Looking at the Patreon HD version, the squirrel features are clearly missing, I made mention of it on patreon. I know you're making a pun here, but it is canon that there's a one thousand percent chance that she would "take a peek" after being transformed with a new form. So I'd say this is totally in character for her.
  2. Story Wednesday, November 29, 2017

It's still a shame that it doesn't happen in Vulcan, Alberta. That would be soo meta. "Vulcans! Welcome to Vulcan!!"
  3. Story Wednesday, November 29, 2017

I wasn't referring to the "lights in the sky" bit as evidence of them being on the road for a while (if that's what you're referring to with the UFO part), just that Ashley waking up in the middle of a conversation is an indication of them having been on the road for a while. As for what road their on, we really have no idea where they're going, obviously to where the diamond is, but there's a good chance it's been moved, and the lack of background makes it hard to determine if they are still in town or out of town.
  4. Syndicate of Colour 2

I wasn't sure if HarJIT's original thread was exempt from the necroposting rule or not, it has been inactive for nearly a year now, so I'm making a new one. Mainly because I had some inspiration to colour a panel of the recent NP . I was actually pretty lucky as I had thought the original thread had been lost with the old forums and it had the tricks HarJIT gave to being able to colour a greyscale image in GIMP. Anyway I had posted it in Discord, but am posting it here too for people not on discord or not willing to scroll through hundreds of messages to find it. Edit: Forgot the colour the blushes, fixed it.

And there's probably not a greasemonkey fix for mobile is there?
  6. Story Wednesday, November 29, 2017

I think Ashley might have been asleep for more than half an hour, Magus and Sirleck had to get her into the car and they seemed to have been driving for a little bit before she woke up, we could have rewound an hour back, maybe more. Yeah, definitely not as subtle as he was New Years Eve, I wonder why? Not really, Justin considered it, but decided he didn't want to prejudice Susan. I agree that I don't think Diane would leave Susan, but perhaps she would try to reason with Susan to leave? To take cover and call for help? I don't think they would leave either, I do wonder if Jerry will mention that the vampires are going after Adrian, I'm sure that would make them want to stay and help even more. I wonder if he'll blurt out the possible relation between them like "vampires are attacking your grandfather!!' Jerry didn't wear a hat when Susan first met him, and she hadn't seen his new incarnation, but I'm willing to bet that Diane will recognize him. That relation would result in pasta-antipasta annihilation. Sadly the are some people who would try to control their partner's diet or fashion or whatever in order to maintain the appeal for being in the relationship, it's kinda disturbing to think that a number of Diane's dates were like that though and we do have evidence of one in particular.
  7. Story: Monday Nov 27, 2017

There could also have been rewrites of certain parts in later printings, but original copies might have slipped past DGB or other organizations. Thing is, Helena and Demetrius aren't french, they followed Magus to France, got reset there, and when their new selves respawned in France, they picked up the language before returning to Moperville, they might have been posing as exchange students when we first saw them. Point is, their previous selves should have known that what's considered military age in other countries would not apply to Susan and Nanase.
  8. Story: Monday Nov 27, 2017

Nanase didn't take the idea of the two Immortals getting Andrea to kill vampires very well, Susan likely still has strong feeling about it too. And while it has been a week since Diane was attacked (compared to a few hours after Susan was attack) having Helena and Demetrius show up and be like "hey, we heard you were attacked by a vampire before, well, there's more of them in this mall so you could be in danger. We could give you the ability to fight them if you want." wouldn't be much different from Susan's perspective.
  9. Things You Only Noticed On Reread

