Actually, Dan did say that Grace can awaken, it's just more difficult because she'd have to be able to suppress her natural power to build up magic power. I'm sure she could do it on her own if she was dedicated to it, I think Noah is a good example that it can be done, but having an Immortal speed up the process could be doable too. I don't think Pandora would do that though, she's probably already aware of what Grace is capable of.

We just got a huge chunk of her past that reveals motivation, I would imagine that when she was closer to 200, the idea of doing something like this just for Adrian's benefit would not cross her mind, or if it did, she wouldn't be willing to risk all the harm it could do to others. Now though, because she's grown unstable, she doesn't care what happens to others as long as she's able to provide for Adrian. It's like at the end of her backstory, it mentions her helping Adrian learn about himself and be powerfull but she kept within the limits of Immortal rules, but over the years, her power and insanity made her start to believe that it wasn't enough and looked for loopholes to exploit which leads us to now.

Anyone get the feeling that if Pandora can look into someone's dream, she should be able to see what Sarah is doing in her simulated time freezes? I mean you could say that Sarah's spell lets her enter a dreamstate of the area around her in full lucid mode. Maybe it's more complicate than that, like it uses another part of the brain that doesn't deal with dreams and Pandora can only access the dream section, I dunno. I gotta wonder why Disco Wizard would want to keep contacting Grace now, she's made the connection about the marks and the creepy girl(Pandora) she saw on TV. If she wanted to report back that she's made the connection, she likely did it Friday night/Saturday morning. Will Pandora find anything to indicate who's interfering with her plans? Will Grace be having a different dream this time? I wonder if Grace's Lespuko side can take on Pandora.

Pretty certain he still is Seyunolu considering his connetion to Damien and the fact that he gives off the same aura as Grace. Dan has confirmed that it's possible for Seyunolus to gain access to Earth magic if they were able to suppress their Uryuom Power, while it is difficult, I could see Noah pulling it off as part of his training to avenge his parents deaths. How Noah ended up in the care of Adrian though is a complete mystery, did Adrian know his parents? Did Edward know Noah's parents and ask Adrian to take care of Noah? How long ago did Damien kill Noah's parents? As for Noah's relationship with Melissa? Dan's hinted that they're still together, and possibly haven't changed their relationship, though Melissa obviously isn't going to be obsessing over Justin anymore. Melissa also seems to be in the know in terms of the existence of magic and aliens given she knows about Noah's special abilities so I don't see her dropping her relationship with Noah.

This is just wild speculation here, but considering that at the end of "So a Date" Sirleck is misinformed that Adrian is the son of either Helena or Demetrius. Sirleck will probably try to send vampires after Adrian, which should entice Helena and Demetrius to try to find someone to fight the vampires (Adrian could probably handle 1 or 2 himself but if there are more...) they may even get Diane and Susan to fight them, so not only will Diane learn of Adrian's true nature (and be more respectful afterwards) but she'd likely get marked to unlock her innate talents, meanwhile Magus will take the opportunity to get Ellen to zap Elliot, Voltaire probably leaves a clue for Pandora suggesting that Elliot was the reason for the attack on Adrian and considering how Pandora and Magus parted ways (Magus refusing to get Edward to kill the person that hurt Adrian), and knowing why Magus needs Elliot, Pandora would probably be enraged enough to find a way to get Elliot killed to spite Magus. Does that sound like a complicated mess to anyone?

I remember when emojis first appeared, people were talking about them like it was something new and amazing, all I could think was "these have been around for years, they're just emotes!"

