Problem is she likely didn't tried half of those spells in canon BECAUSE she's too reasonable to make so wacky hijinks ... Anyway, I'm definitely not tired yet. Probably not literally all of them, there are lot of combinations. Some are just to make harder to guess which WILL be used.

Or there are additional expenses. It costs more if you need to visit without NSA knowledge, for example. Or ... remember how Napoleon wanted to visit Moscow? It cost him 400000 soldiers! Definitively expensive. Unfortunately, I kind of agree. But it's still an awful situation. Tedd without a mother, thinking she left because he wasn't good enough (there is a conversation between he must have overheard as a child that led to him coming to that conclusion, at least I hope it was that and not Noriko saying something to him directly), or Tedd with a mother who either considers him not good enough or perhaps, crippled in some way, too vulnerable to keep in her life. She needed some serious counseling and I do confess to looking forward to seeing her reaction to discovering Tedd is a seer/wandmaker. Apparently, the shortage of counsellors is longterm ; Noriko didn't get any, Tedd didn't get any, Susan didn't get any, Grace didn't get any ... (Note: It seems it didn't take so long for Tedd to develop complex from the scanning. But yes, if she wouldn't be able to raise him it's better if she's not around. Also, I suspect there really are some good reasons why she can't visit even on Christmas ...) I'm not sure why you think Sarah would be better than Grace for helping him. In any case, Grace is MUCH CLOSER and her parents wouldn't object to her going to hug a boy in middle of night (because they are all dead). While the idea that this becomes multigeneration saga, current main characters will be replaced by their children and later their children and we get to the point main characters starts dying of old age is appalling, I think it would take thousands of years to get there. Although you might be used to such waits ...

"Nastiness"? Who will be the judge for this? Or you mean like Ellen matching the transformation to pretend to revert them? I'm not sure if it's good idea, considering the spells will likely end in different time ...
-
What do you mean - fantasy? (* Turning around from big partially done scheme labeled 'Project "Hug Tedd" - Interdimensional gate' *)

Maybe he got fear-induced awakening from the wand? But, yes: this time Dan managed to totally surprise me. All the speculations about seers being undetectable or whatever and he just resisted the spell. And Adrian apparently didn't tried his own detecting abilities on him ever. Unless he did and him not telling Noriko is why he's blaming himself for the breakup. BTW, I'm not surprised he resisted in later tries. I'm surprised he already resisted first time. Let's stick to hugs for Tedd. As far as I am concerned, the jury is still out on Noriko. But she better hope that the defence has some damned good arguments and that the prosecution takes a nice, deserved and above all long rest. ... while I agree, I don't see why current page would change anything about Noriko. Or he already snapped. This reaction of his doesn't seem natural to me ... still, better than what Edward predicted. Hopefully.

Poe's law more or less says you really can't assume that on the internet. Or more accurately, because there are people that make Poe's Law needed, you can't say that on the Internet. The original Poe's law referred to parody to some extreme view ... but yes, seems it's much more general.

Which miscalculation? If you mean the previous comic, that's not a miscalculation, that's FV5(sort of) at work. I know Dan called it FV4 but I coulda swore the female variants had different design rules compared to the male variants. For those wondering, Susan has grown to 5'8", or some other number if using the metric system. I'm not that great with conversions, but I think this makes her about 22 meters tall.

Band-aids are supposed to have been invented by a man who married a woman who was always cutting her fingers in the kitchen. I guess he never figured out she was cutting herself in hopes he'd offer to try his own hand in the kitchen. ... as if he wouldn't need band-aids then. That's why for now I am mainly focusing on a campaign comic.(Do you know what that means or do you need a definition) Since that allows me to use screencaps from anime to tell my story, I can use my limited knowledge of photoshop to do the job. Even so I often have problems. There are people capable of making story with lego figures. Maybe you can get somewhere with combining photographs of action figures and drawn background? Remember that your hosting doesn't care if people can read the comics. Unless it's specific hosting for comics, their recommendation doesn't apply to you. Also, try to experiment with formats and their compression settings before making images smaller. That, and Ellen's occasional semi-agnostic prayer. Oh and an occasional mention that might offend some religious folk - for example... Dan tries hard to offend as little people as possible with how is religion depicted in his comics. That basically means never speaking about it. Does the fact she might need to come back to re-learn her magic after reset counts? If Noriko is as bad as you think, bitch-slapping her can get you killed.
-
Are you suggesting that the current plot threads could be resolved in less than two centuries? No. I was speaking about just that single thread, and not about it being resolved but continued ...
-
I guess, but I would NOT feel comfortable posting that level of art online That's much worse problems than inability to draw well. If you want to make webcomics, I mean.
-
Is it at least as good as this? I would definitely expect that there are more people with ideas for webcomics than artists, so getting someone would be hard (or not cheap). You should at least try so you can appreciate how hard the drawing is.

