I don't remember if this was mentioned previously, but I find it interesting 1835 – In the first assassination attempt against a President of the United States, Richard Lawrence attempts to shoot president Andrew Jackson twice, but both guns fail to fire. Old Hickory then proceeded to beat Lawrence with his cane. The would-be assassin's life is saved as he is wrestled into submission by a crowd that included Representative David "Davy" Crockett and other Members of Congress. At his trial in April, the Prosecuting Attorney was Francis Scott Key. But because Lawrence repeatedly interrupted the proceedings by shouting wild accusations, the Jury only needed five minutes of deliberation to find Lawrence "not guilty by reason of insanity". Ever wonder how you can be associated with the Mt Rushmore D List without actually becoming a politician yourself?

The "Cool Factor" is often more than enough to affect how you feel about what you are doing A sufficient level of cool is more than enough -

Is there a way that people could cast a number of spells on themselves that would have a net result of leaving that person appearing relatively normal, but through the process of stack priority, would act as ablative armor?
-
People can make abrupt changes in their lives And the drama, though common, is optional Sometimes the drama is provided by someone who did not change and refuses to accept that anyone else has changed

So this is the replacement monk? Can we skip ahead to the next replacement?

So the lesson we are supposed to take away from this comic is either "People do things without thinking of the consequences" Or "People assume things, often the worst, and then make no effort to challenge or modify those assumptions" I assume I'm right, and that everyone else on the internet is either awed, stunned, or annoyed by my brilliance

Exactly We never saw him until long after he had been corrupted I am wondering about the path that begins with a slightly flawed human gaining power and then seeing how fast and far they descend
-
Someday we may yet get to see magic being used by a human who isn't essentially descent and honourable before it ends up corrupting them But not today These kids are all too darn nice for their own good

At the bus stop I saw an Amish family Five people, including an elderly man in a wheelchair with a missing leg Alongside them were two Sheriff's Deputies It really looked like the deputies were "escorting" this family Making absolutely certain that they left on the next bus out of town I am certain this small band posed such an imminent threat to local law and order that the officers would have been justified in taking much more extreme measures

So that's it? We are officially out of History? I suppose this is what happened to the History Channel which is how they became host to the Ancient Alien "documentaries" (The real ancient aliens were smart enough to clean up after themselves and were not interested in "probes")

That's when the fleeing villain leads the heroes into an ambush I know that is an ancient plot, but if the players insist on acting like the barbarian horde, let them learn a lesson from the Roman Legion of Doom

Seems like something that should have been set up before the party Otherwise, an understandable plan So making something go wrong at this point will be just that much more difficult, and amusing when it happens -
SUVs are sold as "trucks" to avoid emission and fuel economy standards for automobiles Anyone here remember when SUVs really were trucks?

WHAT? Are you implying that there are people who do not spend every waking moment relentlessly obsessing over the the marriage of strike plate and latch? Oh what a sad place this world has become If only I could close the door and secure it in such a way that no one outside could bother me

There are a lot of video games that feel like scenes from an animated movie connected by a sequence of fights and your "Goal" for winning the fights is to see the movie If so, why don't I just watch the movie?

This morning I watched a squirrel running along a power line Grace, of course, could do this in full squirrel form But could she do it in her squirrel-girl, omega, or human forms? -
Like the Wicked Witch who can be dissolved by ordinary water keeping buckets of water out in the open in her own castle? Would Dracula keep a fully consecrated chapel and an herb garden full of garlic within walking distance of his crypt?
