  1. Story - Monday July 10, 2017

My guess is this is another hindsight situation like the "of course they were his!" statement. Maybe Pandora saw that there was something odd about Tedd when he was a baby, that the wand wasn't working right for a reason, but she might have been too absorbed at the time with staving off her boredom or teaching Adrian lessons about life or something that she didn't consider finding out what Tedd was back then and telling Edward and Noriko about it. I think if Pandora told them that Tedd was a Seer that could make highly custom wands out of any spell he saw, Noriko might have been satisfied that her son could potentially be powerful enough to follow the family tradition and stayed with Edward. Pandora could just state that she's Tedd's Great Godmother without mentioning Adrian, and then at school Sarah tells Tedd that she thinks Mr Raven is Box's son, and Tedd would then connect that in order for Pandora to consider herself his Great Godmother Mr Raven would need to be his Godfather. And I just realized, Sarah knows that Pandora lied to herself about something major and that it applied to her son, and she heard the "of course they were his!" statement, If she mentions that to Tedd and then Tedd mentions that to Grace then Grace can jump to the conclusion that the lie was about Elves not being able to have kids, and so Susan and Diane would have to be related to Adrian.

Jalapeno-Cheddar Chip Nuts from Picard's Peanuts, they're right spicy!

I think that would involve time manipulation which has been established as not being possible in EGS
  4. Story, Friday July 7, 2017

Sirleck probably didn't desire to possess females though. Despite the fact that Sirleck is no longer Human, he probably still identifies as male and so only takes male hosts. Or he's just sexist and feels that possessing woman would be degrading to him.

It doesn't have to fit her affinity, that mainly determines the initial spell a person gets when marked, and I imagine if someone learned magic the old fashioned way (as in trained for it) they might have gained different spells first then somewhere along the lines unlocked a spell based on their affinity.
  6. Story, Friday July 7, 2017

Pandora is aware of Sirleck because she had Magus get Sirleck's help originally. Pandora just isn't aware that Magus went back to Sirleck after she left Magus adrift and that Sirleck has been bringing vampires into Moperville.
  7. Story, Friday July 7, 2017

Seyunolus are chimerae, Grace and Vladia are Greater Seyunolus as well as Noah, Hedge and Guineas are lesser Seyunolus. Nioi is likely another animal based Seyunolu, maybe a lesser like Hedge and Guineas though that's just a guess. But yeah, greater chimerae are hybrids that include Uryuom DNA and in Grace's case, also Lespuko DNA. lesser chimeras don't have Uyruom DNA but are still created using Uryuom eggs. Dr Scuiridae explains it in Painted Black.
  8. Story, Friday July 7, 2017

I think Dan had said at one point that he lost the notes he had on the language which is why he hasn't bothered to use it for a while now. But someone did create an English to Uryuomoco translator. Though it's not completely accurate. I think someone had posted a translation of the dialog in Tedd's dream but that might have been before the great server crash. The last panel of the first page is the word "Death..." and the rest of the dialog on the next page is "It is time for the end of man. The* master of fire shall inherit the Earth. My very presence eats at your flesh." Ok so "the master of fire" does seem to refer to Damien, or maybe not specifically Damien. If the dream is from the perspective of Lord Tedd, I wonder if that means General Shade Tail is using Lord Tedd to fulfill the Prophecy in their universe, it actually makes sense of you consider the fact that Tedd seems to be surrounded by Seyunolus, sure we only know of General Shade Tail, Nioi and her duplicate Kaoli, but we haven't seen any humans other than Lord Tedd, and Dr Scuiridae is dead in that universe because Nioi was hoping he was alive in the main universe. It actually would be fitting for an alternate universe Shade Tail, created in order kill the master of fire that the prophecy foretold, instead turning on his creators to help bring about the unification of all Seyunolus.
  9. Story, Friday July 7, 2017

On the subject of Lord Tedd again, I think there's a huge hint in the form of Tedd's dream after Painted Black. It depicted an apparently younger Tedd (shorter at least), he then sees a grave (Elliot's?) and suddenly he's grown up (or taller) with a black arm length glove on his right hand and confronted by an Uryuomoco speaking monster (General Shade Tail?) the glove forms into the gauntlet which he used to fight the monster before waking up. I don't think Tedd would have been dreaming about what might have happened if Elliot had been killed by Damien because where would the Uryuomoco speaking monster come from? I wonder if Tedd saw what happen to Lord Tedd in a similar manner to Ellen experiencing her second life. Makes me think Nioi gave Tedd a bit of a nose beep when no one was looking.

