The only significant aspect of vampire hunters is that they can summon weapons that are effective against aberrations, that doesn't mean that non-vampire hunters can't kill aberrations, they'd just have more difficulty. Although we can note that Tara and Andrea were very capable of killing aberrations as well and they didn't claim to be vampire hunters. Noriko and her family in general are classed as monster hunters which likely include aberrations but their affinities might not have been specifically geared toward killing aberrations, could have been something else and then branched to include spells for killing aberrations later. Abraham could summon a sword and shield, he probably had to learn how to do that in order to fight the monsters created by the diamond, no telling if one of those monsters was an aberration but I'm willing to bet his summoned sword can still be effective against them.
  2. Story, Friday November 17, 2017

The thing was, it wasn't a huge fire, and we were able to flag someone down that happened to have a fire extinguisher on hand to put it out, the damage wasn't enough to get insurance involved, but it still would have cost us a fair but to get it back on the road. Friends told us we should have just let it burn.
  3. Story, Friday November 17, 2017

We had a '93 Aerostar Sport that was pretty much a tank, one day I had to drive my dad in to work cus I needed the van to get to work as well, and it started freezing rain on the way home, by the time I was getting back into town I was driving 20kph and still ended up sliding past my driveway, there was an S10 behind me that didn't realize I was trying to turn and slammed into me. One the shock wore off, I got out to assess the damage. The front grill of the S10 was shattered, but there wasn't so much of a scratch on the back of the van. Mind you the reason we had to get rid of the van was because the engine caught fire while driving to work another time, but that was mainly due to poor maintenance.
  4. What Are You Watching?

Not really, game's over and Acadia managed to get a 3 point field goal, but Western won 81-3
  5. Story, Friday November 17, 2017

Sirleck's scared of Pandora yes, and while any one of the main 8 and friends/family might not be a threat alone, any combination of them or all of them could be a danger to Sirleck, Edward's probably got a number of tricks up his sleeves for dealing with aberrations or knows an agent who does, and who knows, maybe Susan has, or can gain, a spell that can force a bodysnatcher off their host and make them vulnerable to conventional attacks. As for Ashley, she might have her drivers license, but would mostly be relying on her parents car if she really had to drive somewhere. Of the main 8, all have drivers licenses except maybe Grace (though she may have a learners permit by now) but only Elliot (and by proxy Ellen), Justin and Susan regularly drive. Though depending on how things go, we may have some others characters arrive on the scene (Nanase maybe, or Tedd, Edward, etc) and if Elliot and Ellen are incapacitated, then they would instead drive.
  6. What Are You Watching?

UTECK Bowl, Western Mustangs vs Acadia Athletics. 3rd quarter and Western leads 64-0. It's a massacre.
  7. Story, Friday November 17, 2017

I don't think Dan would show us spells that Ellen would have gained after Sister 3, so I would assume that everything we saw in the demo NP is what she has at time Sister 3 is taking place. Of course that still doesn't prevent Dan from revealing a new spell and saying that she just got it, or got it at some point since the last time her and Nanase looked at her spellbook, Ellen did dodge the question of "when was the last time you checked your spellbook?" pretty quick, so it could have been several days to a couple weeks maybe.
  8. NP Friday November 17, 2017

A Kangaroo form would probably work.
  9. NP Friday November 17, 2017

Of course, there are the combo cards to think about as well. It's probably safe to assume that Susan could buy a 3 space by combining a clothing+physical card with another clothing card and the game would apply the physical trait and randomly pick the clothing.
  10. NP Friday November 17, 2017

I think in terms of this game, "Ditzy" and "Busty" are both physical traits and so can't both be applied to one player. If I read Susan's explanation correctly, "Ditzy" would allow her to be able to, for example, buy a 3 space with 3 animal cards but only one of those cards, chosen at random by the game I imagine, would actually transform her. This would also replace the squirrel form she current has. Obvious advantage for this trait would be if she had a clothing card, and then drew 2 physical cards at the end of her turn, then on her next turn landed on a 3 space, she could still use those three cards, but one of the physical cards would randomly be chosen and replace "Ditzy". Or if she rolled doubles, she could transform Rhoda and one of the physical cards would replace Rhoda's "Busty".
  11. Story, Friday November 17, 2017

I think it's mainly the chances of being a Wizards comes from whether both parents are also Wizards (as was the case with Edward and Noriko believing that Tedd should have been one). Mind you, the ability to use magic supposedly comes from having Immortal ancestry, so even if Mr and Mrs Dunkel never awakened or used magic, the trait could still have passed on from one of them to Elliot who then developed it with ASMA training. It's one of those things that if we assume that known magic users have to have parents that are magic users, we'd have to assume that Sarah's family (there's already been speculation about Carol, but we'd have to include Mr and Mrs Brown too) and Justin's parents, and Rhoda's (she's an S rank talent, that must mean her parents are super powerful too!) and Catalina's (the whole family comes from a line of werecats!) And then there's going back further generations. which sure, as you go back, there probably was ancestors who were actual wizards or mages, but it would also make sense that recent generations might not have tapped into those talents and it's the current gen that's been getting caught up in things. Like just because Susan's Dad is quite possibly Adrian's son or grandson, that doesn't mean he's a wizard or mage, he's certainly got the potential, but likely doesn't know it. Though speculation time: Before Jerry2.0 was interrupted by Pandora, he mentioned going to spy on Susan's Dad to find out of he was aware of Diane, does that mean that Mr Pompoms is still in Moperville? I don't think Jerry would have considered that if he didn't know where to find him.
  12. Story, Friday November 17, 2017