It's obvious she knows more that she lets on, but she can still know about her family being monster hunters and the existence of magic and probably even Adrian being an Elf, but she could still have refused to take part in any of it. Therefore, "I think". It's not certain, it just seem like interesting possibility to me with nothing in canon contradicting it. She MIGHT've been different in past. But yes ... she doesn't want to be monster hunter. She may feel the responsibility to became one, but she definitely doesn't want. Doesn't mean she doesn't want ANY magic. She may consider good idea to have some magic for protection of her family. On the other hand, the long family history suggests that they mostly went just fine - there would be no family otherwise. I would hope Edward has more diplomatic experience to if he assumes like this he will at least not say it out loud. Pretty logical option would be to ask Adrian. Even if Adrian would be unwilling to answer, he wouldn't know how exactly he should lie to support Edward lies. But, Tedd could actually get partial confirmation from GRACE if he tries. Good travel agent might actually SAVE MONEY by visiting family on Christmas. But ... maybe Noriko is not GOOD travel agent. Maybe she spends too much time monster hunting and can barely earn enough to survive as travel agent. ... while that's possible, it raises question why NOT-TENGU is not dead. If she would be working off her frustration, most monsters she hunts would end up dead. Unless he had that job chosen for her for years. Wizards awaken? Considering wizards are specifically those who can learn other people's spells after they awaken ... definitely. I would say out of college, but otherwise agree. (Or maybe married in college and have child immediately afterwards). ... I was trying to tell that several times ... He'd have to be considering he's Tedd's dad. Pandora admits there was a falling out between him and Adrian, it's apparent that she originally blamed Edward for it, but she seemed to regret trying to get Edward to kill Abraham. She might also feel obligated to go to Edward and tell him what she meant by the Egg and Hawk. Pandora seems to be done with the games and is serious about setting things right, that has to include apologizing to Edward about how she treated him directly or indirectly. That may be true, except it's possible Edward is not ON Pandora's mind at all. Pandora has lot of things to do and may not be trying to make list of all who should she apologize ... May be one of reasons why he prefers to not think about it. I don't think Blaike knew what a band-aid is. Actually, Band-Aid was invented in 1920, so he definitely didn't. Would Tedd be able to accept that hug? I think he would prefer hug from Grace. Pandora was angry with Edward because she thought he cut Adrian out of Tedd's life. But I don't believe Pandora has ever brought up Noriko. I may be channeling Agent Wolf now, but why is Noriko not dead now? A mother who deserts her own child? I think it's a reasonable conjecture that if Noriko didn't have another child, Noriko would be dead. Well, legendary monster hunter and Pandora can't act directly? Or there is some reason why Pandora is more willing to forgive Noriko than Edward? Or Adrian forced her to vow to not take revenge on Noriko? Actually, it would make lot of sense for him to try that, although I'm not sure why would Pandora accept.

