Just because wizards CAN learn other people spells doesn't mean they do. If the wands are standard for agents, they may not actually bother to learn those spells themselves even if they can.

I suspect it's Grace the player saying that she asked for that because she selected it in character creation or something. ... ninja'd. You mean something like the copyright on Mickey Mouse? (In typical cyberpunk dystopia, mega corporations don't even pretend governments have any relevance.)
  3. Story: Wednesday, Jun 29, 2016

I think when it was mentioned that Tedd was expected to be a powerful wizard, it was a given that it was Edward that was the wizard, Noriko being a wizard would be odd considering Nanase's magic and the fact that the griffins believed her to be royalty, Noriko would likely give off the same aura of royalty. Image of Noriko on the panel talking about wizards seem to suggest Noriko is wizard, actually. (But just suggest ; it can't be taken as confirmation) No: he might used wand. No: there is no reason to assume wizards have higher power, much less higher rank in DGB.

That seems more like it to me. Hmm, I wonder how theobromine affects squirrels? Or Uryuom or Lespukos, for that matter.... I'm pretty sure if it would affect Grace the way it affects dogs, it would already be mentioned. Also, she would likely not survive this page. ... why there wasn't class suit already? It was not stated in either direction, but based on flair for drama, it IS possible ...
  5. Story: Monday June 27, 2016

That was never official, Gene Roddenberry supposedly jokingly speculated that it could have been the Borg that originally found Voyager 6. But it was never canon. Well it's more official that the other theory. (Considering StarTrek 5 and 12 are official, I need my own headcanon anyway.)
  6. Story: Monday June 27, 2016

Considering that will be paradox, as Borg was who "upgraded" V'Ger in first place ... ... temporal cold war was supposed to make sense? After militarized use of time travel, it would be more surprising if there will be NO plot holes left.

Regarding Grace's pose: No, it wouldn't be "natural" because she may be using "magic flying". First, her flying is more like levitation. There are no wings involved. The pose only makes sense with wings on back providing (part of) lifting force. Second, she obviously have weight on her legs. They would be positioned differently if not. She seriously looks drunk. Or maybe tired but overenergized with caffeine. Although I'm not complaining, because she also looks cute like this. And sexy. Can you seriously imagine court case based on proving that overly verbose hard to read text was correctly understood? ... oh, wait, some laws are exactly like that and yet we are supposed to understand them. ... while not trying to spent some time outside city is negligent, transforming often enough is also effective.

I remember one tetris variant where little people were walking on the blocks and were crushed by new blocks ... Technically, Claire is clone form from TF gun. Anyone can be that. Ellen was at least once. And the form may be based on some existing person like the Gillian Anderson one was.

Technically, you can do that with batteries for (at least older) cars as well. I never see anyone doing it or hear talking about doing it. Normally, you buy it whole. But yes, I was thinking about dry cell batteries. Wet cell battery resembles more the reactor, although you generally can't "recharge" wet cell battery just by changing the fluid. (Hmmm ... actually, you CAN get partial charge by that, but only once.)
  10. Story: Monday June 27, 2016

By definition, anyone having any own magic is at least dreaming. They point to magic in general, but not specifically to awakening. And I don't think it was only occasion she wore it on. She may not wear it on "ordinary" day, but maybe when visiting con? Obviously, not her first one, but she might go to another later. Who's creating snowflakes and makes sure they are so different? Who's shaping clouds? Unless you blame Zeus or someone like that, you have no reason to assume someone needs to write the spellbooks. While personifications of natural forces used to be normal, currently the belief that some named entity with human emotions is causing them is very minority belief. That would make her age unnecessary. The idea is that the time from reset is only thing she differs from other immortals in. ... on the other hand, that doesn't mean the emissary in Grace's dreams is not Pandora. It's just emissary - and self-appointment one, not embodiment of magic. And Pandora having multiple personalities wouldn't be surprise.
  11. Story: Monday June 27, 2016

He had reason to test Justing after the battle with fire monster. But maybe he forgot because he was distracted by Arthur Arthur's not covering truth.
  12. NP Friday June 17, 2016

If it would be actually reactor, then yes. If it would be more like battery, then you can't really produce it without fuel and add fuel later. Note that by definition, anything usable as energy source MUST be volatile: stable substances don't produce energy because they remain in state they are in, volatile substances produce energy by changing into more stable substances. Or, alternatively, for example water can produce energy by flowing down, which is more stable position for it: water in height is volatile. Most stable power sources in use are actually radioactive, as weakly radioactive materials can produce constant small amount of energy for years, which is useful for space probes. Normal (chemical) batteries are not stable enough to produce energy for years.

Or he actually plans to NOT answer that based on the "only explain, don't dump new information" strategy for Q&A. ... but seriously, I'm already finding weird than JUSTIN was not measured. What excuse will Edward have to not test Greg with that wand? Also, how could this NOT be mentioned when he was explaining Greg what his teaching actually does? To conclude, I find hard to believe Greg doesn't know. I'm not sure if it was angst, but that description makes much more sense to me if he actually awakened while watching that anime. This is actually first page which speaks about them in way close to classification. There is nothing "minor" about Tedd's watches spells. Spells in Tedd's watches are normal full-power spells as you can get in any other wand, except most wands have at least SOME power source.

