Grace could be that excited about someone having a new hairstyle. Speaking of Hope, has Grace ever met Pandora when she was awake? -
Hope is definitely out of her depth, the contrast with Pandora is almost painful to see. Would that we could see other "newborn" immortals to see if feelings of inadequacy are common or a result of her unique circumstances. Jerry/Zeus is the closest example we have, and I believe he had a bit more time to mature than Hope has had.

My thought is that a perhaps unexpected side effect of Pandora trying to retain her memories is that she feels horribly inadequate, always comparing what she is to what she was.

Luke has an itch he hates to scratch. He knows it can hurt him, but he can't help it. Interesting.

Tedd is still Tedd. His mind goes to spell resistance, his imagination goes... elsewhere.

Tedd's just figured out something important. Either a way for him to get magics spells of his own or a way to train magic resistance, I'm not sure which.

I'd be astonished to learn that Sarah never tried something like this when she was working as Tedd's lab rat. Interesting question about Hope. We don't really know about Immortal magic, do we? Dan is only now getting specific about how building one's "magic muscles" works for Humans. -

Perfect Nanase reaction. Also, quite an unconscious change for her, she's gone from thinking of Tedd as the weird cousin she avoids, to seeing him as the dispenser of magical goodies.

One of my hoped-for storylines would be for Grace and Lavender to have a long talk about the Uryoum "birds and bees." -
The commentary calls those two boxes treasure chests. So she left herself a physical cache of cash, somewhere.

I didn't read it that way at first, either, but a couple of things don't seem to add up, most notably that a shop facing the river would, presumably have a mundane entrance facing the river. She could be squatting, and unwilling or unable to use that door.

"...the shops on this side..." Am I understanding correctly? Hope is on the Griffins' side of the world?

Heh, Hope learning how to fit in human society looks like it will be fun. It's interesting that she's even trying. Does she intend to reveal herself to those she remembers, or is she intending to just become their friends? Seems unsatisfying if the latter; I've been looking forward to the reunions. Justin's being remarkably polite here; most clerks aren't so circumspect about checking for counterfeits.

But she shrank as she cast the spell, and seems surprised be that. I don't believe that she expected that to happen. ijuin's idea that magic was making her taller until she channeled it into something else seems like a good one. -

Cassandra's pigeons are coming home to roost with Hope, the gifts she gave Justin and Luke may be liabilities. This is probably another reason most Immortals would rather reset entirely. No need to deal with past mistakes if they were committed by a "dead" person. Her reintroduction to Sarah should be fun.

Nanase is quite invested in her physical strength. Not surprising, she worked hard for it. She would probably need some serious reason to make that exchange.

Is "scatterbrained" really the right word? I'd say she has to relearn how to live among ordinary humans. "Unschooled", perhaps?
