  1. 1/12/19 - All for Knot

TheHeroesOfCRASH.com Necros has escaped, but at least someone's getting the PUNishment he deserves...! Looks like Belt Boy was about to get the last lick in, but Necros pulled a "Ninja Vanish". Longtime fans and archive-bingers may remember that Necros used that smoke bomb to escape from his first encounter with heroes of C.R.A.S.H. (Yay! Title drop!). The first panel was the most fun to draw, and my favorite in this week's strip. A simple pose, but still dramatic. Belt Boy's patented Wrapper Ropes of Righteousness were easy to sketch; I used different thicknesses of pencil tools, gradually growing larger and larger, to make sure that the thickness of the ropes were consistent. My least favorite panel to draw was that last one; Unk is a pretty big character for such a small panel, and drawing him turning at the waist proved a challenge. I was originally only going to have Unk and Jackknife in the panel, but I felt as though it looked too empty. I was going to add in Sugar Rush, but I decided Gelatin Boy deserved a laugh (or at least a stifled chuckle) at Jackknife's expense. Adding the three of them to panel 2 in silhouette form was also a last-minute choice to fill up some empty space.
  2. http://TheHeroesOfCRASH.com Necros gets a taste of his own medicine as our heroes fight him together! He may be tough, but he's outnumbered, and he's left them an opening. But will that be enough to take him down? Stay tuned, faithful readers! Instead of traditional onomatopoeia as sound effects for each attack, I opted to name each attack instead, kind of like the text that pops up in Fairly Oddparents cartoons (which is appropriate, as the show did inspire my comic... even if Hartman seems to have gone a bit off the deep end since then). I had fun playing with the lettering; it was less like writing and more like drawing, with each "font" drawing inspiration from the attacking hero or the attack itself Dino-Mo's "Tail Slam" has pointy letters, reminiscent of a bent dinosaur tail; the letters and background have reptilian-inspired colors. "Dodgeball Barrage" is written on dodgeballs with a yellow background, evoking Dodge's color scheme. Enticia has muted pinks and elegant letters (almost rose-colored, like her civilian namesake) for her "Platform Kick"; more blacks and grays to match her shoes wouldn't contrast with her and Necros well enough. "Cannon Fire" is quick and to the point, with no frills, like Cannon himself and his rapid-fire blasts, with (what else?) a green and purple color scheme. Sugar Rush's volley of "Fury Punches" are accompanied by fist-shaped letters, with muted reds to stand apart a little from her bright red gloves. Jackknife's "Scythe Slash" has letters as pointy as his weapon and green as his outfit, plus they arc in the direction of his attack. Unk's "UNK-ppercut" highlights the awful play on words, which admittedly says more about my style than his, but at least keeps his color scheme. I was initially going to have Unk put the squeeze on Necros again, but I wanted to add a different attack to his repertoire. I also didn't want to have too much of Unk show up in the panel; it would break up the pattern of each panel focusing on Necros and the attack itself. And finally, Titanium Maiden's "Titanium Clothesline" has metal lettering (suggesting titanium, of course), which contrasts nicely with her signature shade of pink in the background. That's a total of eight attacks; the only characters who aren't attacking in this strip are Gelatin Boy (Whose sweat already helped in the previous strip, and who lacks any actual "attacks" anyway) and Belt Boy. Whether or not he plans to take any action remains to be seen, for now...! By the way, I'm always happy to hear feedback from my readers; which panel was your favorite in today's strip? Leave me a comment! I also appreciate it when you share my comic, so please share this post!
  3. TheHeroesOfCRASH.com Making Necros look foolish is no easy feat, but walking on gelatin is easy for no feet. Although Necros is formidable, his biggest weakness - like that of many villains - is underestimating his opponents. And with a goofy group such as this crew, is it any wonder he's underestimated them? This strip took shorter to create than my last strip, largely because it has fewer people. I admittedly set up this strip to be quicker to draw, which is why I employed a few tricks. A close-up in panel one, showing only one character in panel two, having background characters with no color (which also had the bonus effect of downplaying their presence without ignoring them) in panel 3, and a black sillhouette in panel 4. By the way, if you look closely at panel 3, you'll see that Cannon has his eyes on that gelatin puddle, and a knowing grin on his face...!
