  1. Depends on how you define "knows about". Helena and Dimitrios know he exists. Sirleck knows he's desperate to get a new body and is willing to compromise his ethics to do it, but probably not his origins Pandora probably arranged his condition so she knows it all. I want to fit Volraire between Pandora and Sirleck somewhere.

Maybe but that conversion is definitely a mood-killer.
  3. Dimitrus and Helena do. I wouldn't be surprised if Jerry did too. EDIT: I would be very surprised if Voltaire did NOT know about Magus.
  4. EGS TvTropes pages

I ran across some similarly parodic $3 bills with Bill Clinton on them. Photocopied on regular--pink--paper, the wrong size, etc. Could not mistake them for a legitmamte bill. There is no grilock so locked that a SCOTUS-legal anti-counterfeiting bill wouldn't sail through the US Congress like it was greased, barely touching the marble floors with its feet. Some things transcend ideology. For politicians, money is one of them.

Why would you assume that magic can empower individuals to do things it itself cannot? Magic can have to deal with any number of limits besides what it can do. When it can do it comes to mind.
  6. Depends on what you're thirsty for...
  7. Story: Friday 24 Feb 2017

To be honest I have no idea what the difference is between "Magic" and "The Will of Magic". I have no idea what one can do that the other can't. I am working on the assumption that the Will of Magic is capable of anything magic can do just as a commonsense default but it's possible that there's limits in there somewhere. We don't even know what the Will of Magic does besides give out spells and set rules.
  8. I liked Ashely's really dark green as well...
  9. Agreed. It's a personal taste sort of thing. The angel Rumsiel might have liked Ashley most at her starting point.
  10. #4 here, though #5 plays quite well...
  11. Given that I didn't like Rhoda and Amanda's far more covered picture (to the point of doing an edit), I am trying to figure out why my brain thinks this is OK. I see this as sensual and sexy, not skankarrific as I did with Rhoda and Amanda. I know I like seeing something happen. In addition to transforming, Ashley is drinking tea. That adds motion and energy, but doesn't explain why I like it. Ashley's arm is always strategically placed to shield us from naughty bits. That's nice but not it either. Ashley's arm could be completely out of the way and not seriously affect my opinion. My brain tells me it's something in how Ashley is acting that makes the difference.but I don't have that quality nailed down for my conscious mind.

To say nothing of "anti-bacterial" soaps...
  14. Story: Friday 24 Feb 2017

Reminder: There is nothing known to be outside Magic's ability besides time-travel (into the past). If the way humans are constructed magically changed and there is no reliable way to translate Tedd's data into usable data under the new system, "invalidate" is the correct term. Admittedly that's a huge stretch. I would *expect* that since the behavior of Uryouom energy won't change that in general its effects on humans isn't going to change. There might be some differences in the margins. but not in the funamental ways it operates on humans.
  15. Story: Friday 24 Feb 2017

...or reverse engineered. There is that option as well. The thing is as Tedd mentioned earlier is that the quasi-magic Uryouom energy might not interact with humans the same after a magic reset, which could invalidate all Tedd's stored data.

I flashed on Beta Tedd and Ellen...
  17. More Speculation.

It's entirely possible that Tedd's ability is independent of the rules Magic sets for itself. Then it occurred to me: Could it be that all magical aptitudes are independent of the rules Magic is using? It makes some sense. Regardless of Magic's rules Susan ought still be advantaged when it comes to making stuff out of magic. This is not the same thing as saying she would keep her spells or "magic user" status through a rules change. Just that her innate magical talent shouldn't disappear.

Wouldn't boiling or otherwise evaporating the water be the energy challenge with desalinization as well?

Hey, I liked the "Hudson Brothers Razzle Dazzle Hour" thankyouverymuch....
  20. NP Monday January 20, 2017

It's all good. Probably best to not go there till things have calmed down over here in the US.

That sounded like a political jab. I'm not sure that's appropriate here. Apologies if I have misconstrued you.
  22. Story Wednesday February 22, 2017

If Ashley has a good memory, she might remember she saw that purple-haired...girl?...guy?...sitting at the lunchtable when she had her talk with Susan about Bad Tom.

    ...but I'm a US citizen...
  24. Story: Monday February 20, 2017

Sure it could. Uryouom magic works by one set of rules and can't give a person with solid bones hollow ones. Earth magic works by a different set of rules and has a whole different set of advantages and limits

I think Dan will give them this one. I'm really proud of Elliot here. I want to be that casually accepting when I grow up....
