, I haven't watched any of the Alola episodes yet. Me neither. I went directly to the wiki - I mean, James's page - to see which pokemon is looking closest.
  19. NP Wednesday, Aug 15, 2018

    Nah. It's Mareanie.
  20. NP Wednesday, Aug 15, 2018

http://egscomics.com/egsnp/gam-26 THERE are their Graces. They weren't there two comics ago. Were they on previous comics just outside panel? And of course they only care about play. BTW interesting combination. Jessie released her Arbok long ago. But the other Grace looks like generation 7 pokemon James obtained in Alola region ...

Let us all pray sincerely to whatever powers we believe in that Jack Snyder will never be pegged to direct a Pokémon movie. Darkness beyond twilight Crimson beyond blood that flows Buried in the flow of time .... ... on second though, maybe this wouldn't be the best deity to pray for LOW amount of property damage. Were you aware they've been pumping out at least one a year for the past twenty years? I don't think they're going to stop anytime soon. (Not that I've seen them all - the last one my sister bothered getting a copy of was the fourth one, and if it wasn't for watching them with her I probably would have stopped with the first or second.) Wikipedie says 21. Unbelievable that they still have something new to film about - oh wait no they don't.

In the anime characters have been seen to resort to other means of violence--for example, in a scene deleted in the English-language version, James (the male out of the usual Team Rocket group) brandishes a handgun during a confrontation with the protagonists. ONCE. Also, you know, James is supposed to be small fish. Giovanni the team leader is the evil mastermind behind creating of Mewtwo. He never seem to use anything else than pokemons in his evil ways ... AND he uses Mewtwo for BATTLES in gym. He could easily use him for world domination. Ash doesn't seem to be only one who can survive deadly-looking pokemon attacks. The gun was supposed to be more effective, although I also question why. There is also unexpectedly low amount of property damage.
  23. Yes, this is more like the facial expressions and body language I would expect from specifically the "Pet Kitties" mental effect. I mean, sure, Susan and Diane were also cute, but not so much "pet". (Granted, real cats are rarely this much pet either, but ...) Hmm, I'm betting a major factor was finding a green that would complement rather than clash with Nanase's red. Actually, isn't Nanase's red also darker than usually? (Rhetorical question: of course it is)
  24. NP Monday August 13, 2018

Oh, believable motivation for Diane. I thought all the fighting in this game was done through Grace-a-Monsters? *scratches head* Which, BTW, is pretty convincing proof that the "bad guys" don't mean it seriously. I mean, real bad guys don't play by rules, and the game battles are FULL of rules, so unless they are enforced by physical laws as in other RPGs ... ... it's the anime which doesn't make sense, because in anime physical laws seem to work normally. Relatively. Yes. Sarah totally missed the clue. Justin is ready for fight, Gracemander is ready for fight and she doesn't even have Grace out - who do she think they would attack? Obviously her.

Oh god, I wonder if, when Gracesaur reaches her final metamorphose, anytime she uses those abilities(or whatever equivalent Dan gives her) she makes a "Breaking Bad" reference. Maybe. Anyway, I'm certain she doesn't need any outside chemical help to get into her state ... but that doesn't mean she isn't stoned. Similarly how Hypnograce can hypnotise herself.