  4. 12/8/18 - Spare the Speech

http://TheHeroesOfCRASH.com "We can do this the easy way, or Belt Boy can start rambling again." Belt Boy and Cannon are both largely based on different aspects of myself (although my best friend Chris is also a strong influence on Cannon). Belt Boy represents my creativity and my optimism, while Cannon represents my sense of wit and my sarcasm. It's kind of funny seeing aspects of my personality clash against each other; I'm pretty sure that last panel sums up what happens in my head when I catch myself talking too much. That first panel took forever; It wasn't easy to fit all those characters in there, overlapping each other in such a way that they didn't look too jumbled together. The last time I drew this many characters was only a little over a dozen strips ago, but they were arranged in a straight line, so drawing this panel was a bit more daring. I enjoy playing with the thicknesses of lines and outlines to make characters seem closer and further away; the first and last panels are proof of that. :-)
  5. TheHeroesOfCRASH.com Getting rescued by Jackknife is a cold comfort to Gelatin Boy. Then again, maybe that's too harsh. It's colder than lukewarm comfort, and "cool comfort" sounds too positive. Ah, forget it. The metaphor's clashing with the title for this strip, anyway. Had some fun with the shadows on this strip. While the light sources may not be 100% realistic, they at least give the bottom panels a sense of depth. Jackknife's blades can take on different shapes, which is why the one he used here is needle-shaped, rather than shark-fin-shaped. He can shape them as long as they're still in his arm; if he ejects them, they're stuck in their shape, and his arm reloads instantly. He's previously shaped his blades into scythes and boomerangs.
  6. 11/24/18 - Swiping and 'Splosions

TheHeroesOfCRASH.com Seems Belt Boy forgot one teensy little detail when he was sharing his plan. Not sure what Cannon's excuse was, seeing as he sustained his head injury (Strip number 718, dated 9/22/18) in the fight AFTER Belt Boy already shared his plan. So long as we're looking at previous strips for clues, no one seemed to notice seeing Gelatin Boy sneak in between Unk and Necros in the last panel of strip number 721 (Dated 10/31/18), nor the fact that the portal disc hasn't been seen since. Gelatin Boy really is a great spy! By the way, if you've been enjoying this strip, please show it some love and share it with your friends!
  7. TheHeroesOfCRASH.com Enticia didn't want Necros to flip over her THAT way... or DID she? There's a bit that I could comment on here, but I won't, because I don't want to spoil things. Sometimes it's fun playing with the paint effects, whether it's using transparency to create a glowy effect in panel two, or different paintbrushes to make streaks of color in panel three. I'm quite pleased how this strip turned out, especially those panels. Previously, I indicated whispering by using a dotted line for word balloons. But that was back when I drew the comic in Flash. Now that I'm using Manga Studio (Or is it Clip Studio Paint, now? I'm not sure, because I got the physical copy, not the download), there's pre-made word balloon tools, which don't include dotted lines. So now, I'm using gray to make the words seem faded and hushed.
  8. TheHeroesOfCRASH.com Unk's no fool... but he's sure feeling like one right now. Because of his unusual name, large stature, and laid-back attitude, many assume that he's simple-minded, but that's hardly the case (He's very much like Titanium Maiden in that regard). However, Necros is taking advantage of the fact that Unk has never matched wits with him. Flailing about in a desperate manner to lure Unk into a false sense of security, then making a humble request that tricked Unk into lowering his head into position... Necros adapts to new situations pretty well. If Unk, Belt Boy, and the rest of our heroes want to stop them, they're going to need to maintain the element of surprise, which is easier said than done. The Collective of Heroes recently had a Halloween art trade! It's like a Secret Santa, minus the secrecy. Dan (creator of the webcomic Vanguard) gifted me a picture of Belt Boy with a pumpkin, while I drew Shane (creator of Heroes of the World and Beyond) a picture of Cybat. After you check out these pictures, you can check out their comics via the Collective of Heroes widget on my site!
  9. TheHeroesOfCRASH.com When you threaten those close to Enticia and she brings out the glowy eyes, you KNOW you're in trouble. Enticia often comes across as self-centered - and maybe she deserves that to some extent - but she's fiercely loyal to those who can get past her seemingly shallow exterior. It's obvious that she's protective of her family (especially her little sister, Daisy), but this moment shows just how much she values her friendship with Belt Boy. However, it shouldn't be terribly surprising when you think about it. Enticia's allowed herself to be vulnerable to him and his team. She first opened up to Cannon near the end of The Dating Scheme. In the Van-Ishing Act storyline, she was forthright with Titanium Maiden about needing help, looking her in the eye with total honesty. Finally, after baring her soul to the entire team about her deeply personal origin story, she entrusted Belt Boy to take a blood sample from her (And you don't just trust ANYONE with drawing blood!). Makes you wonder if our main trio may even be closer to her than her boyfriends...!
