There is no Overkill. There is only “Open Fire” and “Reload”. -
Makes sense—both are instruments that lack fixed notes and require the player to set their hand positions on a continuous scale.
-
Eww, careful—those can clog up your toilet.
-
Maybe abbreviate it to MPIB?
-
I believe it is currently late February in the story?
-
You have to be careful of that. One alchemist read the literature backwards, and then created a Philosopher’s Stone that transmuted gold into iron. How embarrassing!

Yeah, Arthur is probably 70-85 years old, given that he retired several years ago and has a college-age granddaughter. He may be old enough to have been a child during WWII, but that’s about it. I like to imagine that he was a rookie agent during the 1960s.
-
Yes, why Russia? This would have been during or soon after the Cold War, so why would Arthur want Russia to have custody of an Elf Wizard of Adrian’s skill? It makes no sense that it would be intended solely as a punishment to Adrian, so perhaps it was a failed attempt to insert him as a mole within Russia?

It would be just like Putin to shoot himself and then blame the enemy. -
I think that the chicken here is a decoy meant to lure them into a trap, while the real Mirabel is elsewhere.
-
I think that Ellen means to make a Perception roll to determine whether Nanase can discern what is amiss (e.g. noticing that it is another chicken and not Mirabel), rather than “roll to acknowledge that a chicken appears to be present”.

I would say that having the damsel in distress being a chicken is the most peculiar of the changes that Ellen has made. We have seen a bit of her thought process leading to the henchmen being more diverse, as well as the villainous cleric being friends with the Mayor, but so far no explanation for the chicken thing.

I can see him resenting that he has to babysit a couple of Mortals (Susan and Diane), but I don’t see him as being so malicious that he would wantonly harm them if he could. He might want to pull the typical “trickster mentor” bit, though, and get a few laughs at their expense. He doesn’t seem to dislike Susan and Diane so much as he hates being tethered to them and obliged to do extra work due to Jerry’s vow.
-
Sarah and Ashley may want them too, though both of them have low enough energy capacity to need to depend on the wand’s storage.
-
If it’s not Zeus, then it’s definitely someone who wanted Susan to think that it was Zeus. However, none of the friendly Immortals known to us would be likely to use that form of deception, and none of the unfriendly ones would do so without also sending false messages to mislead about the new laws.
-
Paraphysics?
-
Summer is daylight time, so yes it would be CDT.
-
Hmm, Sarah’s sister Carol doesn’t seem to have any unusual powers besides her abilities as a television news reporter, but none of the rest of the young cast with whom Edward might be familiar would count as “ordinary”. Even Nanase’s little sister is likely to one day exhibit the family legacy powers.

My, that’s a lot of shed fur and dust bunnies.

Don’t be silly. They never change their line. We have always been at war with Eastasia. To suggest otherwise is crimethink. -
I think it’s minmaxing plus forbidden fruit. Players devise workarounds for the challenge of doing so. It’s the same mindset that leads tinkerers to modify devices to do stuff that they were never intended to do, like making a dishwasher run the game Doom.
