Regarding the last part of the commentary, Ashley's situation actually reminds me of the average Doctor Who companion (at least during the classic series; I'm not very familiar with the modern series).

So, this is the first showing of Lord Tedd in several years.  Like 15 or so.  He was mentioned once or twice, but no image.  Plus "Who is Ellen" is canon (I know that The Dan said it was, but this confirms it.).  Next question, where are they?  If they are in public why is Kevin out and floating around?

As for location?  If they are using magic openly without authority figures or enemies present, it is likely Tedd's basement.  Tedd's campus lab introduction should be a significant story event.

. . .  and Tedd is training Ashley, so his basement would be the logical location. It seems odd that Elliot is there if the purpose is to train her, though. Maybe he's her ride?

Susan, Justin & Diane stil need a pretext to be at Jeremy's house.  Ashley, Ellen, Elliot, Grace, Nanase, Sarah & Tedd have reasons for being there at almost any time.

Susan could drop by to see Tedd at any time and Tedd would be glad to see her.  I suspect that Justin might also come by in the context of Magikal Gathering cards.  Not sure why Diane would come by and I'm not sure how Tedd would respond to her.  If she was with Nanase, OK, but by herself?  Not sure how that would work.

Well, in context, the main cast hasn't seen that version of Lord Tedd.