Wait, where was the 2013 appearance?
  11. Story, Friday July 7, 2017

I wouldn't put it past Voltaire to be the one that caused Magus to end up in his current predicament and done it in such a way to have Pandora find him. We have evidence of Voltaire trying to frame Pandora with Dex's pendant so yeah, it seems plausible to me.
  12. NP, Friday July 7, 2017

This may be how Rhoda finds out Grace is part Alien? Rhoda: "Why can't I transform your clothes with you?" Grace: "Because Magic doesn't work the same on me." Rhoda: "But it works one everyone else, how are you different?" Grace: "That's uh....classified....hey, wanna watch MiB?"
  13. Story, Friday July 7, 2017

Voltaire may expect Pandora's backlash to be dealt with before she find him, or he may have resigned himself to being forcibly reset as long as he feels he succeeded. Maybe he's trying to incite a civil war among Immortals? That be a scary thought. Yeah, they look like they could be related, but we don't really know what their relation is, we just know that they seem to prefer each other's company even before their reset. Maybe Immortals can bond with each other from time to time. Pandora? Seriously, I too was just thinking that it was the goo that started everything, thus Lord Tedd would have been the catalyst to getting everyone together. But then I remembered that Pandora catching Magus predated the goo, and it was Pandora that told Magus how to get a physical body again. Of course getting Tedd to zap Elliot and then finding out about the dewitchery diamond would have happened differently because Grace wouldn't have been around if the goo never happened. Maybe Pandora knew about Lord Tedd and timed things to happen when they did? Maybe she set up Helena and Demetrius to follow Susan and Nanase to France because she knew there was an active vampire there that would pick up on Susan's affinity and try to kill her, I dunno if she'd go as far getting the vampire itself to attack Susan though. Well the first purpose is to learn the new system and teach others how to use it. That much wouldn't change for seers, so the failsafe wouldn't really fail there, the second purpose, if the Seer was eligible, for either good or evil purposes, they'd probably be the fuel of myths and legends through history. Maybe seers who grasped onto their second purpose became Messiahs or considered children of gods in legends. Beta Tedd believed that Lord Tedd was trying to kill other Tedds. If Lord Tedd realized that he was a Seer with the ability to bend the world to his will, the fact that he knows about alternate universes makes me think he believes that his alternates are also capable of such power, "weak Tedd" could be referring to the fact that our Tedd hadn't realized his potential yet and thus he was assumed to be vulnerable still. I also think that Dan might have got the idea of Lord Tedd wanting to kill all other Tedds from the movie "The One". I would assume that Tara and Andrea can judge human relationship similarly well. Also, Tara identified Ellen as Elliot's twin, so she isn't completely clueless. This is also assuming that Tara and Andrea can even detect magic potential in Immortals, and using Adrian inability to detect his own mother, I don't think it's possible for Griffins either.
  14. Things that make you sad.

I was the same way with smoking, I hated the fact that my parents smoked mainly because they made me go out and buy cigarettes for them, they weren't heavy smokers but it was usually once or twice a week that I'd have to do a cigarette run for them. It started with giving me a signed note that I was to give the cashier, that said I was given permission to buy them. Then when I was 18 Canada passed a law that said you must be at least 19 years of age to buy cigarettes and so I thought I was free, but pretty much as soon as I turned 19 I was buying them again until they finally quit smoking 10 years ago. And yet studies have been saying for years that children who's parents drink and/or smoke are at high risk of picking up the habit.
  15. Story, Friday July 7, 2017

Well the goo never really had a chance to attack Tedd the first time, Elliot was there helping to try to catch it, so the goo retreated bulk up on steroids and such, then it ran into Elliot in the halls probably just by luck, ultimately the goo couldn't touch Tedd because Elliot was in the way so the second time around the goo had determined that Elliot needed to be killed first. We know for a fact that Lord Tedd sent the goo because it cut to Lord Tedd being all disappointed that the goo failed. Yeah, he trying to put her into reacting a certain way as well, it makes me wonder if he knows that Pandora went looking for answers and was counting on her telling Tedd. The main thing seems to be her possible reaction to Adrian being attacked by vampires. If Adrian dies, she'll be livid, it'd very likely be worse that when she wiped out the werewolves, and if she suspected that Adrian's death was orchestrated by another Immortal, she'd likely tear up the spirit realm trying to find who was responsible.
  16. Story, Friday July 7, 2017

Well yeah, even we have no clue what Voltaire's end goal is, but it that it does require a seer with a unique condition, despite the fact that there are other seers, Tedd was chosen for a reason, maybe of the other seers, Tedds the only one that's for now still eligible for the second purpose. Heka had stated that if Pandora's assessment of Tedd wasn't favorable, he'd have sabotaged Tedd's eligibility. So my guess is Lord Tedd was eligible for the second purpose and General Shade Tail is exploiting it. Voltaire might want to exploit it as well.
  17. Things that make you sad.

I'm not entirely sure that when they were 15 they felt the need to drink as a way to escape life. I mean I guess in some circumstances maybe, like a parent was an alcholic and they picked up the habit. But from my experience underaged drinking was done for the same reasons teens picked up smoking or drugs, the whole "it's what the cool kids are doing" or "my parents said no but I'm going to do it anyway". Mostly though I think it boils down to kids seeing adults drinking and laughing and such and wanting to do it as well, but they don't always see the results of too much drinking or understand the kinds of personality shifts that can happen, happy drunk vs angry drunk, etc.
  18. More Speculation.

