Actually all we can really say is Susan's mother now doesn't look like what The Other Woman looked like when Susan was a child. When Susan was born, Her mom may have looked closer to what Susan looks like now. Just like if you take the excess weight off Mrs. Kitsune, you might get someone a lot closer to Nanase's or Noriko's build.
  2. That would equate to collateral damage as Amanda was obviously not hit with the full effect...
  3. Ellen's pretty uninhibited. She'd do something like this just to troll Greg.
  4. Look at the security guard. Nothing there that she doesn't see in a mirror...
  5. You can rationalize it as a return to gender normalcy before moving on to FV5...
  6. Actually that combines two tropes. "The most common superpower" is simply women with off-the-chart-huge boobs by real-world standards. "Boobs of Steel" says that female bad-assery correlates to bust size. Nanase is a classic "boobs of steel" sort of girl. She may even be listed in the TV Tropes article.
  7. The other two characters we know to have been present were Catalina and Rhoda.... Yup. Both of their hairstyles have been simplified, but I'll call it as Catalina standing and Rhoda on the floor.
  8. I'm thinking Tensaided is the girl right behind Ashley...
  9. considering they themselves aren't white, I'd say the latter...

We'd almost have to have Ed Verres as Gendo Ikari, which casts Tedd as Shinji and that works sooooo well. That would make anyTedd/Shinji + NanaseAtsuka sexual tension a little interesting... ("Ugly Cousin!") Everything aligned around the Verres + Tedd duo.... Grace as Rei, which immediately suggested: Sarah as Atsuka Sarah shares a lot of underlying neuroses with Atsuka and might have a bit of a thing with/for Tedd. She isn't jealous of Grace but no matching is going to be perfect. Susan seems a good match for Misato despite what I said about Rhoda. Good heart, harsh around the edges. Elliot as Kaji for how close he came to hooking up with Susan. Justin as Toji even though he and Tedd aren't that great of friends Which would mean... George as Kensuki, which made it too good to pass up. Nanase as Dr. Akagi. We really need a super-smart for this role and Tedd's taken, so I chose to substitute "skilled in magic". That plus her friendship with Susan makes it work Lavender as Fuyutsuki because of her wannabe relationship to Ed Verres and because it's funny. Otherwise I'd go with Adrian Raven. Ellen as Kaworu mostly for being yet another character with an ambiguously sexual relationship to Tedd/Shinji and for her magical creation. Noriko Verres as Yui Ikari Really...who else? It's another reason why Tedd works so well as Shinji. Alternate casting: Elliot as Toji, which would give Ashley the role of Hikari ("Class rep") Horaki Justin as Kaji because of what almost happened between Justin and Susan at Grace's birthday party Noah as Kensuki...because he's friends with Elliot and just that geeky

    Great color. Thanks.
  12. Story Monday August 29, 2016

No offense, Tom, I would appreciate it if you used a different color. That looks like the color The Old Hack uses when he is posting as a moderator and correcting behavior that is out of bounds.

Rhoda rocks the Misato Katsuragi look...

It also requires Susan be capable of passing on the curse. Susan is baby #2, therefore the likely duplicate. But Susan has no accidental cursing in her known past. Diane doesn't have much past revealed for her, but there are no accidentally-cast curses in her past either,.

Agreed. Magic likes Drama, which makes up for a lot.
  16. Story Monday August 29, 2016

There's something weird here. Susan was not adopted but Diane is. So Separated at birth for some reason. But you'd expect with a birth separation the Pompoms would keep the older twin if they were going to keep one, and they didn't. I suspect something is afoot that eluded or confused Ed Verres' background checks, which points straight at The Other Woman in some way, almost-certainly as Susan's and Diane's birth-mother and a need to alter hospital record, give one child to Susan's mom and the other up for adoption. The why's that go with that are less clear.

I expect there's a fairly large gulf between when Pandora could wake Sarah before Sarah could wake on her own. Much depends on how much Sarah's work at Tedd's Lab counts as training and how much she uses her own Mark as compared with something known to work like ASMA training.

    What manga is that?
  19. Story Monday August 29, 2016

    I prefer "Classic Jerry"...
  20. Story Friday August 26, 2016

If Sarah went about her job with enough enthusiasm, Pandora would be able to award her with an awakening.
  21. Pandora is Being Framed

Alternately Immortals may exist under a few core limits that they can't get around, one of which includes the rules for how an Immortal resets.

Spaceballs actually improved for me over time. I hated it when I saw it in the theaters. Now I kinda like it. I enjoyed History of the World Part 1 as well.
  23. Story Friday August 26, 2016

...and the more she plays with her environment, the more it will be contaminated by Sarah's thoughts, feelings and ideas and the less it will resemble a reality snapshot.
  24. Pandora is Being Framed

Maybe it's just story convenience, but I've never seen an Immortal at a loss for a spell. Contrast to DGB agents, who use wands in order to have a standardized list of spells handy, Immortals have never been seen needing props. They always seem to have just the right spell on hand.

...not-Tengue didn't seem that hard to provoke. One a human takes the first swing, the gloves are off.
