Okay, I suppose you have a point there, but if the situation were that desperate i would expect more active effort towards recruiting individuals known to have powers. to go with your superhero metaphor, where's the JLU? The kids have been seen saving the day, it's shown up online and on tv, some of the incidents are weeks or months old at this point, DGB supposedly keeps tabs on them, and Susan has experience 'hunting' yet there hasn't been a peep in canon.
I dunno, maybe refusing to accept Xeno's theories is just me being cynical or stubborn, but they're full of holes and what if's, and every answer I've been hearing to those holes just raises more questions...
It just doesn't add up for me. I know there's nothing concrete, but at-least to me, It makes more sense for it to be false than true.

It's the first time I've heard it, too, and I am a lot older than that ad.

perhaps because the roundabouts way of revealing the twins similar birthdays wouldn't work if he didn't? the cast said it themselves, how many people would actually remember the time they were born?
why is everyone so hung up on egg-theory relatives anyway? while the hidden relative thing works for a few (well, just the twins in my eyes, but whatever), for several of them, particularly Noah, they actually work better if they're NOT related to that many of the other cast members. noah's back story works fine as it is, but him having additional family just raises the question of why he didn't track them down to ask for help during his whole revenge kick. If he had a parent who wasn't dead, it's conceivable he would have tried, but there isn't even a hint of that.
It doesn't actually fill any plotholes, the only important question it would answer would be in a lackluster way, it actually adds a few new plotholes, and it weakens the characterization of the existing cast.
It's newbie-fanfic-level bad writing, it takes away more than it adds.

Susan was born 10 minutes after midnight, so January 1st for here, Diane would be the elder sister by 20 minutes being born 10 minutes before midnight December 31st.
As for why Dan would make a point to have anyone mention Susan being the youngest. Does there have to be a particular reason other than the fact that just prior to the mention of it, Ellen says "In light of Susan oldness", which would kinda be ironic for referring to someone younger than her. also the fact that Susan seems more mature compared to the rest of the group.
As for why Susan would know when she was born, nothing too suspicious about that, some parents tell their kids that, Heck my photo album has the time I was born plus my weight and length marked down. Even if Susan was adopted Mr and Mrs Pompoms would have to have been given a copy of the birth certificate and any relevant information.

If it is, than they've got one job and they're failing it. badly. Neither is even slightly funny.

The twins, toilet man, and accident victim, were obviously abducted by aliens, and the replacement is a governmet agent covering it up.
    ...wait...
    just had a scary thought.
I know I've been griping about the Soap-opera scenario with the girl's potential mother but it just occurred to me, What if this is a 'skywalker' scenario instead: Hide the twins with trusted friends to keep them away from a family member who's turned against their own? I mean, we know there are types of bloodsuckers that can hijack a person's body...

That's my thoughts on this as well. I think the chances of Carol having magic are very very low. But eh, with EGS it's hard to know.

Not to mention that a lot of them has smart phones with cameras. So interview them and make sure to get permission to use as many recordings as possible...

The way I see it was Carol was all frantic rushing in and finding out she just missed Cheerleadra. She then closes her eyes in a "Okay calm down Carol, we can still do something with this can't we? Wait, this is a mall, lots of witnesses!". She would have been so eager to get right to it that she wasn't aware of Phil initially. No special magic ability needed for that, just a one track mindset.

Which is something I do, and I've seen other people do, to calm down when in a stressful situation. She just lost a shot at would have been a good story, i think that counts as stressful. and the interview idea could just be her desperate attempt to salvage the situation.

Whoa you're right. The "X replied to Y's topic in Z".
... frankly, the rule for "div p.ipsType_blendLinks, div p.ipsType_blendLinks span.ipsType_light" is very suspicious, as it sets both white text AND white background. For the source it's at least not the same rule.

A quick and dirty stopgap fix, would be to go through the boards code and replace all instances of white text with light gray. The bits that are on black & dark blue backgrounds would still be clearly visible, but the ones on light/white backgrounds would just be faint instead of completely invisible.
Cause the edit screen isn't the only place this site missuses white text. Go to someone's profile and hit [CTRL] [A], you'll see words appear outa nowhere for an example most people probably missed.
It's not perfect but it's better than what we have.

Yeah, the best explaination was the adoption would have happened just shortly after birth. If Susan's dad is her biological father then he probably only agreed to adopt one of the twins and the other was adopted by the same couple that adopted Rhea. I kinda wonder if Mrs Pompoms was even capable of having children. Maybe she had asked Mr Pompoms about the possibility of adopting someday and when Mr Pompoms' got his mistress pregnant it would have been easy to say yes to adopting, especially if the mistress didn't want to keep the children in the first place.

Er... that presupposes that Susan would be able to remember her father's betrayal but not the fact that she has a twin sister. I can't get that to work.

I just hope dan doesn't pull a plotpoint from the tv sitcom playbook and have the blond mistress be their real mother...
that would just be WAY too cliche.

Great, now I have a mental image her cape talking to her in a computer Voice.

...yeah, that's not how alchohol works at all. It doesn't make people universally social, it weakens their inhibitions and shuffles around their motivations.
how those changes manifest depends on the person, their mood, and how much they drank, and can be almost anything including; thinking everything is inexplicably hilarious (me apparently, I'm told i'm prone to giggling like a deranged lunatic when I drink), hitting on everything in sight, becoming the undisputed lord of snarky comments, deciding the entire world is your enemy and taking it out on whoever's closest, suddenly becoming everybody's friend, to throwing todler-esqe tantrums, just to name the reactions I've seen in person.