Just because you're in a different universe that doesn't mean events won't unfold the same way - and therefore be predictable. *shrug* We won't know for sure unless Dan confirms it somehow, though. Obviously depends on how many universes there are. If it's like ten, it can still be boring, but if the number is infinite and immortals would be able to travel between all of them ... Voltaire did seem conversant with Ancient law as well as Immortal law. Certainly if Griffins can travel from one side to the other, so should Immortals and Ancients. It would be logical assumption, but there are possibilities - like, it may be forbidden by immortal law, or just very risky unless you are fluent in laws of both halves. Also, just because he knows Ancient law doesn't mean he actually was there. His informations may be from book. In any case, irrelevant to discussion of other universes, although it's true that if Nioi was able to travel between universes, you can again assume it can't be so hard based on that. EGS Prime doesn't have to have been specifically chosen as Magus' destination, it might have been one of those "I don't care where he ends up, as long as he's gone" situations. That's *a* way to bet but not the way *I'd* bet. I'm pretty sure he was shanghaied, not ejected. That's your bet. Both are possible, of course - but while we can just speculate about motivations of other universe characters, we have pretty good idea about what motivates "our" Pandora and it doesn't seem to me she did it. And, well, we have enough characters mainly because Dan used to be less careful about introducing new characters back then. It's possible that similarly to Lord Tedd, Terra and the one responsible for ejecting Magus from his universe will return in some future-but-already-planned story, sometime around 2200. Just because we have character capable of shapeshifting doesn't mean any new person must be this character. After all, if it would always be that way, there will be no surprise when Dan would actually WANT to make plot twist based on someone new being revealed to be existing character.

What makes you think Nanase's mother doesn't know she's wizard? She knows more than she wants to admit to Nanase. Do you also believe her she has no sister? Also, how much are we sure those thunders are caused by hair fairy as opposed to being Mrs. Kitsune spell? Technically, we don't know if he took her name, just that she didn't took his.
-
Well, yes, although she could be younger than Noriko. Heck, Noriko could be older than Edward. But I'm pretty sure she's not older than Adrian Raven I still think Noriko and Edward MET at high school, maybe Raven got them together? To parallel current group of eight little more. If it would be true Elliot wouldn't worry so much about HIS mother age.
-
Whole bus filled with mages lead by Noriko Verres? You could overthrow whole governments with so much power ... Pandora must have seen Mama Kitsune's potential, but the "if she tried" part sounds like Mama Kitsune didn't try to reach her magic potential, Raven might have tried but if she refused to take direction in that subject then she likely didn't awaken. I still get the impression that Mama Kitsune is the older sister, so if Adrian failed to get her interested in magic, but was able to get Noriko interested, then it would make sense for him to have put more effort into maintaining that interest, which could have been the basis for him believing he was a terrible influence in Noriko putting her career ahead of her family. "If she tried" referred to "equally powerful". It's completely possible that she awakened just didn't trained enough to reach Noriko's levels. And I think that Dan is preparing plot twist with Mrs. Kitsune knowing more than she pretends and her being awakened would match that more. You do realize that "Foobar" is really "FUBAR" which is a WWII shorthand for "F___ed Up Beyond All Recognition." It was also the title of an episode of Ken Burns The War. Yes, but it's also used as metasyntactic variable for nearly 60 years. On the other hand, I did imagine castle Foobar being partially in ruins, so ... For destinations that are literally out of this world? And quite often final? Deserted Tedd before Mrs. Kitsune finished high school? Could she even get legally married so soon - wait, you think Noriko is the older sister, right? Still, remember Nanase is similarly aged as Tedd. Mrs. Kitsune can't be that young.
-
We know Adrian was Mama Kitsune's least favorite teacher, it's easily assumed that it's because of what happened to her sister and she blames him for it as well. It's also possible she never really cared for his teachings. I would assume that he would FIRST be her teacher, THEN her sister did something she might blame him for. Of course her opinion on him might changed, but it's also possible he was her least favorite because she didn't liked magic, didn't put much effort into it and Raven had hard time teaching her. But, he didn't just gave up - then he wouldn't be her least favorite teacher. Therefore, I would consider likely she is awakened. Also note that Pandora might not have good knowledge on Mrs. Kitsune abilities, especially if Mrs. Kitsune got better after she stopped talking with Adrian. I sort of suspect she does her best to both prepare Noriko for magic AND not abandoning the family as well. Maybe being a travel agent was an actual job she did on the side, you know travel agent by day, monster hunter by night. She might even have a blog. You think there are no money in monster hunting? Well ... Geralt isn't particularly rich, was complaining repeatedly that it's not so well paid job, and he had the advantage of being in open, so that actually makes sense. (From her blog: The castle of Foobar is particularly nice during night, and you can see great landscape from the battlements ; Comment: The castle of Foobar is never open at night and you can't get to the battlements without flying, there is no ladder and it's not allowed anyway ; Reply: Ups.) That and little more just to be sure. Although she left out the word "legendary", does it help? Good that Nanase isn't going to same school as Tedd. It would be awkward if he told her on lunch that he just found his mother comes from long line of monster hunters. Especially if she would just be drinking something.
-
This is so rich on information ... Edward Verres confirmed to be wizard. Noriko Verres confirmed to be wizard. Grace probably didn't tell Tedd everything but at least something about Raven. Really interesting, considering she generally seem to be into tradition a lot. She certainly WAS being taught magic. I would suppose that Raven is too good teacher to not get her awakened. It's possible that she stopped using magic BECAUSE of what happened with Noriko, and even if she later changed mind she wouldn't get as powerful ... Responsibilities of godfather: so, will we find out if Drew was Raven's idea? And regarding travel agent: does Pandora knows what that usually consist of? Although travel agent might easily be her official reason for visiting many countries during her hunts for monsters ...

