She didn't told about it to anyone YET ... Well, Pandora is more dangerous than bear. Her Challenge rating is more than 5.
  2. Story Friday May 13, 2016

people who have Names To Run Away From Very Fast rarely are. "Run?" I suppose you mean it metaphorically, because running don't get you far enough fast enough. ... actually, you may need rocket to get far enough, considering what Pandora plans.

Nonsense. Just add a slot labeled 'Insert Cow Here' to whatever device you are using and you are good to go. Surprisingly, I haven't heard about single device you would insert cow and flour in and it will produce hamburgers and shoes. Apparently, automation didn't get that far yet.
  4. Story Friday May 13, 2016

Cheerleadra MIGHT count as magical, Guardian forms even more likely so, but I would leave all vampire killing for the ones who are best equipped for that: Susan and Diane. Ellen specially would be pretty badly equipped for it, unless she repeats the Guardian copy. He was actually OFFERING help with the giant boar. And it was specific danger. He don't really have anything specific to say about what his mother plans to do, and most PRACTICAL informations he knows DGB already knows ... he may assume that there is no need for another non-specific warning after Pandora appeared ON LIVE TV. Hmmm ... actually, only weird thing is that he didn't tried to tell him about marking people without consent despite not knowing Grace told Edward. I mean, I ASSUME that she told Edward and give him the pendant, but she wasn't specific when talking to Noah and Raven obviously didn't know she lives with Tedd before, so ... ... but after he realized she meant Edward when talking about "someone who might be able ...", he might easily assume there is nothing he can add to it. Well, it likely wouldn't. I predict it will end with him simply dead. I mean, Adrian will kill him quickly. Pandora MIGHT have other idea if he would actually DEFEAT Adrian of course ...

It was actually the block himself who said it to bartender. Otherwise, yes.

In this comic http://www.egscomics.com/index.php?id=2174 it's mentioned that ancients/immortals have different agreements on each side of the world. Agreements can be changed, and in that situation I think it likely that it would be. It's concluded then: Uryuoms should be very happy they didn't tried the war option.
  7. Story Friday May 13, 2016

Yes, it's definitely disturbing. Well, it totally happened too late, but better late than never I think it's Google, then official web of the school. Hmmmm .... no Adrian Raven, but there is Arthur there - although not Arthur but Arthur Albright ... Think in terms of what makes for a good comic. "Your mother was sighted in this forest over here. {Recap.} Do you have any idea what she's up to?" "I haven't talked to her in over 80 years. Sorry, no, I can't help you. If she does show up I'll let you know, but don't hold your breath." ... no, even if it's true, it wouldn't show up in the comic. Actually, I think that this information would be shown ... but note that Pandora didn't exactly introduced herself, did she? So, even if they would know Adrian's mother name is Pandora (which might not even be same name she used 14 years ago), they wouldn't know it's the creepy girl. (I also wanted to note that neither Edward nor Arthur talked with Raven for years, but that doesn't completely rule out someone else talking with him.)

you forgot one: Fear. Ok. You don't get rid of fear either. Immortals can totally keep scaring Uryuom forever, even if without humans they wouldn't have anyone to empower and guide. Also, maybe if all immortals agree, the rules can be changed.

The original case couldn't be killing the Celebrity Guest Star ... and there was that map ... was the Falcon originally hidden under the X but missing? Wait, what was in the package for mayor? The Falcon again? ... I think there isn't enough information.

That's what I'm expecting. Laser scan your feet, then 3D print a pair of shoes custom made, complete with adjustments for any medical/orthopedic issues. Could be five years, could be twenty, but it should be within my lifetime. :-) The technology could be there literally tomorrow. It's only question of price. Also, it will not be LEATHER shoes, of course.

