I'm pretty certain the difference between the two is that Spell resistance is the ability for a person to resist an attempt to enchant them, and enchantment resistance applies to being able to shrug off an enchantment after it's been applied. What I'm not completely certain of is if they are actually 2 separate types of resistances, or 1 type that works differently depending on the situation, like a spell has more power when it's cast so one would have to resist more to prevent them from being enchanted, but if they end up getting enchanted then they can still shorten the duration (unless it's permanent like changing a person's default form) by resisting it. It's gotta be a matter of willpower "I will not be enchanted" and "I will not stay enchanted" kind of thing, different situations, but still the same method of resisting.
  2. NP Wednesday July 5, 2017

Even if she was aware of being able to use both hands to make her spells more difficult to resist, it still wouldn't have worked on Not_Tengu, so really the only effect it would have had would have been to make us speculate if she got a new spell that required both hands. That said, it would seem that Not_Tengu had ridiculously high resistance to enchantment, was it the form that did it, or was he drawing on ambient energy to boost his resistance? He was able to draw on ambient energy to make himself bigger, stronger and faster, though it did burn through ambient energy at a pretty fast rate it seemed, but yeah, there probably are spells or enchantments that buff resistance to other enchantments.
  3. Story Wednesday July 5, 2017

Either the assistant was supplied to him by HR, or he hand picked her, and just because he hand picked her doesn't mean it was because he prefered the way she looked, she could have been someone he knew personally and gave her the job because he knew she'd do it well, or maybe he picked her to give everyone else the impression that he wasn't the kind of person that would watch ladies exercising in the gym. Also I'm pretty certain the woman in the gym has longer and thicker hair than Carol. Also the bangs go the opposite way, the part in Carol's bangs are more to her left where the part in the woman's is more to her right.
  4. Story Wednesday July 5, 2017

There's no question that Arthur knows that Magic can change if too many people learn about how to use it, Arthur's statement to Cranium about why he didn't want agents going out to deal with the bulldog dragon was that paople knowing that magic existed wasn't as important to keep secret, but keeping people convinced that it was rare and hard for people to get magic was the priority. That doesn't sound like Arthur wants Magic to change, but he's quite aware of how close it is to changing, and he's probably given Leifeld a heads up about it. The question is, what kind of contingency plans do they have if Magic does change? If that was Carol, Dan would have done more than just showed her for 1 panel. As it is, I'm certain that was just some random sexy blonde woman providing eye candy for Arthur while the male walking away provided eye candy for Leifeld.
  5. Story Wednesday July 5, 2017

Maybe Pandora is talking about the second purpose right now? Just a guess, but it does seem like she's talking about more than just the first purpose there. And it would be even worse if her attempt succeeded, probably. I suspect that Leifeld might have understood Edward's feelings at the time, and that he only injured Abraham which mean Edward still had some restraint, but if Edward had actually killed Abraham after Abraham had already surrendered, then Leifeld might have had to take more drastic action.
  6. Story Wednesday July 5, 2017

This isn't good I think. Pandora was doing so well, being kind, gentle, motherly, I got the feeling she really wanted to do things right. But she's slipped, this can't bode well, if she doesn't catch herself before she goes too far.
  7. Story: Monday, July 3rd, 2017

Both Rich and Larry assumed Tedd was a girl before Tedd even was a girl, they paid closer attention to Tedd, Luke on the other hand glanced in Tedd's direction while attempting to "look" at George and he wasn't sure of it was George or Tedd that was the source of the flash. Pandora stating that the spell wouldn't work properly when used on Tedd might correspond to the wand no working properly, though the wand was implied to give a 0 potential reading when used on Tedd, I'd think it'd be poor design if the wand didn't throw up errors if it was overloaded or had a negative value or something, so I don't know what the deal is there. Anyway, Luke didn't really pay much attention to Tedd for much of the night and only found out about Tedd's hair colour changing by overhearing Rich and Larry and then he ended up playing against Tedd and contemplating the change. Oh no, I was speaking purely in hindsight there, I hadn't started really reading the comics until a couple months after that hint was dropped and it wasn't until the end of the story when it was revealed that Sarah had a mark that it became obvious. That's why I had the thinking that maybe the divorce caused an angst induced awakening or something in Tedd and his near mute behaviour for years after was a symptom of it. Susan's awakening nearly caused her to go into a murderous rage if not for a quick serenity spell from Jerry. Greg may have had an awakening caused by depression due to being dumped by his girlfriend and the subsequent anime marathon. Tedd going into a deep depression over the divorce of his parents doesn't seem too far off really.
  8. Story: Monday, July 3rd, 2017

That's what I mean, Luke would have to actually look at her on the physical plane. He was about to check Sarah, but then he saw Tedd and Grace kissing. 100% certain Luke not checking Sarah was a clue that Sarah had been marked.
  9. Story: Monday, July 3rd, 2017

This actually raises a good question, if Luke could detect something different about Tedd, why couldn't the wand, or Adrian's ears? Maybe it's a strictly visual detection whereas the wand and Adrian's ears are completely different forms of detection? If Luke "looked" at Pandora, would he be nearly blinded as well?

There is a web version for it, sorry, I assumed you had used Discord before. https://discordapp.com/ just click the "open discord" button to use the web version. create an account, then click the circle with the plus sign on the left, click join server and then you can paste the link I gave into the field to join. It's also possible that her family was never actually royalty. Tara sensed such power in Nanase that she could only describe as royal because that's likely how royalty was on her half of the world.

