This might just be a matter of semantics, but Immortals technically don't have precognition. Jerrry's term was virtually clairvoyant; I can't remember where else this ability has been mentioned, but I'm pretty sure there were always qualifiers. My understanding is that they their predictions are based entirely on information they already know, they just know a lot of information and have the ability to process it in ways humans (and modern computers) can't. Precognition can be thought of as mental time travel into the future, and, as the Word of Dan stated long ago in one of the Q & As, time travel will never be part of EGS. Never, never, never, until perhaps it is.

Magus split early (literally) but Helena and Demetrius were around for the karaoke contest. While they weren't actually at the party itself, Mr. Sciuridae and Grace's "siblings" got in touch with Grace the morning of her birthday, and that was important to how the party went. There's another person who would really fit into the party: Charlotte. She knows Diane, Ellen, Nanase, and even Ashley now, and she knows about magic. Plus, she's about as smart as Susan and Diane, and more level-headed. She's probably been investigated by now, so maybe she's whitelisted. But unless Charlotte actually tagged along with Rhea-tachi to the video store, I don't see a convenient way to involve her now.

Ever wonder why Ashley's parents decided to move to Moperville from California? The family might have already be in the database of Edward's oh-so-secret magical organization. They might even be in that organization. They could be magic users with the same "problem" as Edward and Noriko: Having a child who seems to have little or no magic potential. Whether or not Ashley's parents are magical spooks, Arthur has taken a personal interest in Ashley, so she would have had a background check by now if she didn't already have one. And, of course, Arthur has already arranged for Ashley to train with Tedd.

I wouldn't bet any cookies against that, but Dan might surprise both of us. Bringing in Rhea and her friends, or Mr. Tensaided, or all of them have potential for both comedy and plot advancement. Plus, Dan may not have inspiration for the next scene at the party yet, and he does have several obvious hooks for more misadventure at the video store.

You have a point, but in counterpoint, there were actually more characters at Grace's birthday party. Besides the Main Eight, we had: Magus, or the Other Ellen Helena Demetrius The Demonic Duck Matt Cohen delivering the pizza
-
Maybe even more interesting, since Diane's "WE'RE GOING TO THAT PARTY" had to be heard by everyone else in the store.

I save all the comics in this series and I try to put in the titles Dan uses on Tumblr. And occasionally instead of a few random characters at the end of the saved filename, there's another title: This one is "secretsquirrel". What's next? Morocco Mole? For a long time, in my head canon, I've thought that Susan's mom is approximately as much in the dark about Susan's magic as Nanase's mom is about Nanase's magic. First of all, the hammers that Susan was using all the time in the early comics. Second, Susan likes to have Little Nase and now her other fairies around. It's not very credible that Susan's mom could be completely ignorant of both of these phenomena. What I'd like for Friday is for Rhea, Rick, and/or Elijah to home in on the familiar voices of Diane and "Diane" and say something like "Talking to yourself now?"
-
Maybe the Demonic Duck is in the store? Diane is in serious need of distraction...
-
Possibly a Freudian slip there. I'm trying to translate a Chinese comic now while listening to a lecture about the Battle of the Java Sea, so I'm somewhat distracted.
-
Perhaps, but why would Dan do that? There's no indication in canon that Diane even knows Nanase has a little sister--or even that Susan knows, though it doesn't seem credible that Susan wouldn't know after knowing Nanase for three years. I'd agree with that. Will Diane successfully avoid Rhea, Justin, and Elijah? Doesn't seem likely. However, it seems likely that RJE have been to this video store before and would have met Susan before, or seen her reviews, or both, but haven't made the connection yet.

I have yet to see The Sword in the Stone, but I have read the book it was based on: T.H. White's The Once and Future King. I don't recall any squirrels in it, but I do remember a notable griffin. Maybe the squirrel was a Disney invention.

http://egscomics.com/comic/party-059 Bird is the word.

By road or as the squirrel flies?
-
What about fire sheep?

And to make doubly sure, find out where the Incredible Hulk buys his pants.

Perhaps also in character for Daniel Elliot Shive?

Judging by how so many people with magic have found their way into our little group, I think Dan could justify "People with magic tend to attract each other."

Whatever Noriko wanted, now Van knows about Tedd. That's a plot point that can't be ignored. Any schemes to keep that secret from Van ha' gan a-gley.
-
If Noriko left shortly after that scene, Tedd would have been too young to remember her.
-
Long ago in our time, and last spring in Moperville (in Death Sentence), Adrian Raven told Grace that he was the reason Tedd's mother and father would never get back together. The natural conclusion would be that Adrian had an affair with Noriko. But would that mean Adrian is Van's father? Probably not since Adrian thought it was impossible for him to father children until a couple of weeks ago, although that's a surprise Dan may be waiting to spring on us. I don't think Edward has ever said that Immortals can't have children. Noriko may not have married Van's father, but given how attached Van is to his "mum", she has been raising him, possibly doing a better job than she did with Tedd. Maybe Adrian had something to do with Noriko going to Europe, where she met someone, and, Van. We don't have any idea whether Edward knows about Van, but given how tightlipped Edward is, he could have been keeping Van a secret from Tedd, much as Noriko seems to have kept Tedd a secret from Van. Possibilities like this are why I like the idea of Noriko and Van unexpectedly showing up at the party. Probably won't happen, but maybe Tedd will talk about them.

Methinks from the last panel Nanase suspects her mom knows a lot more about magic than she lets on, and since she's Aunt Noriko's sister, probably has magic herself.

http://egscomics.com/comic/party-053 Yup, it was the hair.
-
But Ashley was with Nanase while she was using her fairy, and complimented Nanase when Elliot returned with Nanase's latest fairy doll. And it was Ashley that guessed why Nanase was having difficulty summoning a fairy to talk with Elliot as Cheerleadra. Ashley has met Nanase only once, but Dan has put in a lot that would make us think that Ashley should remember Nanase
-
Does Ashley pay that much attention to fashion? Enough to dress up for her internet girlfriend, and enough to leave her jacket in Elliot's car on a winter night for her first date with Elliot because she didn't want to look like a marshmallow. A cookie for Scotty for remembering "Princess Power" from when Ashley was kidnapped by Sirleck and Magus. That was two weeks ago in story time. And Ashley not only saw Nanase, she talked with Nanase. So she doesn't remember Nanase's voice? Well, maybe not just from "Hi", but...