Dex said Saturday, he was already attacking on Tuesday. I suspect it can be done even faster. What, you expected Pandora would play it fair? Also, war has PLENTY of drama. Angst-induced awakenings would be common. I'm not sure if those are the most dangerous spells ... summoning might be worse, as shown by Dex. Also consider the psychological effect of monster you fire several rockets into and it just shrugs it off. The most important part, however, is that Uryuom have NO WAY to prevent humans to use magic unless they KILL them all. No matter the technological advantage, Uryuom can be disarmed and it's weapon stolen and used against them. You can't disarm magic user. (Which brings me to the motivation Uryuom would have to conquer Earth. It can't be resources - there are plenty of resources on uninhabited planets. It's either ego - proving superiority and such - or slaves. By eradicating humans you reach neither.)

that would seem to imply it's not reacting to the change so much as the stacking of two different spells together. or in the case of the TF gun, Spell-Like Abilities. The term is enchantment. Both transformation spells and TF gun works on humans by putting enchantment on them. Not on uryuoms, though. And no, it was not stacking, there was only ONE enchantment on Nanase. Otherwise, yes. Flaws which include being a bit worried about whether or not Elliot would like what she wears, being awkwardly adorable when getting tongue-tied, and not listening to her date when he says she should go somewhere safe and instead does something badass that saves him. Yep, she's evil. Flaws don't make you evil. They makes you multidimensional. Character without flaws is flat, and I mean it in sense which is even worse than lacking boobs for woman.
  13. Story Friday May 13, 2016

Well, might not be safe to show her where Tedd lives. I think THIS is her attempt to apologize. But in this case it's the though that counts. I think they are still IN FRONT OF Charlotte's apartment but don't care. ... hmmm, likely yes. I don't think Raven is that bad in hiding what he is. More like he don't really care, because authorities (DGB) know anyway.
  14. NP: Monday, May 9, 2016

Weeeell, Uryuoms should be very happy Earth Immortals have rules. And even in limits of empower and guide, how long do you think Uryuom would last if they attacked Earth and say Pandora decided she doesn't want them in same universe as Adrian? Could give a whole new meaning to the term "guided missile".

The wiki disagree in the formulae ; it says male shoe size is 3x last length in inches - 24 ; by chance, if the last length in inches is 12, the result is still 12. Notable fact is that formulae for female shoe size is different. On the other hand, the difference between length of my foot and length of my shoes was bigger than 3cm. I suspect that you are not SUPPOSED to buy shoes with last length matching your foot length - the foot have different shape, is "less pointy". (On the metaphorical third hand, the shoes I was measuring were hiking boots and it was outside length. Also, I was using 16cm long ruler, so I might get different results using proper instruments I'm too lazy to find.)
  16. Story comic for Weds, May 11, 2016

True ; on the other hand, we can assume there WERE some cases, just not shown explicitly. She seems to like using fairy doll both to contact people and to just being fairy. I'm sure she is enjoying flying like this regularly, maybe even every week. I'm sure that in general, characters are using more spells than we are shown and experiments more, because otherwise their level of curiosity would be dangerously low. It's just that when the results of experiments are not important we are not shown. Well ... if there will be some misconception, it WILL be important. Either the hair change for the first one was bigger, or, as I already said (although it was edit so maybe you missed it), ALL changes of hair she can make with her spell counts as ONE change. Yup. Although the third one doesn't, so it's still possible that if it existed, she wouldn't be able to make new one because her "updated" look is basically using her hair spell. OF COURSE contacting Cheerleadra was mixing magic. That doesn't mean it's not intended function of the spell, just that spell interaction are (or may be) outside of scope of spellbook because the possibilities are infinite.
  17. NP: Wednesday, May 11, 2016

You mean 30.48cm? ... (Tried to measure foot. Then measure shoe. Finding out the difference. WTF?) ... anyway, my shoes are bigger but not by much. EDIT: Wiki disagree.
  18. Story comic for Weds, May 11, 2016

Remember that she READS her spellbook. But it's true that you can blame anything on her not understanding the spell. With the way the spell is written, it IS possible ... It's just that I made theory which ALSO explains why she wasn't able to create fourth doll linked to Ellen which wouldn't require Nanase after Sister II rereading her spellbook and realizing she understood it incorrectly. Which might even be important enough to be shown - or mentioned when she had another problem with the spell. I just can't imagine where should she get the assumption that if the doll is already created she will inhabit existing doll elsewhere than the spellbook. And, note that it worked every time when she was NOT transformed.