Confirms that's Sirleck taps into hosts memories, including muscle memory, in order to keep suspicion down. Figured as much since that's what appeared to be the case with Francine. I'm pretty sure Sirleck is talking about ELLEN's family. Of course, unless he means Elliot, this still leaves the question of how powerful they are. We know her FRIENDS are powerful, starting with Tedd and Nanase, yet he still mentions Dunkels? Does this have something to do with how calmly they took Elliot being girl and later split into two? He could have just meant Elliot when referring to Ellen's family, though we don't know for sure if all Mr Dunkel can do is summon charts... Technically she was sent somewhere specific, to Charlotte and Rhea's apartment expecting expecting Ellen to be there as well so they could investigate the "Case of the College Creeper". I would imagine Nanase's figured out that something's wrong by now since Ellen hasn't shown up, she'll go to the Dunkel's first and find no one home, but she won't have a clue where they'd be.
  13. Story, Wednesday November 15, 2017

Had to edit my last post, don't know why it had "in the city" at the end of it, don't want anyone to think I was talking about city speeds there, the max in city limits is between 30 and 60kph, it varies depending on the zone (school, hospital, residential, etc). Cars of course, snowmobiles aren't allowed on roads in Ontario and the max speed limit is 50kph on trails.
  14. Story, Wednesday November 15, 2017

80mph is about 130kph. In Canada the max speed limit varies by province, in BC it's 120 on expressways, and while there are groups trying to get the max speed limit in Ontario increased to 130kph, it's currently 100.
  15. Story, Wednesday November 15, 2017

Nioi told Ellen what happened at the end of Ellen's second life dreams.
  16. Story, Wednesday November 15, 2017

I can tell you if that car is going 80mph, it's most certainly going to get the attention of police, that's at least 20 over the speed limit, probably 40-50 over if they're still in the city. If you meant 80kph though that's more reasonable at least for highway speeds, still 20-30 over if in the city though.
  17. Story, Wednesday November 15, 2017

But this is basic mind control we're talking about, Ashley may be calm in a way that's like "you don't feel the need to run from us". Sure she can ask questions about what's going on, but if she doesn't feel the need to stop them, then she's not going to try.
  18. Story, Wednesday November 15, 2017

I totally support this idea for more fun. Not sure if Dan has enough panel space for it, though. I dunno, I would expect that the calm spell prevents her from formulating a plan of any kind.
  19. Story, Wednesday November 15, 2017

Also keep in mind that Plan CM was set in motion before Voltaire vowed, the loophole could be that that vow only applies to future attempts, where Plan CM would be a past attempt that's still in progress and Voltaire doesn't feel duty bound to stop it.
  20. Story, Wednesday November 15, 2017

Sirleck could be using Ellen's knowledge of driving. Magus' method of possession likely doesn't have that perk of having access to a host's memories, I would guess that if he did, he'd be able to tell if Elliot would remember this experience.
  21. Story Sunday November 12, 2017

Who knows how many times he's had to come out of his "stoned" state to fight whatever was created by the Diamond, it did seem pretty clear that Ellen was the first that didn't fit the bill of monster. He may not have figured out a way to counter the diamond, but he's certainly powerful enough to go toe to toe with an Elf. The change in the writing on his statue should be seen as foreshadowing what will happen the next time he appears.
  22. Last Post Wins

    Now you're just horsing around.
  23. Story Sunday November 12, 2017

I think Abraham will take more care in determining if the diamond had created a monster next time, when he first learned about the nature of Ellen, he rhymed off a number of reasons for her to exist and even stated that she wasn't a monster, it was the fact that he couldn't differentiate his promise to protect people and killing the monsters created by the diamond that he was determined that she still had to die. After Nanase made it clear to him what the difference was, he'll want to make certain he doesn't make the same mistakes. Also, in the case of Sirleck, I wonder if Abraham would be able to determine if a person's actions aren't their own, and be able to remove Sirleck from either Ellen or Magus, without harming either of them?
  24. NP Wed Nov 15 (Tues Nov 14?) 2017

Aaaand I just noticed I had put an apostrophe in "always", fixed it, but a bit too late lol.
  25. NP Wed Nov 15 (Tues Nov 14?) 2017

We know Susan's always been competitive. At least she doesn't have to arm wrestle Nanase this time.
