Welcome, everyone, to the new 910CMX Community Forums. I'm still working on getting them running, so things may change. If you're a 910 Comic creator and need your forum recreated, let me know and I'll get on it right away. I'll do my best to make this new place as fun as the last one!

Vorlonagent reacted to CritterKeeper in Changing Medications (Level of Trust Required)
My Dad used to volunteer to give rides to people who had medical appointments, not just in town but in nearby towns, too. I have no idea what group or charity organized it, but you should look into whether that's an option in your area. If it's someone who volunteers regularly, they might be more flexible about having to know the person, and if not maybe you could take them out to lunch ahead of time and then just describe them as "a friend." Ask your town/village senior services, ask your church, ask the hospital if they have (or know of) any sort of services for those in need. Several towns around here have vans available for transport for seniors even for non-medical things. Your local public transit system might also have something for the disabled, which your doc should be willing to declare you!

What? Original-concept-Susan admitting positive qualities in a male was not surprising enough to fold Moperville onto itself?

Not to push too hard on an option that isn't the most workable...but both rideshare companies can book from web pages. You could catch a to-procedure ride with one of them and have Mrs. Prof take the return leg.

I'm hoping this means that they're getting to the root of things rather than just going by rote.

First "this comic" shows Diane being a gossip. Like everybody else. It illustrates pettiness but not outright ill-will. Not by high school standards. Kids, even high school kids, can be vicious creatures.
Second "this comic" shows Diane making doe-eyes and a guy who is pulling money out of his wallet. If she isn't making those eyes for the guy with the wallet, the next best explanation for me is Diane's hero-worship of Nanase. She might be envious of how close and casual Justin's relationship is to Nanase and wanting that for herself.
You can make these comics fit a pattern of actual dislike but I'd like more solid evidence before I sign on, and a better answer to refuting evidence. This comic shows Diane barely aware of Justin beyond "he's the gay guy". Her focus is on Nanase.
Diane's "Defective male companion" line next strip works just fine as a reference to Justin's gayness without reading any deep or longstanding animosity into it.

The pain itself is pulling almost a full LI at the moment. I'm going through Tramadol at the label dosage (1-2 every 4-6 hrs) instead of one twice a day (chronic pain management dosage). That's taking the razor edge off, but not for long. I'm going to need something stronger than Tramadol, which means Mrs. Prof is probably going to have to drive me out to Rockwall so that I can get a paper prescription from the doctor, if he'll prescribe hydrocodone or stronger.

Errr, affinities, not abilities. I know it is a rather fine distinction but I am a little extra concerned when what we know is so nebulous already. For example, Susan and Diane were both born with an affinity that also placed them in the category of potential abomination killers, but they weren't actually born with any magical abilities -- just the potential for them.

Far more likely is a temporary Elliot-Grace hookup with Tedd's approval...

May this be as bad as it gets before getting better.

It just isn't something Susan would be wearing. One more thing that makes me feel like this isn't Susan.

Agreed. I'm not making san rolls here but it just looks "off".

While I would not think of that as a "good" thing, obviously you do, so go with that. Look for the small bits of shinny in the muck. Just don't throw your back out bending over to pick them up.

If you don't like him, he;ll grow on you. Like a fungus. An enthusiastic, boss and GM hybrid, rules-evoking alpha-geek sort of fungus.

English's great advantage and disadvantage is it is a mongrel language.
You can be very expressive and individual with it if people can figure out what the frell you're saying...