Easy explanation: Mom's the one with the money. Perfectly consistent with Dad gettin' his lovin' on the side. The idea is that after France, Nanase and Susan barely kept in contact, Susan had said they didn't really get along during the majority of the trip, they had to work together to fight the vampire, but then afterwards they didn't really want anything to do with one another but kept their contacts as a "just in case" considering what they learned during the trip. When Susan called up Nanase to help with the goo, she called Nanase a slut, and Nanase (after hanging up) called Susan a "biz-atch". Then when Ellen invited Susan to join them for movie watch, Nanase didn't like the idea of Susan's suggestion of going to her house instead of Ellen's, right there with the "what's so great about your house anyway?" remark should be an indication that Nanase had never been to Susan's house before. Nanase's comment "Susan's leading us into the Snoot Creak Subdivision?" came off as surprise that Susan lived in that neighbour hood, but she then added "I guess I shouldn't be surprised, given the size of that TV she mentioned and three guest rooms..." The reason Nanase decided that she needed to talk to Susan about her being bothered by her attraction to Ellen, was because she was afraid of how Ellen or Justin would react, and she didn't really enjoy the idea of talking to Susan about it either but Susan was her best choice out of the three, it wasn't because of any bond between then, it was purely circumstantial, but it did lead to actual bonding.
  10. Story: Monday Nov 27, 2017

Yeah, I think Magus deliberately isn't telling Sirleck that the info he got about Adrian's Immortal parent is false, so that Sirleck would end up facing the wrath of Pandora, though Magus is kinda at risk as well if Pandora decides he's at fault for letting Sirleck go through with it. I know Pandora's probably thinking she should go easy on Magus since she put him through hell with this whole plan and the way she left him hanging, but she might forget all that in her rage if Adrian died. There is usually bonus for backstabbing in RPGs. Also, I totally expect they would offer to mark her even if it wouldn't help in this encounter. They'd have to get through Susan first, and I'm betting Jerry2.0 is nearby as well, although....and I'm not entirely sure if it's possible given his current age (and it does make me wonder if it's possible given Helena and Demetrius' current age too) that he could even do so, it would be interesting if he ended up offering to mark Diane, and then later realize he just did what Helena and Demetrius did to Susan back in France. Grace is apparently capable and willing as well. Noah might also be able. Like I said, Sirleck is a different flavour of aberration, though still it might be different for each individual aberration. like the 3 that we saw earlier, plus the spider vampire, might have used different methods themselves. I was hinting at the idea of Voltaire maybe fitting the bill as such an Immortal if it didn't break Immortal laws to guide people to becoming aberrations. Though if doing so as a trap would be tricky since they would have to have a vampire hunter or someone capable on hand to deal with it, not sure if it'd be worth the trouble, but as you said, there might have been unsuccessful attempts. Given what Pandora said earlier about the lack of written knowledge about magic since the last reset, it'd likely be very difficult to find anything written down about how to become a vampire, though I honestly wouldn't be surprised if there was a case of a method being written in Bram Stoker's Dracula or something that would normally not be taken seriously by the majority of people but a few did. That A Team didn't have Mr T.

Possible, and it was "programmed" to integrate into Ellen's memory over the course of a week.
  12. NP Monday November 27, 2017

Like the attracted attempt to dive-tackle the attractive, but the attractive dodges and soo the attracted slides/rolls/tumbles past.
  13. NP Monday November 27, 2017

I think what Dan wanted to avoid with the attraction mechanic was if an attracted player was 5 spaces away from the atractive player and rolled a 7, they would move 6 spaces towards the attractive player which would take them 1 space past, but then move once more to land on the atractive player's space. This would give the other players an easy chance to steal the attractive player's spaces, so instead, Dan made it so that if the attracted rolled a number that was greater than the number of spaces between them and the attractive player, then they'd overshoot and then the next turn, if the attractive player is still attractive, then they'd move towards them again.
  14. Story: Monday Nov 27, 2017

Immortals generally hate aberrations so, so unless an Immortal goes completely off kilter and grants someone with the knowledge...I dunno if that would be breaking Immortal law though, but who knows. It might have been something yearned for though, started of as a kind of mind control type spell, used it a number of times while wishing they could do more, then suddenly they're able to take full possession. Maybe it's similar to how Nanase can take possession of her fairy dolls, by sending her consciousness into it, a body snatcher could probably do the same to another person, but for body snatchers like Sirleck, their original body probably died long ago and their consciousness manifested into a new form.
  15. Story: Monday Nov 27, 2017