  10. http://TheHeroesOfCRASH.com Unk used Bear Hug! It's Super Effective! Necros may be quick enough to backflip over Sugar Rush at a moment's notice (He might have taken the hit if Belt Boy hadn't felt the need to tip him off with his "phone a friend" quip), but he's not strong enough to break free from Unk's grasp, especially when Unk's tall enough to pick him up off the ground. And the party's just getting started...! If you clicked on my site, you probably noticed a new button beside the logo. That's because The Heroes of C.R.A.S.H. has joined The Collective of Heroes - a webcomic community for superhero-themed webcomics! If you click that button on my page, you'll be presented with some cool new webcomics to check out (NOTE: Some of them are quite a bit more mature than my squeaky-clean comic, so please be aware if you're at work or if there's young'uns around). I hope you'll give it a click (especially since I spent about two hours trying to get the button's widget to look right on my page!) - I highly recommend Grrl Power, Gyno-Star, and Miss Melee, all of which can also be found on my Links page with descriptions. Whatever you click on, give 'em a visit, and tell them that Josh from TheHeroesOfCRASH.com sent ya'! FUN FACTOID: My webcomic is the second comic to have been a part of both the 910CMX community and the Collective of Heroes, the first being Grrl Power.
  11. TheHeroesOfCRASH.com NOTE: I seem to be having trouble accessing my website and uploading the latest comic; I'm posting it directly to social media in the meantime. I'll keep you all updated as I work to resolve this issue. It seems that Necros didn't count on Belt Boy having more friends around! So far, he's only seen Cannon, Dodge, and Dino-Mo. He only caught a glimpse of Sugar Rush, mistaking her for Belt Boy in my May 12th comic. Necros also seems to have misjudged Belt Boy's acting skills; he's been cool as a cucumber this whole time. Well, most of the time - he figured Necros might be able to fight Dino-Mo, but he didn't count on that taser-glove. It was a bit of (sorry for the obvious pun I'm about to make) a shock. Now that Belt Boy has regained the element of surprise, how is he going to use it? Tune in next week and every week, folks!
  12. http://TheHeroesOfCRASH.com I didn't use an electricity pun for the title? Shocking! Belt Boy may be known for his gadgets, but Necros seems to have plenty of fun toys at his disposal, too. He has the Necrobots, smoke bombs, portal discs, and now taser-gloves! What else does he have up his sleeves? There were a few ways I could have drawn the electricity in the final panel. I decided to make it blue, so that the bright bolts would pop out against a darker shade of the same hue. I made the bolts jagged and cartoony, rather than being too fluid; I thought this looked more painful. There are some skinnier, fluid bolts on Dino-Mo's body, but they merely supplement the larger bolts for visual effect. By the way, remember how Ken Bailey won my Fanart Contest earlier this year and won the right to choose the next HoC desktop (and later did another picture of one of my heroes just for funsies)? Well, I'm still working on his request. But, I felt that while he was waiting - especially since he did that extra picture - it was only right that I do a drawing of one of his characters in the meantime (and besides, drawing other people's characters in my style is fun)! My version of EnergyGirl has a physique that isn't as bulky as that of Titanium Maiden, but she's still got more muscles than most of my comic's cast, male and female alike. Her eyes retain their basic shape, but has otherwise been tweaked to fit my style better. Her hairstyle is a composite based on several she's had in the past. I also made her three trademark freckles a subtle, dull brown. Ken enjoyed this, and I hope you do, too!
  13. Comic 9/22/18 - A Little Umbled Jup

TheHeroesOfCRASH.com Necros could probably do the slo-mo Matrix dodge, but doesn't respect most opponents enough to let them see a move that cool. While I've been trying to do a better job with my characters' proportions and anatomy, it's been more fun employing another art skill I've been working on: the Line of Action. A good example is that top right panel, where Necros is flipping Cannon and Dodge, causing them to travel in an arc. I get to break the rules of anatomy, turning Cannon and Dodge's arms into rubber and their legs into streaks as they soar across the panel. It's a lot of fun to draw and to look at. Initially, I drew Necros grabbing Cannon by his purple sleeve, but I changed it when I saw that it was easier to draw (and probably more practical) to have Necros grab him by his cannon in the following panel. I nearly let Cannon make a reference to "drain bamage", borrowing a line from Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People, but I wasn't sure how to use that line so that it felt more like paying homage than stealing.