... which was exactly the reason why we already expected it will be happening at such time ... but good to have it confirmed ...
  15. Story: Friday June 24, 2016

Not sure what you talk about. Sure, avatar spells with persistence are rare, but she could make just as big impression on mundane folks with much easier faerie spell. And she didn't had guardian form when she had those epic fails at secrecy.
  16. Story: Friday June 24, 2016

True, but I was thinking less of Nanase's actions than of the reaction. A comic shop is a bit more public, since unlike a school, literally anyone might have business there; indeed, it's right there the dam would ultimately crack. Anyone MIGHT but it seems just regulars actually WERE there. But most importantly, happening Even THEN there was no ill intention and noone was freaking out. People in Moperville are apparently that much used to magic that they don't realize how weird it actually is. Local newspaper is so full of it it is sold as tabloid in neighboring towns. Looking at it from this angle, even if Pandora wouldn't appeared on live news, the technological progress alone - the mentioned smartphones - would make magic public knowledge sooner or later, because there is nothing special on Nanase. There must be dozens of other young magic user who don't really understand what "keeping magic secret" means.
  17. Story: Wednesday, June 22, 2016

Well, to misquote Benjamin Franklin in even more remote context than usual, “Those who give up liberty for security deserve neither.” (Actually, I would assume being gender fluid WITHOUT the TF gun option can be stressing. And my understanding of bisexuality may be incorrect too. Still, trying to force someone to conform is bad, even more so if it's someone else.)
  18. Story: Wednesday, June 22, 2016

Technically, we don't know enough about the TF gun to rule that out. It DOES seem to suppress the gender dysphoria somehow ... so it IS possible overuse can make person gender fluid. And remember what happened to Elliot. Or Ellen. Sure, we can speculate that their gender identity wasn't that strong to start with, but we can't rule out that if this would happen to someone with strong gender identity the gun would still be able to compensate. While I think that Tedd was gender fluid even before the gun, I don't think I can prove it. The main issue here is that being gender fluid (or bisexual) is not that bad. It gives new option, it doesn't take one out.
  19. Story: Friday June 24, 2016

It's canon that Nanase wasn't that careful with magic back then. I think Dan said somewhere that some of those standalone comics might be canon. Non-Gratuitous Nudity, meanwhile, was never called canon despite making complete sense to be. I can totally see Susan mentioning she would like to try playing some game on console and Susan's mother, after finding out there are multiple options, buying everything. Would match how Susan ended in France.
  20. Story: Wednesday, June 22, 2016

Agree, especially because unlike linked strip, I'm not sure there will be any Moperville left afterwards.
  21. Story: Friday June 24, 2016

What "set"? Are you sure it was whole story line? I mean, the three comics starting here are part of "Standalone Jan 2010" and not all of it is canon. The list matches list on wiki, so no surprise.
  22. NP, Friday June 24, 2016

Crazy Taxi had customers tip you based on how many idiotic life threatening stunts you could pull off on the way to their destination. Video game logic is in no way based upon the real world. "Holy carp! You just jumped off the roof of a car park, flew 50 yards through the air, and landed on top of another building! It's a miracle you didn't get us both killed! Here's an extra $50, my good man!" The idea that customers will LIKE pizzas which experienced several g's from various directions through all those parkour manoeuvres doesn't seem based in real world either. Wouldn't mobile game be more likely side scroller?
  23. Story: Wednesday, June 22, 2016

I agree so very much with that. I don't think Edward understands how much he has hurt his son, but Tedd no longer feels safe around his father and that is a terrible situation for both of them. Not speaking about how terrible that can be for the WORLD. Case in point, Lord Tedd. They are not nearly disturbed enough. That would be smart reaction, yes ... but I don't think Sarah is THAT much inclined. If for nothing else then for meta purposes - it will be more dramatic if they DON'T tell everything to Edward. First, I'm not sure more time spent on planing will help. Second, I don't think anything could've been removed from those storylines without it missing ... and I'm little afraid what will we miss if Dan overdoes the editing. Hoo boy. I think it will take a LOT of desperation before Mr. Verres will look up Mr. Raven and ask him for help with his son. ... why do I feel this doesn't mean it won't happen?
  24. Story: Wednesday, June 22, 2016

He has no more reason to be there now than he already had, true. Nevertheless, he MIGHT decide to get tested. Of course when I mentioned Sarah I though her telling Tedd or Grace, not Edward. While the idea of having Ashley there because unlike Elliot she actually remembers the names is nice, I'm sure the names are recorded on several Youtube videos. ... that's assuming he doesn't already know. It would be good example of how carefully he observes the main eight: Ashley was very random encounter, on the other hand it wasn't like they were keeping it secret.
  25. NP: Wednesday, June 22, 2016

Quadrachromatic was already mentioned in comics, actually. ... ok, so no completely colorblind.
