But she isn't the one, the only one, nor is she the God of Kingdom come, so she gets no Prize. *sigh* No, she gets no Prize. *massive guitar riff*

I knew it. The destruction of the Death Star was actually faked.

Well, he is closely related to Nanase and the griffins were convinced she was royalty, so Tedd might indeed have inside him the blood of kings.

I know. I was just, as usual, being deliberately obtuse. Actually I am pretty certain that a sufficiently determined nerd could probably already do that on existing smartphones.
-
They already have those. I could watch The Force Awakens on my iPhone if I wanted to. ... ...what?
-
It tried, but then John McEnroe quit playing tennis.

That one ought to be nominated for a Darwin Award.

Changing Medications (Level of Trust Required) (Content TV-MA)
The Old Hack replied to ProfessorTomoe's topic in Off Topic Discussion
The Moderator: As a matter of principle, all medical pictures should be posted under spoiler filter. This is because I am aware of people to whom even the milder kind of such pictures are at least somewhat upsetting. I would rather err on the side of caution in this case. Thank you. -
Good Lord, yeah.

It was probably your dishwasher. It's been too quiet lately. I'm sure it is up to something.

I finally found something my smartphone couldn't do and for some reason I find that ridiculously amusing. I was walking home this evening and met a guy who asked me for a light for his cigarette. I reflexively reached for my iPhone, then thought 'duh' and told him sorry but I couldn't help him. Of course, now I have put this on the Internet, I am not sure I have the nerve to bet that there won't be a lighter in some coming generation of smartphone. I doubt it, admittedly. But I wouldn't like to guarantee it.

I am very, very sorry. Two days ago, my wife's best friend from college passed away from cancer. She is devastated and is still processing the whole thing. I know precisely how hard this is from my own loss last year. And the glory of the world is less than what it was...

Also, as per the movie Iron Sky, the iPhone is the preferred brand of supercomputer that space nazis use to power their giant spaceship.

Also, not everyone will necessarily get PTSD. As always when it comes to nervous system and brain disorders, there is much we do not understand and it is not necessarily predictable precisely whom will be affected by what. But yes, Susan's exposure to stress would have been far more intense due to her actually striking the killing blow.

...just not for long, for long...

That depends, what if the Uryuom turned out to be the aliens from Scientology?

Which one is that? Did people start to keep ankylosauri as pets? -
Drasvin has a point. If a zombie apocalypse was going on, I'd point them straight at my Krypton tacos.

Don't worry. He'll get around to you. You are just a bit down the list because of 1) being immortal and 2) your rampages tend to be sedentary and rather quiet. See, Edward has to put out the more problematic fires first and since you are not rocking the boat nor likely to just up and die at any moment, he is putting you off until he has a bit more room in his schedule.
-
I can see the problem. Hey, maybe that was the reason IBM told the inventors of the photocopying machine that they could see no use for such a device in any office. They still had their hearts set on stone tablets and even Xerox's finest still can't mass replicate these.
-
Bah. I think it is a Heckuva important thing.
-
I thought you could just summon some of your priest-mathematicians. Or do they insist on writing their reports in Hieratic?

The problem is, if you say [redacted] it, you may shock our younger forumgoers. -
