Is it possible that Tedd has simply tinkered with the frames on the old glasses? Even though Tedd no longer feels the need to wear those glasses every day, I seem to recall a comment suggesting Tedd felt more comfortable doing the (Mad) Science stuff with the glasses. So while the frames might look a little different, they could still be the same glasses. Although I may be crazy, I'm not necessarily wrong, And even if I'm right, I'm not necessarily sane.

What surprises me is how long it has taken Tedd to use his Seer abilities on his friends. We know this is not simultaneous with the party story, so why has Tedd waited? Most of Tedds friends have nifty magical abilities that of us fans want "explained" with a dose of techno-babble.

In fact, it turned out to be such a mess that the later American Space Shuttles, the Soviet MIR, and the International Space Station would not incorporate anything similar. Even though the system was not successful, academic notes were kept. If Elliot's interest in this matter was purely intellectual, the NASA records are available.

Security for the unpronounceable facility was hinged on the idea that no reasonable person would believe that such a facility was real. The minimal security it did employ was largely for appearance. It is quite possible that the guard who caught Tedd and Elliot (way back when) had no idea just how powerful the junk in that building actually was. As far as he was concerned, he caught two teens pulling a stunt by breaking in to a "secret" government warehouse. Arthur knew of many things in that facility that, if activated, could became hostile and break out before he could get there with heavily armed agents. The low level security officers watching the front desk would not be able to stop them. In that case, you would not have an escaped mystical menace, you would have an escaped mystical menace that had just killed the night watchman.