Tedd, why would you ask that? You know she has access to the internet and tends to look up stuff if she hears it and doesn't know what it means, she likely heard the Game Grumps (or the EGS equivalent of) say Waifu and got curious, also, in her time playing Overwatch she likely seen or heard someone go "Mei is Bae". She probably knows about Husbandos too, if Twitter does exist in EGS, she's likely heard of #waifuwednesday and #husbandohumpday by now lol. Yes yes, I know this sounds like I'm treating this as canon, but it is canon that she looks up stuff she doesn't know or thought she knew but was thrown a curveball that confused her. As for the meaning of bae, it's either an acronym of "before anyone else" or a shortened form of babe, but considering some people refer to something awesome or popular as "the sh*t", I guess the danish version of the word would still be relevant. :)

No no, that's just the age difference between her and Adrian that I was referring to, I was mistaken when I said that it helped confirm that she's not as old as we speculated, and corrected myself by saying that her and Adrian could still be ancient, we just don't know for sure though I did put out what I felt was a reasonable guess based on what we've seen, which does include Pandora's comments to Sarah.

Probably, and I just realized that this really doesn't confirm anything about Pandora's age, sure we know she's 156 years older that Adrian, but BECAUSE we don't know Adrian's exact age, we still don't know Pandora's exact age. Dan's not being any help with the vagueness of the time period this lore fragment takes place in, no idea why he'd want to keep the time period secret, unless he's saving the reveal of their ages for a later story, or maybe he wants to tease us. If I were to take a guess though, maybe sometime in the 16th century. Adrian could be pushing 400 years old and Pandora 550-575. The lion bear and monster that killed Blaike was probably an extreme rarity that most people would consider them myths. On the other hand, I think someone speculated that maybe Pandora was originally from the other half of the world, I can certainly believe that considering the griffins exist there, lion bears and dragons could have existed there rather than in the main half, Pandora could have brought Adrian over long ago. I couldn't find anything in Talon vs Scythe, Death Sentence, nor Q&A#5 that mentions how old Adrian looks in his true form, mind you there are several Talon vs Scythe comics that are missing commentaries, I dunno if they ever had any though, they might just be ones that Dan still needs to add commentary to at some point. I will agree that mid to late 20s sounds right for Adrian's appearance. I'm thinking he aged normally for the first 17-20 years of his life, or maybe a slightly reduced speed, like the rate at which Grace ages (she looks 16 when she's 18), then it becomes greatly reduced after that.

Hmm, that would depend on how many aberrations are showing up in Moperville, and how many of them subscribe to the tactic of trying to kill potential threats while they are still young and vulnerable. Akiko does have some pretty powerful magic in her heritage, after all. If there's a big discussion about how Diane is in danger because of her bloodline, just like Susan was attacked because of her magic potential back when she was a Freshman, can't you just imagine Nanase trailing off in the middle of a sentence, as she has her "Aw, crap!" moment? After dealing with Not_Tengu, I'm pretty certain Nanase is aware of the possibility of more threats coming her family's way in attempt to get revenge on Noriko. So even if Akiko winds up not having the family gift, she'd still be in danger. As for metaplot reasons, sure I doubt Akiko would be part of this arc, but Nanase would still be part of the plot given the fact that she's Ellen's girlfriend and could probably also be the one that introduces Diane to Susan.

I'm starting to think, depending on how things go between Diane and Susan, we may have to start refering to the main cast as the Main 9, it certainly wouldn't seem fair to keep Diane in the second string while Susan is a headliner. I would hope you're not holding any hope for Damien, considering he's dead. Though I guess if you think about it, Damien was created to fulfill a prophecy, so the tragedy here is that he was conditioned by his creators that he was some sort of god, in another reality Damien is probably a superhero.

First because you thing readers are only invested in the main 8 (just reading the fora tells otherwise), and second because you seem to have no patience with webcomic time. Please, don't talk as if you represent or know the point of view of all or most readers of this comic. I myself wondered for most of the past year or so since I started reading the comic if Dan was ever going to have another T-minus moment with Sirleck and/or Magus or just in general revisit Magus making another attempt to get Ellen to zap Elliot. Once Sirleck had appeared in So a Date, I was like "Ohh we're gonna get some more now!", and when Sister 3 was finally announced, it pretty much confirmed that Magus is going to try again. Dan does appear to be trying to tie up a bunch of loose ends as well as give insight to various characters, we all wondered about Pandora's motives for not resetting, there's been plenty of speculation about her age and it's been confirmed that she's not as old as some of us thought, she's only 156 years older that Adrian, the question now is, how old is Adrian? Anyway, as far as main 8 panel time, Squirrel Prophet mainly focused on Tedd, Grace, Sarah and Justin, with a short appearance from Ellen and Nanase. So a Date focused on Elliot, Ellen and Nanase, and now Sister 3 looks like it'll at least have Elliot, Ellen and Susan, if there are any school scenes then it's very likely we'll see the entire main cast in this arc.

