And she may also say something about their history ... I mean, she will say something so embarrassing for Edward he will go away again
  2. Story Wednesday June 28, 2017

Considering William uses the same explanation for why he isn't alien I think it's STANDARD answer for any uryuom ... Also, on this page commentary So, unless Dan deliberately lied about that ...
  3. NP, Friday June 23, 2017

Yes, no problem ; At that point, Edward was still director of paranormal. So, when a member of DGB (Edward) is informed about some potential problem for national security, he must inform the director (Edward) so the director may decide what to do. Obviously, both the mentioned member and the director needs to write some report about it, which Edward certainly did.
  4. Or WHEN he wants it. Sarah might not know it, but no matter how sinister she feels, Tedd can end the game whenever he wants to.
  5. NP, Friday June 23, 2017

That would make them aliens. But William is born and raised US citizen. That means he's under US law practically by definition. They might been the sort of believers who are compensating lack of actual knowledge of their religion with fanaticism. I see "Hey that would be interesting" as valid reason. I like well-build worlds. But yes, Dan obviously doesn't have enough time for stories he WANTS to tell, so why would he spent it on tangents. Why would Will mention legal entanglements that wouldn't apply to the current situation? That's what gave me the idea that Uryouom law might extend to Uryouoms on other worlds such as Earth. It game ME the idea that there are just few Uryuoms on Earth and there is basically no market for CMD on Earth to speak about, so any CMD on Earth was bought on parent planet and then brought here. So, it's not because the EARTH (or Uryuoms on Earth) would be under that law ; it's because the MARKET would be under that law. On the other hand, the conversation is FILLED with stating the obvious. Both William and Edward are saying stuff which would never be mentioned in normal conversation and this may be part of it. PS: Just got other explanation: Edward might not really care about breaking the law, BUT he might imply that illegal device might be not safe to use because people building illegal devices often doesn't understand concepts of safety. Of course, the device being build by Williams parents might not provide any guarantees it's safety features are matching standard safety laws either ...
  6. Sarah obviously casted some darkness/shadow-based spell there. Or maybe just the light from wand makes so dark shadows ... And yes I can totally see her reading about familiars somewhere and misunderstanding it.
  7. Story Wednesday June 28, 2017

That would put my opinion of Lavender down several notches if she was toying with Greg to make Edward jealous. Also, she seems more like the type who would lower people's opinion of her by using some mind-control device/magic on Edward. (Her appearance in Zombie Plans when Edward talks about stuff like that may be foreshadowing.) Also, Greg's girlfriend is "certainly" Vladia. That's reasons why EDWARD might not want to have anything with Lavender. I was speaking about OUR reason for not wanting to see their romance develop more. Also, yes, Tedd is very unlikely to complain based on his new mother being same species his girlfriend is from one quarter. He would have same problems with ANY new mother - which may actually be reasons why Edward will never introduce Lavender to him. Not even to give her truly human form (assumed she would like it ; it seems she's either satisfied with results of her CMD (which may be hacked but not as well as TF-gun) or she wants to solve the problem herself). Which is related to what? We didn't even saw Noriko's FACE, obviously Dan is hiding it for the big surprise.
  8. NP, Friday June 23, 2017

I didn't get that impression. I thought earth-based Uryouoms were bound by homeworld law even living on Earth. You got impression Uryuom have battlecruiser on Earth's orbit? Cloaked one, presumably, as otherwise it would be hard to hide. Unless Mr. Verres wrote "this is totally transparent" on it. Anyway, no. If Earth would accept that law, he wouldn't be talking about parent planet. Edward concerns might be either moral or related to the possibility that helping criminals could cause some problems even while technically legal - especially if the way William obtained it was to steal the prototype from some Uryuom government secret research facility. Yeah ... there are worse problems Dan is avoiding. Like the question of how many Uryuoms are on Earth (also WHY). Because both "few" and "lot" would have sideefects, and what about the FTL technology they presumably possess to get there? Yes. Another option is that while it's legal, the parents are so religious they didn't want to touch the stuff since someone told them it's religiously sanctioned. Obviously we can only speculate ... because Dan is unlikely to make story arc for it. If that would be enough ... might be something requiring whole novel to explain. Also, explaining the religious stuff without alienating some religious readers would be hard.
  9. Story Wednesday June 28, 2017

