Comic for Monday, February 14, 2022 I think this is the first time Edward's met Ashley, and he didn't skip a beat. Neither did she. I am assuming glow lines around Grace only indicate emotion, not actual glowing. Looking forward to some Edward exposition next comic. I hope he explains why he is so afraid of the griffins. We are not likely to see why in-comic, unless it ends badly, which is not a thing in EGS. Also, for the griffins, they could bring Kevin along for safety. It the griffins begin behaving aggressively, they deploy Kevin, the griffins die laughing, and everyone is safe (except said griffins).

Comic for Monday January 31, 2022 Seems like Edward is almost sabotaging them with an overly cautious approach. More points in Charm, set up for the win. How is he a 'top diplomat'?

Comic for Wednesday January 26, 2022 But what if griffins view squirrels as prey? Wasn't sure how to tag Grace, came up with a solution, Grace, in case anyone searches for her using the tags, and Shade Tail, her name for this form.

Comic for Wednesday January 19, 2022 His glasses are still tracking his expression. That must be one optically complex spell.

Comic for Monday January 17, 2022 I don't think I recall Nanase being that angry before. She generally thinks before she reacts. I wonder what Edward's reason is, but I bet it has to do with Nanase's safety. If so, in my opinion, he's being overly protective. He should by now be aware that they've been in the presence of the griffins and survived without him. It could be that he is specifically overly protective of her due to a connection to Noriko, and having let her put herself in danger in a similar situation where they were working together. Recall his reaction to Abraham. In a professional sense, he kind of needs to get over it. Nanase's willingness to cut the conversation off when she became aware of Edward listening says she is aware that he has some issue. If she said she would be there, will the griffins be offended if she is not. If Edward is present, and we've seen that he is, will they take his presence as betrayal, having not been introduced to him?

Comic for Wednesday January 12, 2022 I'm pretty sure I'm a minority, but I don't like where this went for Elliot. Being a vigilante is not generally a good thing. The problem is people with shoddy moral compasses cast themselves in the role, and rationalize how the insane crap they are doing is somehow justified for the greater good. And we happen to be just past the anniversary of the perfect illustration. Granted, every now and then you get a genuine hero willing to stand up for others in genuine peril. Elliot is genuinely starting from there. But he is a kid, portrayed as not having a deep grasp on social interaction, in this comic and in previous, to some extent in the entire run of the comic. I wonder if his folks didn't introduce him to martial arts primarily for the structure and rules.

Comic for Friday January 14, 2021 The two critic girls look kind of like early Peanuts characters Violet and Patty (not Peppermint Patty). It would be in character for them.

Here. It bugs me that Tedd hasn't tried to quantify Cheerleadra's power. Some of the powers, like Charm would be difficult to put numbers on, but weights are fairly easy to improvise. Magical Resistance would be interesting to look at, too. How many points does she need to resist Ellen's FV5 beam?
-
This actually makes sense. In comic book terms, anyway. Or maybe in D&D terms. Lawful Good becomes Chaotic Evil. The idea of Chaotic Evil Cheerleadra is somehow both terrifying and sexy at the same time. Especially if she has 28 factorial points to work with.

https://www.egscomics.com/egsnp/forreals-15 Now Susan has a list, and EVERYONE is on it? I suppose it makes a certain kind of sense to simply say everyone is in the "No" category unless and until I personally put them on the "Maybe" or "Yes" lists
-
https://www.egscomics.com/egsnp/forreals-17 I'm guessing Susan gave up reading the comments shortly after the "Ronin" incident Elliot likely checks the comments about as often as he checks his spell book

https://www.egscomics.com/egsnp/forreals-16 The sixteenth comic of a story released on the sixteenth of the month? That's got to be worth a cookie or two . . . - - - A thoughtful exploration of a topic that withholds judgement and accepts anyone who claims to be in a group as a member of that group? This is highly objectionable!

https://www.egscomics.com/egsnp/forreals-10 Careful Elliot, You're likely to get hit with a couch if you upset your Girlfriend on This show - - - But I can already see nitpics the "Real Fans" of this show will be pointing out First, fan has more than one printed definition Second, different dictionary publishers have different sets of deffinitions Also, when was this dead tree dictionary published? Even the newest printed edition will be a little out of date. If this is the same Dictionary your mother was using in high school, we really can't be sure of anything. Remember, English Language Dictionaries are descriptive, not prescriptive. They do not declare what the correct spelling, pronunciation, and definition of a word must be Rather, they attempt to distill from the broadest possible scope of all English Language users what those things currently are

https://www.egscomics.com/egsnp/forreals-14 If people are fans of the thing of which I say I am a fan, but they like it for different reasons, then the powers-that-be may produce more of that of which we both say we are fans, but with more of the aspects others like and less of what I enjoy So the only way I can protect what I enjoy is to keep others who do not agree with me from enjoying anything about that of which I am a Real Fan Or become a multi trillionaire, buy all the rights and and royalties, and sign every essential writer, producer, director, technician, and actor to a iron-clad, insanely long term, contract . . . . On the other hand . . . If I become a multi trillionaire, I think I can learn to tolerate whatever Hollywood happens to produce without sinking my fortune into the La Brea Tar Pit

https://www.egscomics.com/egsnp/forreals-12 So it doesn't matter why someone likes something, or what specifically they like about something As long as that person is enthusiastic about what they like, they are a fan - - - I am certain that all real fans of EGS will agree with this completely And anyone who disagrees is not a real fan

https://www.egscomics.com/egsnp/forreals-09 Can you like some aspect of something without being a fan? Can two fans of something enjoy different aspects of that thing? For example, I am a fan of Cecil B DeMille's 1956 epic The Ten Commandments I also enjoyed the Book on which it was based There are people who do not share my opinion of the Book who did like the movie Which of us are not the real fans?

https://www.egscomics.com/comic/balance-068 The start of Balance, part 3 Or what should have been Part Not 2-B So has Tedd simply been swayed by the nice grandfather figure with a fancy gift? Or is Tedd realizing that if others have different (even opposing) beliefs, goals, and methods to your own, they can still be good people?
