TOH, you are a wonderful moderator 99% of the time, which is an exceptional proportion, and we are far better off with you than without you. Adding a few helper moderators might reduce the burden on you, give someone to fill in during absences, and give you someone to nudge you on those rare occasions when you do over-react.  I suspect truly replacing you would require several people and would be met with middling success at best.  In other words, we need you, and we appreciate all you do for us!

Nah, I'm not trying to refer to her in Japanese. "Mamase" is a perfectly good portmanteau word based on "Mama" and "Nanase", and it's clearly understood by most participants in this forum. We wouldn't refer to her as "haha" because we aren't laughing at her.

Edit: It occurred to me that I got their relationship backwards. I'm leaving it though, as I can't remember a panel that would fit with Diane instead of Susan.

Hi Folks, long time no see.  Been too busy to keep up with either the forum or the comic for quite a while. Just got caught up with the comic, haven't had time for the forums. Forgive me if I've been anticipated by others.
It looks like there are going to be more players on the board than either Sirleck or Magus anticipates--Sirleck's got six Aberrations coming, but Susan the Vampire Hunter can't be part of his calculations. Where is Voltaire? Will Terra make a belated reappearance? If she's an AU Tedd, she's probably been looking for Magus for the last three years.
And there are tantalizing hints that Sirleck might not be entirely in control of Ellen.
It seems I'm back just in time. Pass the popcorn.

Last night I was in a chatroom I occasionally frequent. While it is moderated, it is not heavily so and things have a tendency to go off the rail at times. Homophobia, misogyny, you name it. But this time one particular winner started going on about how bad Muslims were and how Jews were worse and that he would like to shoot them -- as a 'joke', of course. I got hold of the head mod and he shut the guy down. But still.
I've mentioned bits and pieces of my family history before. It may be readily apparent why I do not think that genocide is particularly good 'joke' material -- that is, if one is willing to accept that "I want to shoot people" is a good basis for a joke. Especially not now when politics in my homeland are being skewed by so much hatemongering and we have actual bollocking Nazis prancing about on the streets. There may be such a thing as freedom of speech, but there is also such a thing as consequences for your actions. And if someone preaches about how much he would like to kill me and my family, I DO NOT SEE HOW THERE CAN BE TWO SIDES TO THAT ISSUE.
