"I am an Alpha male" seems synonemous with "I embrace being a dick".

It does at that. Plus it's based on a faulty study of wolves.  It's BS from start to finish.

My time in food service was split between cooking and working the orders/cash register, the latter of which I actually enjoyed. I was fortunate enough to never have encountered a dipshit like the one in the webtoon. No, I considered myself good at sales (I worked at a Whataburger in southeast Houston, the second-highest volume store in the city at the time), and I was really good at suggestive selling. In particular, I liked targeting machismo types out on dates with their arm candy. For example, when they placed their order for a Whataburger, I asked if they wanted to add a sliced jalapeño to it. Of course, they couldn't turn it down and risk looking like a wimp to their girl, nor could they turn down the chance to look even more macho by saying yes. I sold a hell of a lot of jalapeños, which were practically all profit margin (they cost us pretty much zero, and I think we made a quarter per pepper sold). Impressed the hell out of my boss. Don't know what my line cooks thought, but they never bitched.

 She currently doing the cat loaf thing on the desk.  Making it a bit hard to type.

I notice that the Danish Revolution of 1784 is not mentioned, possibly because the only bloodshed during it was the Crown Prince punching his half brother in the nose while fighting over the key to the King's bedroom.

She isn't shedding as much as she was.  I suspect she's growing her winter coat now.

"I don't like the lumpy blanket as much as the fluffy ones.  Why don't you put some of those on the bed?" - Explorer the Cat.

I thought Objective Reality & Doccumented History were also at war with Putin.

One of my cats once went absolutely berserk at my Diablo II while I was away from the screen. My henchman was moving around and my cat was desperately pawing at the screen to catch her.

I am sad to report that Mario (a.k.a. Verbal) was put to sleep on Friday, September 30th. His cancer had grown to the point where it was making him very sick. Upon euthanasia, the vet palpated a large mass on his bladder which was no doubt adding to his pain. The right decision was made.
He will be sorely missed.

Well, it's reported that they did win their first big battle...
...that being, the regular-army troops demanded that the conscripts hand over all the personal possessions they brought with them (apparently a traditional thing in that military), and the much more numerous conscripts beat the tar out of them.