Yes. Fantastic. She's totally on the same side as Tedd with this and she wants him to know it. Tedd can choose not to do anything, but he'd of course be torn by his desire to work with magic, and he'd probably have to live with seeing magic all around him, tempting him to do something with it, even if there are other seers in the world to get people using Magic again. Well, I don't think it's really chore for him ... it would probably be something which he would really like, so much that even the fact Magic is jerking him to do it is unlikely to stop him doing it. On the other hand, yes, you get mixed feelings when you realize someone is expecting you do some work for him even if you actually like doing it. His dad WAS keeping them up to date - at least in writing, but I would think they WOULD read it. Except ... why confiscating the glove and watches when they don't work, just like the wands THEY have? Yeah. Cranium is sooo unhappy with agent Wolf forcing her into government work ... even if it wasn't her, I suspect that while what Pandora said was technically true it wasn't THAT bad. Especially considering Mr. Verres was responsible (and not Arthur Arthur). Or he can do something even faster with Seer's SECOND purpose. ... I would like to see that, but I suspect she doesn't need to be taught by him directly & personally ... although the face she will make when she finds out the stuff she's learning is based on Tedd's research would be nice to see anyway. Yeah. There is definitely more to Noriko's story AND there is definitely more to Helena and Demetrius story AND maybe there will even be connection between those two ... and we will be lucky if we find out before Lord Tedd story. On the other hand, Tedd already knows about the dam from Sarah ... but, yes, maybe he will mention her son. What seems more likely for her to mention is that she was just as surprised as him when she found that her plan may cause magic reset - which she already sort of told to Sarah as well, but it would feel like good place to repeat it now because they can bond over that. Yes, it does seem that it would be around the same time, although the order in which things happened would be important later ... Likely because he still loves Noriko. Which might be weird but there would be lot of real-life examples, so ... Also yes only reason why not want to see more with Lavender is that it might complicate things later when Noriko returns.
  10. NP Wednesday June 28, 2017

... yeah, those looks are somewhat similar.
  11. NP, Friday June 23, 2017

If Will says "common" that ought to be taken from his frame of reference. His frame of reference is as an Uryouom hatched and raised on Earth and should reflect CMD availability on Earth. You'd expect they would be something of a necessity. Hmmmm ... considering he was born on Earth, it SHOULD be, true ... on the other hand, he was talking about devices legally sold on his parent-planet, suggesting there isn't any market for them on Earth. There may be some reason why it's impossible to just hack legal CMDs without hardware modifications. Like, maybe the architecture is that bad - ok, ok, some people would take that as challenge, I know. But the basic premise is already pretty weird, so maybe it's part of suspension of disbelief caused by Dan not understanding programming/hacking enough (as he admitted in commentary). I was more commenting that the gray market TF Gun was obviously BUILD by some Uryuom (William's parents, specifically) using language which Uryuom used (although not for CMDs) and therefore some senior Uryuom programmer should be able to work with it faster than Tedd. ... in fact, WHAT happened with William's parents? Why didn't THEM upgraded the device? A Pocahontas remake with giant smurfs, was the description I got. Don't forget it's 3D. That's very important point. Soooo ... maybe it's like watching Pocahontas with one eye and Dances with Wolves with the other? ... BTW, whoa, smilies started working! My error. I just saw "2009" and remembered the worse of the two movies. I was thinking about adding something that you would get different results if you compare with THAT avatar. Or with, say, THIS hobbit instead of the Jackson's one. Or whatever this was from - oh wait that was standalone. Nevertheless, it DOES include Spock, so it's definitely on-topic with Star Trek ... It doesn't rate high with originality, but it definitely rates hight with budget and effects.

I'm not sure what's the problem with pregnant-like form, and we already got pregnant-looking Lisa, but with magically-inducing pregnancy, there's the question of who the baby is. I mean, it would be weird (and icky) for magic to just create a child from nothing and destroy it afterwards, but if it actually be someone transformed to unborn child, that could work ... Ok that I might believe. He doesn't look easy to recognize so yes that would be my take as well (no I didn't recognized him before Dan's commentary). That wouldn't be argument to forgive him even if it would be deliberate from him, and it wasn't. Extra hair and gap between shirt and skirt. While she holds him like baby, I don't think babies are THIS small like ever. Looks more like the fairy doll. For Elliot? I don't think so. There was Fox, Felix and Tedd - wait. Elliot here. But neither looks that much similar this.
  13. Story Monday June 26, 2017

I agree that it seems likely and that alternative would be someone who we don't know. Just, we shouldn't consider it confirmed yet. Note that "some more memory recall" is not really needed - like, WE may get flashback when we finally get to it, but it's NORMAL memory for Pandora, not something from her previous incarnation. She would also likely FIRST get this memory, THEN went to Susan for confirmation, but yes, with Jerry sort-of confirming it and with good look at her (her aura or whatever) Pandora realizes it must be true and therefore the breakdown.