The only time she was together with him that I remember was during his stay in the hospital. Back then she did not show her nightmare side though she did sort of go Galadriel Dark Queen near the end. Pandora herself might not have told Adrian about the rules of Immortals when he was young, but I have to believe that somewhere between the age of 44 (when Pandora would have turned 200) and present time, Adrian would have learned about them, he certainly knows about the guide and empower rule, and Jerry's surprise that Susan, Sarah and Grace didn't know about the 200 year reset rule suggest that it should be common knowledge to those who know about Immortals. I dunno, maybe Adrian's surprise when Pandora came to visit after 14 years suggests that he thought she might have reset back then. But then he didn't mention anything so I dunno. Definitely that conversation they had and Adrian's comment "This won't end well" should be an indicator that he's well aware that she's unstable. There's probably not much he himself can do about it, he may have already tried to convince Pandora to reset, maybe his last attempt was 14 years ago. I'm still not entirely sure, but I think Edward might know about Pandora, maybe not as the creepy child he saw in the woods, but as the adult, when Adrian realized she was involved in the incident at school, he stated "you didn't warn me, you didn't warn Verres, you let it happen". Of course Edward is a VIP in the world of the paranormal according to Jerry so it might have been a default, if there's any sign of trouble, call Verres deal. Still if no one knows that Pandora is Adrian's mother, I'm wondering if Adrian's intentionally holding back that info because he thinks it might affect how people would deal with Pandora.

In terms of revisiting gags, thats understandable, there's only been a few times where he's made callbacks (spontaneous hair colour changes, the griffin, lockpicking gorilla, etc) I don't expected him to do callbacks for them all. Then again, Tedd's mention of being banned from the women's clothing section is just one part of Tedd's story which would also include the time he tried to get a set of girls uniforms at school and ended up having to trade with Susan, so we could see more that kind of stuff, just not the exact same. But as I said, I'd like to think that Tedd hasn't felt the need to do things that might end up getting him into trouble since him and Grace starting being serious, even Ellen said that before Grace, Tedd was snarky, made inappropriate comments and was kind of a jerk, after he started dating Grace he became much less of a jerk. So yeah, I could see him being banned from that section of the mall if he made some inappropriate comments and acted like a jerk.

I also think that Tedd's more mature than he was earlier in the comic. The reasons for the original ban could have partly been creeping out other customers and maybe even a misunderstanding due to fact that he's genderfluid but didn't know it at the time. Tedd asking about clothes for himself in the creepy perverted manner he used to have likely got him into a fair bit of trouble. Nowadays though, Grace has helped him understand what he is and the fact that she shares a lot of his interests and even encourages some of his habits at home means he doesn't have near as many incidents in public.

Thief was good in that it was challenging, you only had so much to start with and you had to be mindful of when to use your equipment, you also had to be aware of your environment. At the same time the only way you could increase your chances of success in later levels is if you collected all the valuables in the previous one so that you could afford enough items to take with you. I do seem to recall that none of the guards ever got back up after getting knocked in the back of the head with a blackjack....

I... think I just saw the first part about Magus being an alternate of Elliot's father and went to respond without fully reading the rest.... sorry. Yeah, Dan hasn't confirmed or denied anything about Terra. I don't think it's a coincidence though even if you took art style into account, Terra looks way too much like a female Tedd, and it just feels like Dan's decision to name her Terra is quite telling who he was thinking of when he created her. Terra could be an alternate of Nanase considering Elliot and Nanase sparred together in ASMA, though seeing as Magus felt that Nanase would be a man in his universe, I think Tedd's alternate would have been likely to take on Nanase's role in Magus' universe.