Note that Tara was already in our half of universe when Voltaire contacted her - and that's still OUR universe. Well, EGS universe I mean. I suspect even immortals can't visit other universes easily. I don't think they would become bored if they could. I would definitely assume cause from within Magus' home universe. IF magic works different there (which we can't be sure about), the Seers may work differently as well. Seer IS type of wizard ... the "not having spells of their own" part might not be valid in that universe or those are not Terra's spells.
-
Then who did? Pandora alerted Ed Verres' group to something coming down the line and was well aware of when Magus entered the world of EGS. That alert was AFTER Magus already entered the world. And who? Could be anyone, but if Terra is Tedd's alternate and Magus Elliot's alternate, most likely culprit is Voltaire's alternate. I think Tedd was around 3-4 years old when Noriko left if the last time Adrian saw his mother before her visit to the hospital was when Noriko left. The fact that Pandora tells Tedd he should have had her support suggests that Pandora saw the whole deal unfold, but kept her distance for whatever reason. It's definitely the best time estimate we have and doesn't seem to contraindicate anything else. I mean, it didn't happened the same moment, but likely around that time - it probably took some time between starts of arguing and Noriko physically leaving, if for nothing else because of how long legal divorce takes.
-
BTW, totally not awkward. Well, awkward for us, but not for them - they only see what the other one morphed into, unless they look into mirror. (Also, I think I would survive awkwardness of them kissing ... not likely real Susan and Diane would ...)
-
1) Noriko DID marry Edward, because that's prerequisite of them to divorce. Although we can't be sure if it happened before or after having Tedd, of course. 2) Why would Tedd need to be eight? Would make more sense if he was younger. Also, note that Nanase is similar age and would be unlikely to remember Tedd being infant ; it's just that her first memories of Tedd are after divorce with Tedd appearing mute. Considering we just found out, it can't be THAT much known. Although maybe its part of family legends noone really believes ... Quite the contrary, Tedd barely talked at all after his mom left. He is uncomfortable with the topic himself, so not much questions. Also, Edward obviously told Tedd all sort of top secret stuff, even let him play with Uryuom technology - and possibly is already hoping Tedd would eventually work for government doing the same, ie. researching magitech. That is interesting. Edward has got to have seen Pandora in her base form (if you can call it that) at some point, hasn't he? No he didn't had to. Adrian could easily get away with pretending that his mother reset long ago, as she should. But interesting thought indeed. I don't think it was only purpose for catching Magus, but it MIGHT've been purpose of the warning ...
-
If Noriko is protecting people just fine in France, how come Helen and Demetrius recruited Susan and Nanase? Well ... Jerry DID said that there are people in France which would be able to help ... but it's true that we don't know if she's in France. Tedd thinks she's in Europe but even that may not be true. The point was that she didn't gave up fighting with monsters. She gave up her family, or at least one of them.
-
The technical term is grammar and she has like two types of spells, nothing complicated.

No, the clicks are Edward turning it on and off. The "Vrrrmmm" must be some sort of growl noise, something like motor - compare this youtube video labeled vrrrmmm. Nothing like sonar. (Ok, Dolphin sonar sounds closer to vrrr but still differently)
