NP Comic for Tuesday March 29, 2022 'Celebrity drama' is apparently referring to Chris Rock and Will Smith at the Oscars. It was a topic at work today. Both are decent actors, in the right context, and have done justice to some films. Chris has some really funny standup as well. Makes me wonder what actors hit Dan's 'I care' radar? Can't say I'm really big on following Hollywood either, but I wouldn't dis them. I don't think 'getting to the bottom of this' is a real thing; people are bottomless pits of drama.

Comic for Friday March 18, 2022 That blob of light that ran into the barrier appears to have griffin features, wings and feet, but is maybe larger? It's still glowing, and it looks like the barrier is down.

NP Comic Thursday March 17, 2022 My conclusion is that mouths work differently in the EGS universe, they form when needed and often disappear. Oh, and Grace is bi. There's a news flash.

Comic for Wednesday March 16, 2022 Defecation at that moment manifested in their perception of reality, evidenced by Edward's uncustomary use of the letter 'F' and a long ash. Edward gives evidence of knowing what he's doing, preparing to stop what amounts to an animated creature looking glowing thing bearing not just a bit of resemblance to a runaway freight train. Grace and Elliot give evidence of not yet being quite adult, at least momentarily abandoning the plan, and Elliot spouting a distracting 'Hey' that could have potentially proved lethal for the three of them if Edward had been sufficiently distracted by it. This thing looks like it would be difficult for both griffins to take on. They are probably not dead, for story reasons, but may be injured. Is this a hippo? I might have thought fireball, except it's breaking trees as it crashes by them. I guess in hindsight, the worried buildup was justified.

NP Comic Saturday March 12, 2022 Seems that Grace is opting to toss aside the request to not be overly affectionate at school and appear gay. Ellen does not seem to recall that she made the request. Of course, actively pursuing the rumor goes above and beyond. But maybe it reflects not yet manifested desires? Grace ships herself and/or Tedd with many people. Ellen and Nanase are a stable couple, especially for high school, but both are often led to 'think about baseball' fairly often. See, Conan, that's what you get for parlaying with an alien intelligence, you're never exactly on the same page, are you? It would probably help you if you knew that's what you were doing.

Comic for Wednesday March 9, 2022 I read Grace's overly positive attitude (given that the experienced folks have concerns) as foreshadowing trouble involving her. We do not know the griffins' attitudes regarding such hybrids, they may view them as aberrations. They may have a war going on with their aliens. They may know Grace is a counterpart to General Shade Tail, and have a major problem with that. Or, it could be that Edward and Elliot's lack of trust is an issue. I'm glad that this meeting is happening and moving the plot along.

Comic for Monday, February 14, 2022 I think this is the first time Edward's met Ashley, and he didn't skip a beat. Neither did she. I am assuming glow lines around Grace only indicate emotion, not actual glowing. Looking forward to some Edward exposition next comic. I hope he explains why he is so afraid of the griffins. We are not likely to see why in-comic, unless it ends badly, which is not a thing in EGS. Also, for the griffins, they could bring Kevin along for safety. It the griffins begin behaving aggressively, they deploy Kevin, the griffins die laughing, and everyone is safe (except said griffins).

Comic for Wednesday February 16, 2022 Perky squirrel! Edward seems to have a personality change in this comic, looses his opinions. Maybe not a bad thing? Most of the comic is Tedd stressing about talking to their dad.

NP Comic Tuesday February 8, 2022 It was a powerful spike, but does knocking yourself out really count as a win? Less power, more control would be better. A spike that powerful is a safety hazard. FWIW, I'm guessing the ball would have survived if this happened in real life. The impact areas are broad, exactly what the ball can handle best.

NP Comic Saturday February 5, 2022 He's just jumping right into the competition. Grace on the other hand has abandoned her resolve and reverted to being indecisive, not even having a goal. The spiked ball should have already hit the ground by now. If panel 3 was going to happen, it should have been when big guy first appeared. Now is not the time. Regarding Dan's concern about the size of a volleyball in the commentary, the size of the ball in panel 1 looks about right. It is on the smallish side for a two handed inflated ball.

NP Comic Thursday February 3, 2022 Grace and the guy have basically positive attitudes. "Let's see who's right." I don't see why emoji-face has to interject. She's not even involved. She's kind of pointless and annoying. The coach is being flexible, letting them settle this, and may be interested in the results for the school team. I think Dan is avoiding assigning names because he tends to elevate named characters, and already has a lot. Guessing that he wants to keep these disposable. Kudos, do what works for you. Emoji-faced girl literally has emoji eyes in the last panel. Her basic appearance looks familiar, but I think she's an entirely new synergy of similar characters. //( > < )\\ m O m I think the coach could be a good adult character. I suppose we'll see more of her for a couple of comics.
