It is false. It was legal until recently but was outlawed at long last in 2015. At the time of the comic it was still legal, but fortunately Denmark has finally joined the ranks of nations that protect animals from this kind of abuse.
An animal definitionally cannot consent. And animal psychologists agree that it is psychologically harmful for the animal to be abused in this way.

Maybe it is just some sort of advertisement mania. God knows Denmark has seen a lot of very odd things happen during our various "Buy Danish" frenzies. I mean, seriously? "Buy Danish bananas"? Where in Denmark do these banana plantations lie, and why did I never hear of them before?

Maybe this isn't so much of a "click", but more of a "Clique"?

There are so many reasons why this would not work, one of which is that the tests need not be applied in good faith. It would merely join gerrymandering as another tool in the toolbox of voter suppression. The only thing I personally see as working is better education for everybody.

You would like this one too, I think. My take on it is "not even wrong" or "wronger that wrong" is about missing the point, being way off base. Fractally wrong starts there and aggressively builds on it. Wrong on many levels, it's a system, not just one thing. Jim was wrong about ... well just so much, his whole approach was wrong. I suppose it worked as a Chewbacca defense. Maybe there's a hidden level of brilliance in there.
 
I like it as a resource. It is very biased, but it is honest and up front about it's bias.

And those are merely the reported cases. Given the unknown but most likely very large number of unreported cases, the actual percentage of liars is quite likely much smaller.

Just as an aside.
In general, everything the US does casts a long shadow across the world. It used to be that most Western countries tended to look in the direction of the US before deciding what to do on any particular new or potentially fraught issue. For example, Denmark still had being transgender classified as a mental illness until the DSM was updated in 2013. When the US makes a copyright law everybody sits up and takes notice because it affects trade. We didn't always decide the same way as the US but we always paid attention.
It was the same thing with the DMCA. Like it or not, it affected us because we trade a lot of movies and entertainment with the US. (Yeah, the occasional Danish entertainment makes it to the US, often in the form of remakes but still.)