  14. TheHeroesOfCRASH.com Necros makes a deduction regarding Belt Boy's strategy. There's more I want to say about that, as well as some of the visuals in this comic, but that would be giving away spoilers, and as Cannon points out, no one likes a spoil-sport. So I'll just need to hold my tongue. It's no secret that I like to give each panel its own color to emphasize the mood or the character it portrays. Sometimes, I'll do what I did in today's strip, and have the colors slowly transition, from a dull red to a medium orange to a bright yellow. I even colored the arrows to support that transition. As one final note, I'd like to say that it's good to be working on story comics again. I've enjoyed my two-week vacation and setting up the contest with a two-part filler, but a month without stories is a long time, even when you only update once a week. Hope you're as happy to have my heroes back as I am!
  15. TheHeroesOfCRASH.com Belt Boy's back, and so are his bad jokes! And it looks like he's pushing Necros' buttons now. But does he have a cunning enough plan to back up his quips? I'm glad I added in last week's strip, which I hadn't initially scripted. I was initially going to cut straight from Belt Boy addressing everyone about having them as backup to this comic, but I felt that the story would flow better if the audience knew he had some sort of plan, even if they weren't entirely sure what it was. If I didn't have Belt Boy talking to everyone and had more of the story through Necros' point of view, perhaps I could have made Belt Boy's having a plan be a total surprise reveal, but not the way I was writing things. Gonna be honest; in addition to it being easier to do, I like the aesthetic of having one panel not include any background or borders, like I did for the third panel of today's strip. I actually did the same thing two story strips ago. I made a goof in last week's strip; I forgot to give Belt Boy his black eye and cut on his face that I'd given him for the last few strips. Oopsie! It's been corrected now if you check my site.
  16. TheHeroesOfCRASH.com Gelatin Boy may be slippery and silent, but he's got a few things to learn about being a spy...! Necros may not have quite as many gadgets as Belt Boy, but given that he created the Necrobots, is it any surprise he's got a holographic watch in his gloves? In case you were wondering, yes - Sugar Rush's face in the fourth panel IS a reference to the meme-ified Yellow Diamond "You CLOD!" face. Her expression looked a bit different before, but when I noticed it looked a little bit like Yellow Diamond, I decided to take it a bit further. It's a bit subtle, but I'm proud of the way I drew Dino-Mo in the last panel, with her leaning to one side, and having her hands be asymmetrical. I'm trying to get a bit more inventive with my poses, and I think it makes her look a bit livelier. Sorry for this being a relatively late update for the second week in a row; technical difficulties combined with my working and sleeping odd hours this week have complicated my webcomic work schedule a bit. I think things should be back to normal next week *knock on wood*, when my work schedule becomes a bit more regular.
  17. TheHeroesOfCRASH.com Villains have a way of making the most harmless-sounding words seem menacing. What on earth could "The Playground" be? And why is Necros so sure that Belt Boy's friends won't be able to follow him? Stay tuned, everyone! I don't want to spoil too much, so don't expect a huge explanation on this week's strip. But I will tell you this; "The Playground" is a fairly recent name I came up with for something I had a vague idea of for a long while. I think that this new name will solidify some of my ideas, and I look forward to implementing them. Also, "teeter-totter" is a funny word. Tee-hee! We're in the home stretch of my annual contest! You have until May 19th to send me either fan art or a video game avatar based on my characters! If you were waiting until the last minute, this is it! Remember that EVERY properly submitted entry will earn you a prize of some sort in the form of art from yours truly, so everyone wins something!
  18. http://TheHeroesOfCRASH.com Necros tries to deduce how Belt Boy slipped away. Perhaps if Necros took Belt Boy's friends the least bit seriously, he'd have gathered intel on 'em and know who was responsible for his foe's escape. Sharp-eyed readers may notice a subtle shadow in the first and third panels, but it's probably nothing... Quick reminder: there's LESS THAN A MONTH LEFT to enter my art trade/contest! I'd like fan art for my birthday next month, and if you submit it according to the rules on my website, you're GUARANTEED some art in return! If I like your submission enough, you may win one of my two grand prizes! Check out the full rules by clicking the big button on my main page, beneath the latest comic!
