    Ooooooh....I just realized something else.

When Abraham tried to kill our Ellen, Nanase convinced him to swear not to hurt her. Abraham's exact words were "I solemnly swear to never harm Ellen Dunkel". What do you all think Abraham might think if he walked in thinking Magus was a threat only to find out his name is Ellen Dunkel?

Well obviously Abraham's vow is nothing like an Immortal's vow. I was thinking more along the lines of comedic value though.

Well Tom, you were right on the whole "Magus E." thinking. But we were all (well, except for Hack who didn't go with E name) way off on what the E was.

Half a box of cookies good?

I mean to even guess that Magus was a nickname had to be a longshot worth more than just 1 cookie.

More awkward that 2 Elliots in the same room and someone calls out "Elliot" that's for sure.

I also just realized, though I'm not entirely sure if Dan was foreshadowing this. But if Dan had planned for Magus' real name to be Ellen right at the start then maybe he hinted at it back in Sister 2 when he commented that Nanase would be a man in his universe.

I should add this too since it was a point I was talking about in the previous comic's thread.
I'm not considering Magus/Ellen's apology in the first panel as part of his atonement, that was merely for going on that bit of a tangent.
Elliot is considering what he might have done if he was in that situation, that's good, he's still mad that he had to be pulled into it as well, that's also good, it was a bad situation.
Forgiveness? Elliot's going to need much more from Magus/Ellen, this is not a "he's family, help him" kind of thing, I don't know what would be required for atonement though.

I think the "Ellens" part was when Ellen held Sirleck, when we saw the visual representation it was Ellen and an Ellen-looking Sirleck, so Dan could get by on a technicality there.

All too much sense. It does strange things to the human mind to spend your time in complete isolation. Escape from that, no matter how strange the company, fills an essential need. It is difficult to see how he could have reacted otherwise.

So the Hack has reached 1809?  He must now contend with some of History's great trouble makers.

Tony is Elliot's enemy in the main universe, they don't really go out of each other's way to fight, though Tony has constantly bullied Tedd throughout both elementary and secondary school and Elliot's been there to defend Tedd, what if it's an even more heated rivalry between Magus and his universe's version of Tony. In the "Night Out" story it was implied that Tony was attracted to Tedd, and in the "Oblivious Wand Waving" non-canon story, Tony is seen admiring Tess, what if Tony's alternate in Magus' universe had a thing for Terra and wanted Magus out of the way to get to her?

Well for Magus to be training to be a Battle Mage, it would make sense if he was able to handle various situations, Dragons, Werewolves, Aberrations, other Mages, etc.

Probably not as loud as Melissa though.
Yeah, I actually had to double check back in the first Sister arc and the Diamond was on the second floor then as well, that one window was probably left without glass for the same reason that first floor window was left unlocked, to give would be thieves what appears to be an easy way out, but that's more likely where the trap gets sprung.
Ashley didn't see anything like Sirleck before, an angry gryphon is still a fuzzy animal, but I wouldn't want to touch something like Sirleck with a 10 foot pole*.

*I mean no offense to Polish people, but if any of you are over 10' tall, you'll be my go to for dealing with creep-scary stuff.

Ok while this doesn't prove that Ellen's forgiven Magus for his actions, she at least knows his intentions and is willing to work with it.
Plus she would at least figure he'd be the best person there that can deal with Sirleck.

Kidding aside, I did jump to that conclusion without considering that Adrian never married Diane's biological mother, so Diane wouldn't automatically take Raven as a last name. She would have the option to choose to do so if she wanted to though, but it's really up to her and she is 18 so no one can force her.

Well, it's confirmed, Ellen has been fully aware this whole time, and she'd not about to let Sirleck get his way either.
This ain't going to be a thumb war either.

Well I would expect that knowing that Magus was only acting on the guidance of an Immortal might make Ellen have some forgiveness for Magus. Magus really had no other choice since he wasn't in any position to ask Elliot for help himself.

Back on the subject of Ellen's ability to fight Sirleck, it could be foreshadowed that Ellen could do so way back at Grace's birthday when she was able to resist Magus' attempt to manipulate her into zapping Elliot and instead, redirected her beam at Tedd. Dan might not have thought of that, but it would make it seem plausible that Ellen wouldn't be easily manipulated because of that. It also wouldn't surprise me if Dan did think of that and we'll have Magus mention that he gave Sirleck the idea of possessing Ellen, believing that Ellen was capable of fighting Sirleck long enough for Magus to recover from the diamond and then properly deal with Sirleck.

Those lights weren't the signal or else they'd be too late to indicate that Helena and Demetrius are distracted, also those lights being the signal would have indicated that Sirleck knew about the aberration nuke spell, but Pandora said that it was a spell that no mortal could get, and now that I think of it, might be considered the Ultimate Bane from which Pandora's descendants get their affinity from.
No, the original signal was to tell the vampires to attack and we never saw what that signal was, Sirleck might have just assumed that once the attack was under way then Elliot would be cleared for zapping. And it's likely he was risking it by assuming, but again maybe Helena and Demetrius let him and we're about to find out soon where they've been this whole time. Heck maybe there's been a miscommunication about which Immortals were spotted at the mall, if say Scarf Guy reported back to Sirleck that he's spotted 2 Immortals at the mall, Sirleck would assume it'd be the Immortals that he needed to be distracted, but in reality it was Pandora and Zeus that were seen, not Helena and Demetrius.
