Does she weigh the same as a duck?

“She’s a witch! Burn her!”

On the other hand, it also implies that using blunt attacks against it would result in your weapon/shield/fist/whatever getting stuck to it.

It took me a while to realize that The Luggage from the Discworld novels was meant to be a parody of Mimics.

The poor quality of the tap water is probably the reason why people raised in those areas scoff at the mere idea of drinking plain water.

Trees are SO dangerous, in fact, that after we kill them, we burn the corpses just to make sure!

Left-handedness was held in such suspicion that the word “sinister” meaning literally “the left side” became used as a term meaning suspicious and malicious”.

You would be sensitive to overheating too if you had a fur coat that you can’t take off.

The problem is not being ignorant per se, but rather disregarding one’s own ignorance—they assume too often that they already know all that they need to know. As Socrates is claimed to have said, “The wise man knows that he knows nothing.”

So she’s a cool cat.

We saw Tedd being similarly obsessive at the beginning of One Way Road.

If Tedd does have school, then they need about three cups of coffee beforehand.

Ah, the old “Our army will feed itself on what it steals from the conquered lands” gambit, usually thwarted by the classic “Scorched Earth” countermeasure. -

I believe that the assertion is that Trump called for peaceful action, and the crowd got violent in defiance of his intent. This is rather akin to Henry II’s declaration of “Will no one rid me of this turbulent priest?” in reference to Archbishop Thomas Beckett, soon after which Beckett was assassinated. -
Aww, she missed her hoomin.

Yes.

Herein lies the folly of assuming that the arithmetic mean is more descriptive of a population than the median or the mode. -

Well yes, but in terns of “causing the very international situation that you were seeking to prevent”, it fits. -

It’s like the Romulans attacking to try to keep the Vulcans, Andorians, and Tellarites divided—instead they ended up driving them to create a unified nation (the United Federation of Planets). -
Hey, how did she react to your return after being away? The first time I left my tomcat with my aunt to go on a two week vacation, when I returned, he spent all night watching me, as if to be sure that I wasn’t going to disappear on him again.

In the middle of a speed run? He would already have ruined it by taking off for the hours that they spent on the role playing session. He really needs a more plausible excuse.

Aye, but if everyone in Moperville has grown up together with “Elliot and Ellen, the opposite-sex identical twins” for the last nineteen years since birth, then they would think it merely an odd coincidence, or at worst some odd genetic engineering program. It is the fact that nobody had ever had even a hint of her existence before February of last year, and then suddenly she is there, with a bunch of friends who do not question it and who act far more familiar with her than they should be.
-
The thing about Ellen that is the most suspicious is that she is a “twin” of Elliot who suddenly came out of nowhere, with nobody even hinting at her existence before. This simply screams “fabricated identity”. Plus, Ellen’s real origin is even weirder than George suspects—she is a copy of a female Elliot, as opposed to being Elliot herself.

As Arthur has said, Tedd is also the only Seer whom Arthur knows he can trust.

Uryuoms are not strictly mammals, so it is quite likely that, without a clone form, they are lactose intolerant.
