  1. They shouldn't need any TF stuff with them. Sarah and Susan would only need watches or a TF Gun if their enchantments needed to be renewed before comicon was over. Neither should be needed just to maintain the effects.
  2. Sooooo agreed. Maybe a caption: "FV5", "2x FV5", "3x FV5", "4x FV5", "5x FV5"
  3. Panda Ashley would have been cool. I voted for it as well. I was hoping to tag along with Tedd as he explored new frontiers of bustiness. That looked...sad.
  4. NP, Monday, August 1, 2016

I know I lose more than I win...
  5. Never choose a size that induces sympathy... Sadly yes. I had big sexy-awesome hopes for this one too. It's kind of the antithesis to sexy-awesome...
  6. Susan looks both pleased and embarrassed all at once. If she's worried about burning, she should put on sunscreen. Sarah was the surprise She's turning into quite the Tedd...
  7. Pinup: August 1, 2016 (Téa Apron)

Falling tea, bare nearly everything besides the apron...
  8. I'd just like to see sketches. Maybe Dan's Patreon stuff time-delayed by 3 months.
  9. All Things Ashley

Imagine Ashley trying to explain this to her family: "Mom, Dad? I just found out I got my boyfriend pregnant..."
  10. NP, Monday, August 1, 2016

That's what usually happens to me when I and a character disagree... I see a lot of "mild mannered" Elliot in Psych Student Pandora...

    Let's do it again!
  12. All Things Ashley

The most expensive PC I ever bought was the 386SX machine (Windows 3.0, cavernous 40 MB hard drive...) I bought it at a computer show a long...long time ago. They got a lot cheaper when I started building my own...

In my mind this is as it ought to be. Hope for the best (resolve the boar situation without loss of human or animal life) and act on it. but plan for the worst, in this case pack an elephant gun. I don't think a shotgun would have done the job with a single shot at anything besides point blank range, which Raven was not at. Boars are really bloody-minded creatures.
  14. Story: Wednesday, July 27, 2016

Remind me where it was established Wizards could learn spells by seeing them done? I *think* it was established, but I can't find where it was. I went through Q&A 7 to make sure it wasn't there....
  15. NP: Wednesday, July 27, 2016

Ah. So it's something I do every time I need to edit a post. It's not a permanent setting somewhere. Got it.
  16. NP: Wednesday, July 27, 2016

Where do we do this at? I looked at the dropdown under my name and fond "Settings" to be grayed out...
  17. Story: Wednesday, July 27, 2016

I'm not sure Agent Wolf would be comfortable taking on an average Immortal, however we define "average". He's the most powerful wizard in the midwest, but that might not be enough. This comic is the closest I've ever seen to a comparison between an Immortal and a human magic-user, though it's not very useful for generalizing to other magic users or Immortals. If Disco Wizard''s ability matches his attitude, he could confidently expect to eject a 200-year-old Immortal from Grace's dreamscape. That's why I thought he might be the second most powerful being we've seen. He just backed down from the first most-powerful.
  18. Story: Wednesday, July 27, 2016

The fact that Disco Wizard changed his tone to be less commanding says he no longer has the upper hand. Odd that he felt comfortable giving orders to Immortals at all. he may be the second most powerful entity we've seen in EGS...
  19. The Weather.

Mostly cloudy, 88F coming off a high of 93, 37% humidity and effectively no wind. No rain likely thank the gods. What are you compiling?
  20. Political Discussion Thread (READ FIRST POST)

How does calling them "Radical Islam" benefit them? Much depends on who gets blamed. If the terrorists get blamed for genuine refugees being locked out of better circumstances, that starts to open a division between radical islam and majority islam. That division needs to happen. I haven't seen anything concrete from you about what sort of military action against Iran you think would be effective. We wouldn't have known what would have happened if we'd helped the Greens. It is hard to imagine worse than what did happen to the Greens. I'm sorry. The rest of your comment uses too much indirection for me to follow. Please re-phrase. How does Egypt's civilian/military division of power keep the civilian government from lending aid to radical islamic groups? To repeat: are you saying that the US could absolutely count on the military side of Egypt to block any attempt by the Islamic Brotherhood to aid radical islamic groups like ISIS? If not, what is the significance of the independence of the Egyptian military? How would it have limited the terror options of the Isamic Brotherhood (short of the military staging a coup, of course). It boils down to we fight them here or we fight them there. An open and free society cannot defend itself from repeated terrorist attacks without ceasing to be open and free. Terror attacks in the US and EU are making that point right now. If you disagree with my assertion, there's a lot of options available. You can treat terrorism as a law-enforcement problem. This is how the US Left tends to think about terrorism and we can see our openness and freedom in the US starting to go away (RE: Edward Snowden). Moreover you can't beat an enemy while leaving her or his bases of operation intact. They will simply go home, lick their wounds and come back. Because I don't believe fighting them here is or ever will be effective without losing the freedoms we want to keep (maybe not even then), there is no choice but to fight them there in the mideast, Africa and perhaps asia. That means invasion and confrontation on the ground. It means going into Iran and beating on their uranium centrifuges with sledgehammers. It means going into Iraq and Syria and taking the fight to ISIS. It means destroying the Taliban bases in northern Pakistan. The unavoidable civilian casualties are in the hundred-thousands. This choice has awful, nasty, ugly consequences. We (the West, not just the US) might have had other options 20 or 30 years ago, but we wasted them lionizing terrorist leaders (RE: Yassir Arrafat) and responding to attacks by teaching our citizens to sit quietly in their seats during a hijacking and loudly lamenting our past "imperialism" sins. We're seen as weak and indecisive. Militarily insignificant entities honestly think they can win a war against us because *we* have told them they can. Every time the Obama administration or news media outlet covered up a terror attack with phrases like "man-caused disaster" or "workplace violence" (or just withheld information such as the religion of the attacker when they were islamic), the future body count that will be required to win the war against islamic terrorism goes up.
  21. Story: Monday July 18, 2016

I tend to think in terms of Primary, secondary, tertiary. The Primary characters are the high school age kids: The Main 8. They're who the story is about. They should all have ongoing character arcs, and I'm pretty sure they do. Ed Verres is a good example of a secondary character. The story is not about him, but he is involved with a good chunk of it. Tertiary characters show up very rarely. Noah is the most over-promoted tertiary character in EGS. Susan was supposed to be a secondary or tertiary character but elbowed her way into primary status. I think Susan stole Noah's place at the Main 8 table.

The simple fact that Sirleck would be possessing someone related by blood to Immortals might be enough.
  23. Things You Only Noticed On Reread

I like Sarah's the best. It's got the most style. For pure badassery, I gotta give it to Disco Wizard. If he understands who he is dealing with, and he should, having a human, any human, give orders to an Immortal hundreds of year past her reset point with all the power and awareness that implies, is seriously badass.
  24. NP: Monday, July 25, 2016

Magic itself probably decides when an Immortal can mate with fertility. It certainly could. Which sort of begs the question of how Immortals got started...