I was right in that the attack was already underway during all this and that Dan would do a rewind to show it. I believe we saw 3 vampires so far, so there's 3 more yet to show up. And Magus said Moperville is loaded with people capable of killing vampires too? Are we talking the Paranormal Division, or are vampire hunters more common? Edward's description certainly fits vampires, but body snatchers are a different flavour of aberration, and as we saw with Francine, body snatchers don't need to kill their hosts. They'd be like parasites, the host might appear to have an increased appetite while being possessed, I bet when the old man's coworkers, or who ever, learn of his death, they'll probably be like "but he seemed to be so healthy the past 8 months, we actually though he was on his way out back then but he managed to bounce back...though I'm not sure his secretary appreciated the requests to dance for him..." Though it is interesting to hear the motivation for Sirleck to become an aberration, it fits what I had thought about with the good guy gone bad reason, Sirleck probably had a decent life once, but got screwed over or bullied or something and he turned to darkness out of revenge of what he felt was justice and then he started getting greedy.
  16. Story, Friday November 24, 2017

I think everything that happened in the Second Life universe had already happened, so Ellen wasn't experiencing things in real time which is evident by the fact that she experienced the first 6 years of the second life in 12 hours. Also, considering when Ellen told everyone about the dreams, she said Nioi appeared at the end but she felt it wasn't actually Nioi but a prerecorded message from her, so my guess is the whole thing was copied somehow from Second Life Ellen and Kaoli and gradually inserted into our Ellen and Nioi's dewitchery twin. It'd probably be like being hooked up to the Matrix and having kung fu lessons uploaded to your brain, it'd take a couple minutes but if it's implanting memories of actually training for years, it'll feel like you trained for years. One more thing, Ellen also felt that Nioi had another reason for wanting to have someone else to share the experience with Kaoli, and that was to have someone not in her universe to get in contact with at some point later. That sounds like heavy foreshadowing to me that Kaoli will find her way to the main universe and needing to find Ellen to ask for help, which would probably mean the General Shade Tail situation would probably have gotten worse.
  17. Story, Friday November 24, 2017

It is now, but back when Ellen had here Second Life dreams, they were roughly 3 and a half months from the end of Junior year.
  18. Story, Friday November 24, 2017

There's further evidence that Lord Tedd's universe is at least a couple years ahead of the main one by the fact we're told that Nioi made herself "a few years younger" prior to touching the diamond, so Kaoli might have been physically 17-18 years old compared to Nioi being 20-22 maybe. Also, the Second Life universe must have been a couple years ahead as well since Ellen's dreams ended with Second Life Ellen saying bye to everyone before going off to college. The main group hadn't even finished Junior year highschool yet.
  19. Patreon: Saturday November 25 2017

I was going to post a thread for this, but wasn't quite awake yet (just finished my second coffee in the past hour and a half). Anyway, I almost didn't catch that the Ice Pop vendor was Tedd, makes the last panel more amusing.
  20. Story, Friday November 24, 2017

I've pretty much equated it to "HEY!" and "Oh boy..." which I know doesn't make much sense for Oy to work like that, but I figure the tone that it's said in plays a role in it as well.
  21. Story, Friday November 24, 2017

I think in general Magus might believe that Ashley doesn't know a whole lot about what's happening, maybe he hasn't been paying attention to Elliot's social life recently to know how much of anything Elliot might have tolled Ashley, he of course assumed Ashley knew about Ellen, and suddenly he might be worried that Ashley knowing more might scare her away from Elliot.
  22. Story, Friday November 24, 2017

I believe the maritime provinces are more likely to use it. Southwestern Ontario's dialect isn't much different than midwestern US really, but I've known some people around here have said it on occasion when cursing.
  23. NP Friday November 24, 2017

So the movement around the board isn't strictly clockwise, but forms can cause direction changes, like as Dan states, the others will continue to move clockwise until Ashley rolls low enough to end up behind someone, or all of them, and then their next movements would be counter clockwise. And in the example of Cat vs Dog, if the cat was behind the dog, the cat would move in the opposite direction and the dog would have to follow.
  24. Story, Friday November 24, 2017

Maybe his universe didn't have the American Revolution and the US is still a part of the British Empire? Or maybe the war did happen but the Americans lost?
  25. Story, Friday November 24, 2017

Yeah, that's still up in the air to be a potential twist.
