I don't know. My knee hurts pretty bad.

Humpty-Dumpty time...
I had a great fall yesterday as I was returning from getting blood work done.  I was stepping up onto my porch/landing/whatever in front of my front toor, and my leg cramped up as I put weight on it.  I collapsed as a result, faceplanting into the wooden beam alongside the left of my doorr entryway. and slamming my leg into the concrete.at the base. I cut my hand and my butt. My wife had to call an ambulance to get me up. I'm still shaking from the fall. Still somewhat traumatized. My left knee got knocked out of alignment. My neck hurts on my right side. I'm shaking a lot, and my wife wrapped up my hand in gauze. More details as I can remember them.

I spent about 15 minutes trying to clear off the little end table where my daily medicine dispenser boxes sit. They'd gotten pretty overloaded: I'd say there was about 5 inches of paper piled on top of it. I managed to move about an inch before the pain in my lower back became unbearable and I had to stop. I barely made it over to the recliners, collapsed in mine, and just sat for several minutes until I could get back enough control to type this up. Even that's been a strenuous affair, requiring several breaks to get my hands to stop shaking.
I'm really going to feel this in the morning. Hoooo-boy...

In today's case, I put the capers under the salmon instead of on top, so it was a hoist instead of a heist.

A six-ounce container of fresh, chilled, organic raspberries. Ohmydearlordthey'resogood. Juicy and sweet. That, plus I had to have the fridge on "turbo chill" for a little while to get some sodas cooled down, so they're extra cold. Not too cold, just right. Om nom nom.

Much prefer having my body over yours, Prof, and I have my right arm in a sling with no idea why my shoulder has hurt so much for the last four days. (I can do left-handed mouse, but left-handed typing is awkward.)

There, damnit! I have finished off my black-eyed peas. I didn't eat any on New Year's Day 2022, and the year flat out ***sucked***. Let's see if this makes any difference whatsoever in 2023.

MY CT SCAN GOT CANCELLED.
I was told that it was cancelled earlier in the week because they couldn't do the scan at their facility on account of my allergy to the CT contrast medium. It's got to be done at a hospital, where there is rapid access to ER facilities in case I have an anaphylactic reaction. Now, why nobody contacted me prior to yesterday is anyone's guess: they say they told my doctor, so it's the doctor's fault. I don't care whose fault it is, this shouldn't have happened.
Now I've got to do it in a hospital after my catastrophic deductible resets, which means money out of my pocket. Thanks, guys.

I'll take just the first option and be done with it, thanks. 

Yesterday evening my laptop suddenly stopped detecting any Wi-Fi signals; borrowing my parents' laptop I determined that the Wi-Fi was fine - my laptop was the problem. Restarting the computer only made it worse - now the icon on the taskbar and the entry in the settings for Wi-Fi were gone entirely. I didn't want to wait for a computer repair place to be open to fix the problem (or to either pay for someone to fix it or try to make use of the warranty) if I didn't have to, so I used my parents' computer to go to the website of my computer's manufacturer (ASUS) and check the support section for suggestions.
I found a solution that seems to have worked for the moment, but before I thought to go to the ASUS site I found a bunch of Redit posts complaining about the network card my laptop has (and the drivers for said card) not being very reliable, and some people talking about having this problem repeatedly. So now I find myself worried that my laptop's wireless functions could malfunction again at any time without warning.

The food arrived promptly and in good shape. It was quite good. I ordered a side of sauteéd mushrooms to go with our food. They worked quite well with my dish - layer one shrimp, one penne vodka, and one mushroom. Ingest. Enjoy the sensation.
I have leftovers. They will be enjoyed in due time.

Got my third COVID booster today, Moderna bivalent. So five COVID shots, total, within about two years.

I seem to be over most of my COVID symptoms other than a sore throat and an occasional cough. Hopefully I can get over this in a few days. 

Early impressions of Windows 11:
I don't know if I'm less flexible these days or the differences are really greater, but it felt much more jarring going from Windows 8.1 to 11 than it did a decade ago going from Mac OSX to Windows 8. That said, after a couple days working with it (mostly setting it up and playing around with settings) I'm starting to get used to it, and it seems decent enough. (On the other hand, most of the other software the laptop came with is disappointing at best, and outright junk in many cases.)
I have two problems with it. One is a bug that might be a problem with drivers or a conflict with the included software rather than Windows itself: when I leave it sleeping for more than a few minutes, when it wakes up all my programs have closed (which rather defeats the purpose of sleep mode). Thankfully this doesn't happen if I tell it to hibernate instead, so until I find a solution I can use that as a workaround.
The other is that I miss how in 8.1's Start Menu you could group pinned items to better organize them. It looks like Start11 adds that functionality back in (thanks for the suggestion, @ProfessorTomoe), so I'll have to check that out.