  19. Comic 4/7/18 - "Halloweenie"

TheHeroesOfCRASH.com Dodge isn't just a jock; he's also a fashion critic. But Necros can hurl more than dodgeballs and quips...! I'm not sure which I came up with first: Necros or the Necrobots. I honestly wish I could say I remembered how I came up with Necros' design, or why I decided on a skeletal theme, but I don't. However, they do remind me of a previous villain I drew up. When I was in junior high school, I came up with a superhero named Sidney the Mutant Scarab Beetle (I may put some form of him in the comic someday... unless you count a low-detail version of his face appearing on the top-left comic book cover in this strip: http://www.theheroesofcrash.com/2010Strip04-06.htm ). His foe was a mad scientist spider named Dr. Achnid, who had an army of spider-bots. The spider-bots resemebled their creator, much like the Necrobots resemble Necros with their triangular eyes, stripes, and skeletal theme. They used to look a bit more humanoid like Necros, too, until I changed their design to look scarier and more animal-like. The top three panels' backgrounds were initially a bit more sparse. When I saw how dull they looked, I added gradients to the first two panels. I didn't want to add a background, lest it distract from the action, so I used the gradients to bring focus to it instead. The dark edges of panel 3 were the result of me experimenting with a spray-paint tool in my program that I'd never tried before... I liked how it looked, and stuck with it. By the way, if you've been enjoying my comic, why not enter my contest? All you need to do is some artwork or a video game avatar based on my characters, submit them by May 19th, and you'll get some art in return! If your entry is the best, you may get a grand prize! The full rules are at TheHeroesOfCRASH.com, so check them out!
  20. Comic 3/24/18 - Surprise, Surprise!

TheHeroesOfCRASH.com Necros isn't the only one with surprises...! Like I said, if Necros does have a stereotypical villain weakness, it's that he enjoys monologuing, but he's able to keep himself from going too far. Necros has no intention of revealing his entire plan to our hero. He gives Belt Boy just enough information to play off his fears. I asked some people on Twitter who were discussing onomatopoeia what the proper sound effect for a dodgeball would be. I got "Poonk" and "Bont", but I don't think that the sound would end in a letter as hard as K or T. In the end, I went with my original idea: "Poomp". What do you think? Is there a better sound effect for a dodgeball hitting something? Leave me a comment and let me know! Just a quick reminder; there's less than two months to enter my contest! The full directions and rules are on my site, but essentially, if you make a video game avatar or some fan art based on my characters, you get some free art by me! And the best avatar and the best art will each get a special grand prize! I haven't received any entries yet, so now's a great time to enter, yourself!
  21. TheHeroesOfCRASH.com Necros isn't doing Belt Boy any favors, even if it is a villian tradition to offer some courtesies for the hero. While I don't mind the occasional cliche, gimmick, or typical plot device in media, I find it's a lot more fun to subvert expectations and turn cliches on their ear. Take Titanium Maiden, for example. It's a common cliche for the main heroine in a group to be a love interest who's feminine and wears pink, and Titanium Maiden is no exception there. But she doesn't look like a typical heroine; she looks more like a bodybuilder than a supermodel or the girl-next-door. Furthermore, muscular characters are often stereotyped as being brutish, dumb, or savage, and usually male... and TM is none of these. By combining two popular tropes that don't go together, I created a character that's more interesting than either one by itself. She's not the typical heroine, nor is she the typical strong character, and that makes her fun to work with. Necros, however, doesn't twist cliches around or enjoy playing with them; he outright rejects them. Necros is no-nonsense; he prefers to be effective and to the point, which is why he finds the "honorable villain" tradition of granting a hero a last request to be ridiculous. He cares more about winning than being honorable or dramatic. He sees no reason to do anything nice for his enemy - heck, as a bad guy, he sees no reason to do anything nice at all. If he has one cliche weakness, it's his tendency to monologue (partly because of his own ego, and partly because he enjoys taunting Belt Boy), but he'd never own up to it. And to be fair, Necros does dial back his monologues compared to other villains. He hasn't even revealed his entire plan or his "endgame" to Belt Boy just yet, whereas most other baddies might go full-"Bond villain" and explain the entirety of their plan and goals, and possibly their motivations. Necros enjoys playing with Belt Boy a bit and keeping him in the dark to a degree, but largely his reasons for not explaining everything are strategic. 22. TheHeroesOfCRASH.com Observant readers might be able to solve how TM and Cannon figured out where Belt Boy is. Can you? Have you been paying attention to the story and dialogue so far? If your detective skills aren't up to snuff, don't worry; I will reveal how they figured it out within this storyline, so stay tuned! Not much to say about the art for today's strip, but I do have a little bit of trivia: the streets of "Warburton/Hirsh" are named after the creators of Codename: Kids Next Door and Gravity Falls, respectively. Because I'm an animation nerd. And proud of it. This is the 700th canonical HoC strip! Woo-hoo! Hope you enjoyed the last 700 comics, and that you enjoyed the next 700! If you want to help me celebrate, why not contribute some art to my annual contest? Remember, the rules are on my main page, and ANYONE who submits a drawing or a game avatar based on my characters will get a prize! But there's only two GRAND prizes, so make 'em good! Check out the full rules on my website!
