I dunno, but I'm thinking the fact that Ellen experienced it and then brought it to our Tedd certainly made a difference, maybe not initially but it did lay the groundwork for the later discussion between Ellen and Tedd. Dunno if it was an Immortal's intention or strictly General Shade Tail's doing, I think the results would be similar though. I've said before that of all the universes we've seen a Tedd in, only Lord Tedd's didn't seem to have Elliot or Ellen in it (or the other Main Eight crew for that matter) So my best theory is Elliot/Ellen being killed traumatized Lord Tedd and General Shade Tail took advantage of it. Voltaire was attempting to kill our Elliot because it would traumatize Tedd, learning about magic possibly changing and not being able to fulfill his dream of making magic public also had a negative effect that Voltaire was pleased with, though I imagine he's again cursing Elliot for giving Tedd that pep talk. Plan CM is looking to be an attempt at a shotgun effect that's expected to push someone over the edge both Elliot and Adrian are in danger, Elliot being more collateral due to the attack of Adrian being meant to allow Magus a clear shot and getting Ellen to zap Elliot, but if something were to happen to Adrian, and enraged Pandora might use Tedd as a weapon.

Anyone else thinking it's highly unlikely that Tedd's going to be told what he is now? The first purpose of a seer doesn't seem to have any bearing on how Tedd will develop later. The second purpose seems like a "it's something you need to realize yourself, you'll fight it if someone else tells you" situation with the twist that if Tedd's not in the right mindset should Pandora tell him, he might end up abusing his abilities or being manipulated into using them. I think Voltaire wants Tedd to be of an unstable mindset because whatever the second purpose of a seer is, is likely something that Voltaire wants to exploit. Voltaire has to have been watching for quite some time now, more than a year, he's got to have heard the Main Eight talk about Lord Tedd and have thought to himself "An alternate version of Tedd that apparently strikes fear whenever his name is spoke. That sounds like fun" and so he wants to get Tedd into an unstable mindset because it would make him easier to manipulate. Voltaire knows Tedd is a seer, exactly how much does he know? Has Voltaire visited Heka as well or do we have an Immortal that's done better memoir keeping than the rest of them?

I don't think Spinnerette will tell. Note that Mecha Maid consume only LOOKS as maid costume and is actually armor. GR4-C3's costume is likely normal fabric and offers zero protection. Of course, hard to say how much protection will the catsuit offer ... or if android NEEDS armor. I think it's a hybrid of both actually, I can't fully remember the details and don't feel like sifting through the archives at the moment, but I think Mecha Maid's suit is a full body suit that allows her to overcome her ALS and have mobility, pretty sure it also has reinforcement in vital areas as well, like an exo-suit. The maid frills are just for the super hero persona.

I should have been more specific, I didn't mean he'd be aware of every little detail of people's lives, but at the very least aware of events of a magical nature, such as Pandora causing the energy clog and maybe even when a mortal with abilities such as Tedd's are born. It's a stretch, but he might even be aware of the imminent vampire attacks on Pandora's son, and we'll see her rushing to his aid.

Having coffee (my vanilla/hazelnut/french dark roast blend) right now, but when I had finished my EI information seminar (which only ended up taking an hour instead of an hour and a half), I decided to stop by the mall on my way home and have some food court Manchu Wok. For $13.50 (canadian) I had a plate of noodles, stir fried vegetables and honey garlic chicken. It was sooooo good, the chicken had a light, crispy tempura coating and it wasn't completely drenched in honey garlic sauce, and the veggies weren't overcooked although they could have cut the broccoli a little smaller because I only had a plastic fork to eat with and the veggies were in big chunks. I managed though and was completely full by then end.

She'll want more clarification about the possible system change and how/why Tedd is connected. Disco Wizard accused Immortals of letting themselves forget about the Will of Magic so she does have the right to try to get back that knowledge. And she's keeping her hand up because she's conjured and orb of light which isn't as apparent on this page, but is on the previous.

Well looks like Cpt. Obvious and I were on the right track about this guy, he certainly was using a form intended to intimidate visitors. He isn't an Immortal, but more like an immortal before Immortals became cool? An immortal hipster? Pandora could easily take what Heka said about how mortals these days would react to his regular form and say that mortals have changed their perception of what fairies should be as well and her kind needed a new name to be known as. Of course there are mortals that aren't all that impressed with calling them "Immortals" either. Anyway, it seems like there's a chain of command forming here, Heka at the very least represents a higher tier of magical being. If there are more like him, what are the chances it was one of them that empowered Disco Wizard, though it would be funny if it was Heka that did it. Seriously, Heka said that "The library and it's contents are entwined with mortal destiny." if he has knowledge of all that's happened and is happening, he'd probably already be aware of what's going on in Moperville and that it could trigger a magic system change. Heka might be in a position to guide mortals in preventing it.

This seminar isn't so much for people just getting into careers and such, but more of a "We need to check that people who are collecting EI are actually looking for a job" because the notice that I got also had a form to fill out with places that I've applied to and whether or not I've been offered anything. I haven't been applying for other jobs because I'm expecting things to pick up at my current job soon. Now that it's Spring, I'll be getting into the landscaping at the hotel shortly and I'll be getting more hours in.

My job hit a slow patch back at the end of January so my boss suggested I go on unemployment until things picked up again, I'd still be on call if I was needed and I have been putting in at least 5-10 hours a week, it's just not enough income to pay the bills. When I filled out my EI form, I selected "shortage of work" as the reason for applying for EI benefits, and stated that I would be returning to work at a later time and I've been reporting all the hours I do work so they have it on record that I haven't completely stopped working for my employer. Unfortunately when Service Canada needed to fill in a job search seminar, they just pulled names at random and didn't bother to check if those selected actually needed to find jobs. So tomorrow, I must spend an hour and a half being told how to find a job or else I could lose the ability to file for benefits in the future. Fun times...

It's hard to stay clear of religion when talking with Pharaoh RutinTutin. (PM me if you still don't get it, I don't want to be boring on forum.) The closest to current religious belief that EGS has gotten to was with regards to Nanase's Guardian form. That there are Immortals named Zeus is an indication that Dan is fine with delving into ancient religion, myths and legends.

Elliot and Grace cheat. But seriously, Complexity 3 was enough to do cosmetic stuff, complexity 4 was related to internal organs and implants, complexity 5 was neurosurgery. Complexity 1 and 2 was more for first aid related stuff like stitches/bandaging and setting broken bones. And of course you couldn't do surgery on yourself, that level of skill would be if you were disguising someone else, disguise complexity 4 and under could easily be done on one's self.