If 12 is a woman's shoe size, she's got big feet. I'm size 13 shoe size and have a tough time finding shoes that size for me. Well, I have no idea what size 12 is. I just googled and first replies were about woman shoes. Maybe first replies are woman shoes no matter the size :-) ... anyway, my size is 45 or 46, but that's obviously different scale.
  20. Story comic for Weds, May 11, 2016

The two other dolls (the first one she made and the male one from Grace's birthday) were at home, so Nanase would have had no issue creating a new one near Ellen, but even after changing hairstyles she ended up back at the one she made just outside the classroom because it was the closest one to Ellen. Nanase was able to create several dolls for Susan at Tedd's because they were full transformations, not simple hairstyle changes. It doesn't matter they were at home. The spell is not supposed to create new doll just because the person left the first one somewhere. That's why she was telling people to keep the dolls out. She even TOLD US that she will end up at Ellen's house if she wouldn't transform. Although it's possible that other, natural changes happening since she created the doll helped as well. EDIT: Or different idea: Maybe the hair change count as the same change no matter what she does because it's same spell. So she was able to make three dolls: normal one, with male transformation and with hair changed by her spell.

Hmmmm ... the Celebrity Guess Star is unlikely to use lipstick, and isn't 12 WOMAN shoe size? Is the killer the woman from beginning?
  22. NP: Monday, May 9, 2016

Making universally effective NON-LETHAL weapon is VERY HARD. And even for lethal weapons, there IS big advantage in weapon which kills people but DOESN'T damage structures - and, again, this is not so easy. Of course, for general "kill everything don't care about property damage" purpose, explosives are simpler.
  23. Story comic for Weds, May 11, 2016

The two she made were IN ADDITION to doll Ellen already had. TWO dolls actually. So the change of hair worked at least once. Me to, but people freak out when I get more specific. In this case, however, TF gun backup might be enough. Agree, if she would be pretending something consciously, she would stop if we are only one looking. But also agree that if she does it subconsciously ... ... yes, it definitely worked that way. Hmmm ... what other secrets could she picked up? This could be interesting ... She DID dated him and it's possible she was dating him longer than her average. His sex was really only thing which she didn't liked. ... yup. Consciously, she likely realises that the reason she had so much trouble dating was that she didn't admitted she's lesbian, but subconsciously, she FEELS this was too easy.

You can come up with geometries where the ratio of circumference to diameter of a circle isn't equal to pi, but that doesn't mean that pi is different, only that the circle is different. The difference in the circle will have other consequences precisely because pi is still the same. (And, in fact, you can't have that ratio be a constant other than pi, because non-Euclidean geometries are still locally Euclidean, meaning that as the circle gets smaller the ratio approaches pi.) It depends on what you take as definition of π. It's true that the equation eiπ = -1 would never work with anything rational. You can develop the math behind this without inputing anything from real world, so if you define π based on that geometry wouldn't matter. But good point about the locally Euclidean stuff: constructing geometry which would make circles with constant ratio different than π no matter size of circle will likely be impossible - or at least the results will be totally unusable in some other way. Both elliptic and hyperbolic geometry definitely wouldn't qualify. You don't need tolerance of manufacturing being lower than 0.0000000000007%. But in the mathematics of design? I was actually reacting to ... well, if the phases are off, that means interference. With the speed modern CPUs are operating, length of signal paths is actually close to how fast signal is required to get from one end to other by speed of light. I must admit I don't actually know enough about it to know how much is π needed there, but it appears very easily around signal processing, and if it's somewhere on start of computation, the difference in result might be multiplied. By the way, quantum physic? SSD contain flash NAND, which uses tunnel injection for writing. Specifically, Fowler–Nordheim tunneling ... totally impossible under classical mechanics. Also, there is π several times on the page talking about it (although I'm not sure if those needs to be computed when constructing the SSD).

Also, he was speaking about saving the world, while Pandora wanted to destroy it - while not literally, it could still be taken as hint it's someone else. Raven might be mistaken when he though Pandora is behind this. Of course, it would mean that Dan deliberately tried to confuse us by talking about Pandora under comic where Raven explained motivation of immortal who was behind this, but note that Dan didn't said DIRECTLY it was Pandora, so ... yes, very interesting idea.
