  1. Things That Make You Happy

After 12 nail biting innings and my dad going to bed after 7 thinking there wasn't a chance. The Toronto Blue Jays managed to get past the Baltimore Orioles in the Wild Card game 5-2 with a 3 run homer from Edwin Encarnacion. Now for that post season rematch with the Texas Rangers.
  2. http://www.egscomics.com/index.php?id=2257 Way to delegate guys. I'm guessing from Ellen's reaction, Nanase must have talked to Edward about Susan and Diane before Elliot and Ellen arrived.
  3. Story, Monday October 3, 2016

The second panel was just stating that his actions can't be excused by gender. That still doesn't mean that if, by chance, Susan saw her dad again she'd immediately tell him to get lost. She'd probably attempt to find out why he did what he did and if he regretted doing it. What I was saying before was that when she finds out that her dad has a history of cheating on her mom, the chance of forgiveness will likely drop through the floor.
  4. Story, Monday October 3, 2016

Third panel, I read that as consideration, she never forgave him, but saying she's unsure how she feels at that point meant there could be a chance for forgiveness, but since she doesn't expect to ever see him again, it might never get resolved.

On that note, I was not a fan of the "Power Play" episode of TNG. Brent was the only one that really sold the idea that he was possessed, Marina and Colm seemed more like androids than Data normally is.
  6. Story, Monday October 3, 2016

It occurred to me that the Susan/Diane issue would be more difficult than I thought, I originally stated that only Susan would be shocked by having a sister mainly because of the fact that Diane already knew she was adopted and she had already figured out that Susan would be her sister. What I didn't realize was that Diane might be shocked about why she might have been put up for adoption, as it was, she probably figured it was either she was orphaned, or the parent's couldn't afford to keep a child or something that was beyond the parent's control, but finding out that she's the product of an affair and the mother didn't want a kid to begin with or didn't want to have a reminder of the affair might give Diane a sense of "my real mother didn't care and my real dad couldn't be trusted around women". For Susan it would be more than just the revelation that she has a sister, at the end of Grace's birthday party, Susan had come to terms with the fact that her dad made a choice when he had an affair with that blonde, and might have been considering forgiving him for what seemed like a single lapse in judgement, but knowing that he was cheating even before she was born, and that he got both her mom and some other woman pregnant in a short timespan. She's likely to go back to hating her dad again. I don't believe she would hold any malice towards Diane because of it though. I wonder though, would they update Diane first before talking to Susan, or are they going straight to Susan. On one hand Diane's waiting to hear what Edward said about her relation to Susan, but on the other Susan's going to be blindsided by this considering she think she's going to talk about what happened to Elliot.

That was the same with Brent Spiner and his Data vs Lore stuff, he was able to go to 2 different extremes seamlessly, heck the 4th season episode "Brothers" had Brent playing Data, Lore, and Dr Soong, I'd love to see a blooper reel of the times Brent would have spoken the wrong lines for the wrong character.

I'm thinking that too, Pandora was annoyed that the transformation was mundane enough to be easily missed (change blindness), or if people did notice, it'd be dismissed as being a costume due to how close to Halloween it is, but maybe she didn't expect Catalina and Rhoda to make a big deal out of it? Or maybe Catalina has a further transformation coming up that makes a big deal out of it? I was surprised we didn't see Luke during the "Marker" half of this story, but then I got thinking Luke must have been marked when Justin and Rhoda got their marks because he was able to compare Grace's aura to Shadow Guy(Noah)'s aura so he would have had that ability back in New and Old Flames. Luke might have been in one of the cars that nearly got fireballed.

Yeah I didn't know about that until I took an IT course in 2006, which was 10 years after the fact, funnily enough I was the only one in the class that was able to create a boot disk without instruction from the professor.