This forum isn't LaTeX… \ldots are not LaTeX specific, works well in plain TeX.
  15. NP, Friday June 23, 2017

If you mean regarding the "fixing transformation", yes. It may also mean "plenty of them among general Uryuom population", not specifically on Earth. We are not sure how big the community of Uryuom on Earth is. Apparently, not big enough to contain any senior programmer. Yes. Well, if you compare with The Way of the Warrior or The Best of Both Worlds on the "TV episode" side and Avatar or Lord of the Rings on the "movie" side ...
  16. NP, Friday June 23, 2017

Yes. And if I remember correctly they DID insulted him with very similar remarks when he was younger. Actually it's the Star Trek V which doesn't exist.
  17. NP, Friday June 23, 2017

    1) We don't know how many Uryuoms are on Earth and how much technology they brought. It IS possible there are no other Cosmetic Morphing Devices on Earth except the gun Tedd has, the other gun Tedd has, the TF gun Edward has somewhere hidden for case Tedd makes some trouble with his gun, the gun Arthur Arthur has for same purpose and the two TF guns the team who is verifying Tedd's research have. However, yes, it is unlikely ; in fact, I suspect Lavender has some non-standard CMD as well. Still, the TF gun Tedd has might be the only one Vladia is allowed to know about. 2) I'm not entirely sure standard CMD would be able to make Vladia male. Sure, the form was preloaded on Tedd's TF gun, but we don't know if it works on standard CMD as well. It definitely seems that way, but I'm sure if she wouldn't be sexy the decision would be harder. Wait wait, "being human at heart" is THIRD way to be human, unrelated to looking as human and feeling as human. And, apparently Vlad had some of that because without it, he wouldn't go for the way out. (Also, I'm sure calling this "being human at heart" is speciesism and both Adrian and uryuoms would have right to protest.)
  18. Story Monday June 26, 2017

Watching whatever Pandora decides to do would be certainly fun as well. There is some episode when some bald guy is trying to take blame, but we all know it was actually Kirk. I don't think choose but influence may not be so crackpot. They don't apply for everyone - for example, full Uryuom and griffins are excluded. However, they may still apply to all you mentioned - vampires are former humans, the limits may be how immortals are allowed to interact with humans and Grace is quarter human which should be enough to awaken her. The hammers, however, sounds like most likely option. Considering Tedd didn't get the memo that they were supposed to ENCOURAGE inappropriate comments ...
  19. Story Monday June 26, 2017

Really? Grace was willing to forgive Damien; everyone forgave his minions. You think they can't forgive a tryst that ran its course in their infancy? Elliot did NOT forgive Damien. Funny that she IS technically fairy child as well. But I find the option that Mrs. Pompoms knows more interesting. (Although yes, stillbirth might be better alternative than infertility.) Obviously, IF that was Pandora. Jerry sensed a connection between Susan and Diane, something that made him assume they were sisters, he couldn't explain how or even confirm whether it was true, but there was something and he seemed determined to figure out what it was for the sake of his vow to Susan (and being able to par-tay sooner). Pandora admitted to Sarah that the evidence was in front of her, even if she didn't specifically tell Sarah who she was talking about, it'd be easy to assume that Pandora sensed the same thing about Susan and Diane that Jerry did, but had chosen to ignore it because of the lie a previous incarnation of herself passed along. And Pandora must have encountered Diane a number of times while watching over Adrian at MSHS. Adrian and Diane had at least 1 run in that we saw, and likely more throughout the past few years. Pandora might not have needed to see both Diane and Susan to sense a connection, but Diane and Adrian could have sent up flags that there was something and Pandora would be like "nah that's not possible" Yes. The fact that she didn't remembered the magic change was due to her reading it in journal more than four centuries ago. Easy to forget some detail like this. Note that this may also be explained by the Woman with Susan's face being Pandora's descendant. I mean, sidelocks are technically not hereditary, but they might've been used as foreshadowing. Hey, all humans are already related. Unless the relationship was close it was no reason to terminate the night. Although I can imagine it started to be awkward. ... i think this is the "this new character must be someone we know" taken to extreme. Also, cheating with own husband and then throwing fit about it is interesting way how to force divorce. No matter what your pyromania and Jaya Ballard are saying, in THIS case, only good way how to handle Voltaire is to let Pandora at him. She has motivation, power AND knowledge how to hurt him, while you punching him could allow him to kill you in self-defense.

The coloring alone would be enough for most, I feel. "Oh, you're going to rob me...darn...but ooo! I'll look sawheeeet while you do it!" Another thing is that Indiana Jones will just rob you, while Hellboy will also wake you up and ask questions.
  21. NP Monday June 26, 2017

I tell ya, he lurks here. Saw my comment of "more blonde Rhoda" and there we have it. More likely, someone on twitter/tumblr/patreon had same comment. Unless he really was interested in Susan. He was pretty devastated after she was done with him. IMHO he was devastated because 1) it never happened to him and it was therefore big blow to his ego 2) NOW when she's unobtainable he really IS interested in Susan.
  22. NP, Friday June 23, 2017