That's why I countered with the idea that Tedd, and other Seers, can tap into magic the same or similar way that Immortals can. He's still mortal, but in terms of raw magic potential, he's up there with Immortals. Heka stated that while Seers are very rare, Tedd's not unique. While we have no way of knowing just how many Seers there are in the world, Heka's statement confirms that there are others alive in the world. I don't think Seers go through standard awa....actually, I don't think I can with certainty say that Seers don't need to awaken like other wizards do. Tedd may have very well gone through an angst induced awakening years ago if his near mute phase is any indication. So it's quite possible that other Seers exist, but they don't know they are Seers. My original thought was going to be, if Seers didn't need to go through an awakening process, then there's a chance that, over the course of hundreds of years, there must have been a fair number of Seers born. Even if most didn't realize their full potential, a small number must have, and if they eventually became Immortals, Pandora should have noticed. That thought is flawed because the lack of knowledge from both Pandora and most mortals like Edward and Noriko about Seers. Voltaire knows about seers though which makes me wonder how he knows, and now I'm wondering if Arthur knows that Tedd is a Seer, Tedd met Arthur when he was younger, presumably when Arthur was Edward's boss.

Interesting, the whole "adding rules to themselves..." bit seems like it would fit how EGS Fairies came to be, with the "Guide and empower" rule, and then on the other half of the world, Ancient's can't lie, another rule.

I'm pretty sure I saw it mentioned on Discord as well. Unless that was Tom as well, lol. Discord is actually bad at looking for something someone had said, whenever a new comic page is released, there may be like 30 posts on discord about it when I wake up in the morning, and there was one day when I got back from work and there was over 150 posts.

Let's see, Nanase can create Colour Clones, though they disappear if they are touched by anything. She can also summon Fox, but can she only summon one at a time, or can she summon as many as she has energy for?
  16. Story: Monday, July 3rd, 2017

I'm not sure if Immortal spells are any different from Humans, I imagine that serenity spell that Jerry used to bring Susan out of her angst induced awakening could be learned by any wizard or mage. The only possible connection I can see Tedd having with Immortals (aside from ancestry) would be that his magic potential is undetectable like Immortals magic potential is. Some people have already thought that maybe Tedd is destined to be a brand new Immortal, but considering ancestry, all seers would have an Immortal link which could mean they automatically tap into Immortal magic, magic that is apparently immune to the WoM's changes. Tedd would still be mortal, and wouldn't be able to shift between realities or use magic like they do, but if magic changing is like the WoM dropping a magic EMP bomb on everyone, Tedd would be shielded against it.

"Only one record of a person can be kept at a time via 'SCAN', but 'PASTE'....well..." I think that pretty much says yes, she can turn an undetermined number of people into the person she originally scanned.
  18. Story: Monday, July 3rd, 2017

If the glove gives Tedd more control over how the spell he infuses a wand with works, then he probably has an advantage over other wizards who can make wands. Also would it be safe to assume that wands and other magic artifact would stop working if Magic changed? Normal wizards who were able to make wands would lose the ability to make wands, but Tedd can still make them. People can build their magic power and eventually awaken from using wands in the current system, maybe that doesn't change and wands that Seers make can restart the process of awakening for people.
  19. Story: Monday, July 3rd, 2017

Soo...hkmaly and I were both not quite right there? I mean, the glove is storing all the parameters of the spell, like the different forms to be transfered to the wand, but Tedd's supplying the actual spells. Also with the implication that Seers are rare enough that Edward didn't know that Tedd was one, but wands are common among wizards, where does Edward and the agents of DGB or the so called black market get their wands, I assumed they had someone make them. This ability has to be more common than Seers are, it wouldn't make sense for Seers to be the only ones capable of making wands and have Tedd's parents or Adrian someone else in DGB not know about them. Edit: Someone on Discord asked Dan if Seers were the only source of wands and Dan said that it's safe to assumed they're not. So yeah other wizards had the ability to make wands and Seers would do more than that.

Not so much the iphone itself having a lighter built in, but you can get an iphone case that does. also has a bottle opener. http://worldofnovelty.com/built-in-cigarette-lighterbottle-opener-iphone-case/

That camera angle....::whistles:: ::ahem:: Anyway, wanted to post the actual image but found it quite large and didn't seem like it would a good idea, and tumblr hasn't been updated yet and I know that has a tendency to resize the images, so patreon link it is.
  22. Story, Friday June 30, 2017

I dunno, I've seen some toy watches that play sounds, light up, and also still tell time either by a small LCD display or quartz movement. The might be a chip or something inside that has gold coated pins plus the quartz itself might be barely adequate for a spell. But yeah, tin, aluminum and glass could be enough as well. Tedd might be using the computer to design something, but then committing that design to his own memory before transferring it to the watch through the glove. I don't see a USB connector for the glove. Are we to assume that the gem on the back of the glove is the wi-fi access and memory chip.
  23. Story, Friday June 30, 2017

Maybe seers just have a natural ability to use what's available to them. Tedd uses technology, but the technology itself doesn't do anything special. If we go back to the discussion about materials used for wands and such, how either rarity and value, or just the composition of the material, determines how much energy can be stored or what kinds of spells can be infused in them. The watches might have just enough gold or crystal or something that can allow a spell to be infused in them but it of course wouldn't be enough to hold the energy needed to cast the spell. It's interesting because I don't think we've ever seen how Tedd actually designs the spells and how he set it up so that one had to "push the button with the intent to use magic and say the desired effect 3 times", it was assumed that he used the computer, but maybe that was just to get the morph designs figured out, and then how would he transfer said designs to the glove. All we ever saw was a design phase, and the watch infusion phase, I don't think we ever saw the whole process from start to finish so we have no clue what Tedd's doing halfway through.

In the case of Sarah, the "taller" part alone might have made her as tall as Susan, but the "shrunk" part made her probably half size, so her proportions are completely different than they would be if she was simply just shrunk.