  23. Comic 3/3/18 - Sticks and Stones

TheHeroesOfCRASH.com Normally B.O.N.N.I.E. trusts Belt Boy's plans, but to be fair, his judgement has been a bit off today... I've always drawn B.O.N.N.I.E. with sharp angles; I envision her as looking like Nintendo 64-style graphics. I think I may have been inspired by the opening to Super Mario 64, where you get to play around with Mario's abnormally-stretchy face. Not sure how stretchy B.O.N.N.I.E.'s face is, but no one's been terribly curious about that (yet...). If you've been following me on social media (and you should!), you know two things: first, I haven't been promoting my comic as regularly as usual this week, and second, that today's update is a bit late. To address the first issue, it's because the filler this week was regarding my cousin's passing. I felt a bit weird about reblogging that announcement all week, especially along with my contest announcement. Didn't feel right to me. As far as the lateness of today's update, it's because some winter weather briefly knocked out our power yesterday, and I decided not to turn my computer back on to complete my comic until the wind subsided. Well, better late than never; my comic's back up, and I didn't even lose the entire day! Anyway, just in case you've already forgotten, I want to remind you that I have my annual fan art contest, and EVERYONE who submits a valid entry gets a prize! Check out the rules by clicking the button on my main page!
  24. Comic 10/14/17 - Snowball's Chance

TheHeroesOfCRASH.com Still trying to regain access to my site. Between work, my comic, and Inktober, I haven't had much time to fix the problem, but I'm working on it. At least I can still post on social media, and I have some time freed up this weekend *Knock on wood*. *UPDATE* My site is updateable again! I spoke with my webhosting call center and got things taken care of. This week's comic and last week's comic are on the site right now. :-) Anyway, in today's comic, Belt Boy's friends continue their search, unaware that he's a good distance away from the school, with Necros gloating over him. Will they find him? Stay tuned, readers! You might look at the next-to-last panel and think that Necros' Necrobots are behind him. You might look and think that the shadow is Belt Boy imagining the Nightmare Necros he saw in his bad dream from the previous night. Well, it's honestly kinda both. Those are, indeed, Necros' Necrobots (the shape lacks Necros' eye scar, and the neck and head don't look all skeletal), but it is supposed to remind you of Nightmare Necros. Quite the spooky coincidence for Belt Boy!
  25. Comic 10/7/17 - Headphony

TheHeroesOfCRASH.com A head's up; at the time of this initial posting (Early Saturday morning, after midnight), I am unable to connect to the website, so I'm just posting this week's comic to social media for now. I'm going to try again tomorrow; perhaps my site is being finicky (I'm hoping that's the case, *Knock on wood*). In this week's strip, Belt Boy seems to have underestimated Necros. Either he's not thinking straight after lots of stress and repeated blows to the head, or he's activated his own gadgets' self-destruct mechanisms by mistake in the past. Or both. Either seems pretty likely. Like me, Belt Boy's not good at lying. Still, he totally has his own mix of superhero theme music, so he could turn it on right away and make it so he's not lying. Might also be good for him to listen to my "Playlist of C.R.A.S.H." that I created on Spotify (And that a fan re-created on YouTube) last summer. If you're new to my comic and haven't listened to my playlist, I highly recommend looking it up on either site!