Grace's lespuko genes let her mix and match parts of forms, but any uryoum that is changed via a clone form will not have their antennae while in the clone form, as seen with Will and Gill. I imagine this would be true of a greater seynoulu as well. There's no proof that Ellen's beam acted as a clone form beam of some sort, but it's not impossible given the spell was acting outside of its normal parameters. Vladia hasn't attempted to change back for a number of reasons, but a big one is the fact that if Ellen's beam didn't stabilize her shapeshifting, the attempt could kill her. The "attempt could kill her" is definitely the main reason. She simply thinks her current form is not so bad to risk it. Question is, is it because she perceives the risk as too big, or is it because she's actually ok with being sexy girl? Now ... if Ellen's beam didn't stabilized her, TF gun would. Do you think anyone would object if Tedd zapped her with MV1? Did noone realized it's an option or should we take Vladia not asking about it as proof she's ok with being sexy girl? I will assume you did not intend that as an insult. It is quite possible to be both a human and a freak. And some of us are proud and happy to be both. I agree that looking as human has it's advantages, but feeling like human is overrated and often goes against the "happy" part. Of course, depends on the alternative: Vlad apparently had even worse alternative so feeling like human was definitely step up.
  23. Story Monday June 26, 2017

...worse than what? If you mean Edward and Noriko, they're divorced and on opposite sides of the world; if you mean Edward and Raven, their only interaction was a single, standoffish phone call about a business matter, on which Mr. Verres was surprised to hear from him and Adrian was of two minds about calling. The interaction was relatively civil. And they remained in same city. And Raven ended it with "I'm sorry I wasn't a better teacher". If he would slept with Noriko, THIS wouldn't be what he would say he's sorry for. He also said it was because she eventually placed greater importance on her career than her family. I meant considering he obviously regret his behaviour and tries to not repeat it. There isn't that big difference between marriage and committed relationship, and he DID assume Grace is in committed relationship (with ELLEN). Also, from meta perspective, I expect Raven will end up advising main eight. IF he would be sleeping with Noriko while she was still married with Edward, noone would forgive him. (Although, I'm little more open to speculation that Noriko FIRST break up with Edward and divorced him, THEN slept with Raven (without Edward knowing). Tedd's brother might be half-brother, then.) SHE didn't. The other woman did. The twin scenario would work if Mrs. Pompoms would be infertile and she got the baby from the other woman, not knowing it was from twins. ... why shouldn't they be blonde?
  24. Story Monday June 26, 2017

There are no signs she's senile. Crazy, yes, but not senile. I still didn't gave up the idea they are twins and Mrs. Pompoms falsified hospital records. Looks more likely Tedd is Adrian's son to me. Starting with the fact that if Edward found Noriko is cheating with Adrian, their relationship would be WORSE and Adrian would react more on Grace's saying he can do all things with her and less on her wanting to go on potentially dangerous expedition. Also, time of birth depends more on time of ovulation than time of conception, so even mere mortal wouldn't have any problem concepting both. Sure, them being half-sisters doesn't explain the identical phenotypes, but being half-sisters AND magic's flair for drama might. ... there is that indirect bolster that she is more likely to refer to something which is true than to something which isn't. Of course yes, unknown knowledge is very weak argument for anything. (Note: For record, personally I consider most likely that "they" refer to someone we DONT KNOW, and something happening long ago. Not everyone mentioned must be already known character. But, IF it's someone who know, Susan and Diane seem more likely than Tedd. I mean, I don't think THIS was supposed to be foreshadowing, based on Dan's comment under it)
  25. Story Monday June 26, 2017

Can? Probably. Will she think about it? Not sure. Hmmmm ... Grace doesn't generally seem so impulsive, she knows she shouldn't attack immortals ... but, yes, especially if Pandora will keep being so close there is some risk ... Yup, I don't think she wants to share with Edward either. Or with VOLTAIRE. But, again, she may not be thinking about it. ... alternatively, maybe she doesn't NEED to. Like, she KNOWS Grace won't come and Edward is not listening. (After all, both are probably sleeping. She only needs to check what phase of sleep they are in.) Very obvious foreshadowing Pandora wasn't (obviously) there for. I don't doubt that that means something, but since there's no reason to think Pandora saw it, there's no reason to think that's what her "of course" meant. Her "of course" was certainly referring to something WE weren't there for. I'm just saying that looking at foreshadowings, Susan seems more likely than Tedd. She's over four hundred years old. Her deduction abilities surpasses Sherlock Holmes. Compare with Jerry: he had NO IDEA about who come to visit him, he didn't even know Grace is dating Tedd. Yet he deduced Sarah has relationship issues by looking at her. Old Jerry wouldn't do the same mistake young Jerry did. He would know. Pandora's background check might've been extremely throughout and yet only taking few minutes. Actually, maybe Pandora just looked at Susan, recognized something and rejected it as impossible ... and her "of course" now refers to that. No, nothing we've seen through her eyes lends itself to that "of course" ... no matter who could it refer to.