General Shade Tail seems to be the key in this, so I would imagine that defeating General Shade Tail will save Lord Tedd.
  19. Story, Friday July 7, 2017

Voltaire admitted that he tried to kill Elliot, but was quick to give up and even agreed (reluctantly) to vow to not harm Elliot again. I can't see Tedd not realizing that if Elliot's death might have made Tedd turn to the dark side, there might be other ways to push him in that direction. Take his reaction to learning about Magic being able to change it too many people could use it, then Elliot's pep talk about forcing Magic to compromise, heck, even before Voltaire showed up in the basement, Tedd seems pretty depressed about the idea that someone was trying to kill Elliot. These things gotta be adding up in his mind.
  20. Story, Friday July 7, 2017

It doesn't seem like that much of a leap to go from "Is he how I'd be without them?" to "I almost lost my best friend last week, how badly would I have taken it if Elliot did die?"
  21. Story, Friday July 7, 2017

Elliot didn't even know Nanase was Tedd's cousin until after they broke up, and when Edward first saw her, it was like he hadn't seen her in a few years, so it's safe to say the three of them never hung out. But that's mainly due to Elliot keeping the fact that he was dating Nanase a secret from Tedd and Sarah, Elliot's parent's apparently knew about Nanase though as Nanase knew Brownie and the fact that she was able to make a fairy doll inside Elliot's house means that she had been there before, so way to be a jerk in leaving your friends out of the loop Elliot! Yeah the main speculation was that in most AUs a form of Tedd and Elliot existed and were good friends. in the beta universe Tedd was dating Ellen, in the second life universe, Ellen helped Tedd gain confidence about his self worth by including him in activities. Terra and Magus is still a topic of debate because the snippet we saw of them together has been interpreted a few ways. But in those universes we don't know if anyone else exists or is even close to the group, We only saw Ellen and Beta Tedd together. Ellen told Nanase that she didn't meet her alternate in the second life dreams, nor Sarah and Susan and Justin apparently, and also for both beta and second life universes, it was clear that Grace wasn't in the picture, but then in those universes as well, the real Grace Scuiridae likely didn't die and thus she'd be like 36-37years old by now. So yeah, the constant seems to be Elliot/Ellen, so if they died in Lord Tedd's universe, that could have been the catalyst for Lord Tedd becoming Lord Tedd, and with Nioi stating that General Shade Tail is corrupting Lord Tedd, it's safe to assume that General Shade Tail pretended to fill the gap in Tedd life when Elliot/Ellen died and took advantage of Tedd's grief to manipulate him into using his Seer abilities, Our Tedd has just guessed that Lord Tedd is the way he is because he doesn't keep the same friends he does, I'm wondering if he'll also conclude that maybe Elliot died in that universe which would then make him remember that an Immortal was trying to kill Elliot recently and then realize that it wasn't for craps and laughs, but to traumatize Tedd and make him go a certain way with his abilities. We've already had Sarah guess at Adrian being Pandora's son, Tedd's really close to connecting some dots as well, lets make it a double!
  22. http://www.egscomics.com/?id=2367 Ok so this is probably foreshadowing the power of the Gauntlet now. I mean, yeah we've seen the Gauntlet in action, but this could be linked to "The Gauntlet in Action".
  23. NP Wednesday July 5, 2017

Actually, I just remembered we do have 2 examples of fireballs in EGS, the fire golems spit fireballs which Cheerleadra!Elliot stated had "more punch than burn" meaning it was more like a flashy kinetic projectile with a concussive burst on impact, and it seems like the Bulldog Dragon's fireballs also had more kinetic power than incendiary power, there's nothing left burning or even burnt after impact, Cheerleadra!Elliot's injuries appear to be severe road rash from the fall. As far as removing the magic, it apparently just causes the projectile to fizzle into nothing. Granted we are dealing with fireballs created by summoned entities so one could argue that the fireball itself was a part of the summoned entity hence why both dispersed at the same time. I guess the question would be, would all projectiles created by magic be considered summoned entities?
  24. NP Wednesday July 5, 2017

I did mention spells that change default forms as being exempt from enchantment resistance, one could still try to resist the spell itself. And I wasn't talking about all spells either, just spells that apply enchantments. As far as the Tamashii Gekido and other spells like it goes. they aren't enchantments so there's no point in expecting the need to resist them after you get hit, UNLESS of course there's an added effect to it. Tamashii Gekido itself seems like it creates a concussive shockwave AOE, the shockwave wouldn't have to be composed of magic energy and it's likely a person hit by it only has to brace against the physical impact rather than any magic impact. Something like a Hadoken would of course have magic energy incorporated into the blast but it still seems like the target would be more worried about bracing against the kinetic force unless the blast also carried some for of enchantment like Ellen's FV5 beam does. If a spell creates a fireball, what are you going to worry about more, resisting the spell when it hits you? Or the severe burns you'll get if you let it hit you? You'd probably want to have some sort of counter like a magic shield or some enchantment active on you to absorb or deflect the potential damage.
  25. NP Wednesday July 5, 2017

The thing is though, of course surprise affects spell resistance, you're caught off guard and so you aren't able to brace yourself against it, but once you're enchanted, surprise is no longer an issue, sure there would be other factors that can prevent you from resisting properly, mind control, some sort of torture, something that can keep you from concentrating on resisting the enchantment. It's the not thinking about resisting that would be the common thread here.