I may have been late to the party when if comes to computers, always needed someone to load programs for me on a C64, and the Tandy 1000RL my parents bought was entirely floppy disk driven. But when we upgraded to the 486 IBM Aptiva with Windows 3.11 and DOS 6.22 that I started learning about how to mess with the autoexec.bat and config.sys files to try to get EMS and XMS memory to work properly with certain games, I had a stack of boot disks made up with custom settings for each game that needed more than the base 640k.
  11. Story, Wednesday September 21, 2016

As flawed as Season 2 was, it did lay the groundwork for the rest of the series. Season 1 attempted to portray humanity and the universe in general as more peaceful and perfect compared to the setting in TOS, but that didn't work out very well so Season 2 saw characters having flaws, struggling with questions of honor and loyalty, and even introduced the Borg.
  12. Story, Wednesday September 21, 2016

The main thing about the Data story was the episode where a guy from starfleet R&D wanted to take him back and disassemble him for study in the hopes to reproduce Soong's work and make more androids, this called into question Data's rights as a sentient being and was then determined he did fit the definition of one, later on those rights would be tested again when Data attempted to create his own offspring and R&D wanted to take her away for study. The Doctor's case wasn't quite as groundbreaking but the idea was the same, we have an artificial intelligence that gained a fair amount of autonomy (especially once he aquired the 29th century tech based mobile emitter) and had become almost indistinguishable from the rest of the crew and yet there were moments where there was a question of if he or any like him should be treated as anything more than just a artificial intelligence.
  13. Story, Wednesday September 21, 2016

And that was just a rehash of the "Is Data a sentient being?" story.
  14. Story, Monday October 3, 2016

Unless Pandora told her, Sarah probably doesn't know about Elliot, Ellen and Nanase meeting with Edward. Before Pandora came back to her, Sarah probably planned on telling at least Elliot, Tedd and Susan about her mark at school on Monday.
  15. Yep. Though that's not really considered canon, I mean it could be if you place it happening after the MV5 storyline and believe that Tedd is trying out the forms that Sarah, Grace and Ellen came up with, but that's ultimately Dan's decision. As for Tedd's genderfluidity, I think any time we've seen male Tedd is when he has no real desire to be female, hmm well, I guess that's not entirely true, Tedd could be suppressing the desire in the current story for all we know, but a lot of times that he's male could be because he doesn't feel female.
  16. It's really hard to tell because of the way her sweater morphs.

Also keep in mind that Justin didn't say anything that could connect back to Elliot, although George assumed pretty quick the there was a connection but that was more because George was observant. Susan gave Tensaided a direct connection between Elliot and Cheerleadra by saying he knows her and "is Lois Lane to her Superman", Elliot did end up perpetuating it by having Cheerleadra visit Tensaided and then told him that he could call Elliot if he saw any trouble. It probably wouldn't have been an issue if Voltaire didn't call out Cheerleadra as being Elliot though.
  18. Pinup: Oct 2, 2016 (Furry Fun Times)

I think Sarah and Susan on con last month were more nude. Of course, hard to compare, fur versus badges, hands versus towels ... As far as furry goes, there's the Rhoda and Catalina pinup which is about the same, but for actual nudity, there are the Sarah+Sarah!Grace+Ellen pinups which might be more than Sarah+Susan at the con.
  19. Pinup: Oct 2, 2016 (Finally Mermaids)

If we accept the traditional image of mermaid cities on bottom of sea, I don't think gills would suffice ... the amount of oxygen inside underwater building can't be high enough ... In the Seaquest TV series, there was a character that had been genetically modified with gills in a believe the ribcage area so that he could breath underwater. I can't imagine how they managed to make it possible to go from air breathing to waterbreathing and back again with no issues though.
  20. Pinup: Oct 2, 2016 (Seeing Rainbows)

Tensaided probably has the movie edition of the Battleship game, does that count?
  21. I'm happy that a choice that I suggested in the relevant thread made it into the poll, but sad that it's last in votes.
  22. Story for Friday, September 30, 2016

Do you think Edward will chew out Susan?
  23. NP, Friday September 30, 2016

Not at all. She could be carried. Nah, she totally hibernates.
  24. Story for Wednesday, September 28, 2016

Actually, I think he is aware considering he originally called them in to distract Helena and Demetrius and Abner's report that they're not watching Elliot 24/7 would suggest that the vampires are being distracting and Sirleck probably would expect some to be killed.
  25. Story for Friday, September 30, 2016

Except Sarah can't actually pause time, it's just a simulation in her head of that precise moment in time that she can play around with however she wants.
