How about the famous "World of Cardboard" Speech?
"That man won't quit as long as he can still draw a breath. None of my teammates will. Me? I've got a different problem. I feel like I live in a world made of cardboard, always taking care not to break something, to break someone. Never allowing myself to lose control even for a moment, or someone could die. But you can take it, can't you, big man? What we have here is a rare opportunity for me to cut loose and show you just how powerful I really am."

...we shall go on to the end. We shall fight in France, we shall fight in the seas and oceans, we shall fight - with growing confidence and growing strength - in the air! We shall defend our island, no matter the cost may be. We shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields, and in the streets; we shall fight in the hills. We shall never surrender! And if, for which I do not for a moment believe, that this island - or a large part of it - were subjugated and starving, that our Empire, beyond the sea, armed, and guarded by the British fleet, would carry on the struggle, until in God's good time, the New World with all its power and might, steps forth to the rescue, and the liberation of the old. - Excerpt from Winston Churchill (1941)

Impressive eyesight, and cookie to the author for putting in a detail that maybe a handful of people saw without it being pointed out. no wonder the pages keep getting delayed, he's filling in tiny and delightful details.
edit: also, mittens. also, why does the text become invisible when I edit the post?

My waifu is a bit crazy sometimes, but she gets over it fairly quickly.
Nope not just you.  She looks more like an older tween than we have seen in her child form before.  Other than panel four, where we are reminded that she is a Demigoddess of Chaos.

Is it just me, or does Pandora seem a little older here than she was in Question Mark?  Not quite as old as the teenager form The Emissary spoke with, but definitely older than the tantrum-thrower in the same conversation.  So she's behaving in a bit more mature manner, and it shows, even though she's trying to be in the same form as Sarah saw her before.

My own guess is that they are actually like the hammers used to be. Some Immortal got involved in that management book craze that flared up a while back and loved it so much that he made a charts and tables artifact that works similarly to the hammer artifact. And anyone that knows the trick can conjure charts for whatever they want to talk about simply by waving a pointer, asking for attention and looking stern.

I got the food tree at PetCo, and the brand name is apparently "catit" (printed with "cat" darker like that, presumably because someone noticed the mammalian body part people might read the name as including otherwise).  Silly kitty tends to look at the hand that brought the food to the tree, instead of the tree itself, for what seems like a ridiculously long time, but maybe she just wants me to pet her more than she wants food?

All 6 of my cloud sync are done.  I have all my normal applications loaded, plus all 2000+ 3d Models for Daz Studio, which is running a hell of lot better with 4 gigs of ram than it did on 2 Gigs.  Of course the extra speed of the CPU helps there as well.
Only problem I have had yesterday and today had to do with spending all night on sharecg.com looking for good free models.  I'm going to bed now.  Like I said a while ago, normal sleeping hours are for chumps.  I'm putting it to the Man, or Mother Nature if CritterKeep is right.  Either way, I'm putting it to some one.  It's possible the the some one is me, but meh.

"Charge the ambush" is (or was) the US Army tactic as well.  Of course a smart ambush team will put some sort of barrier or a few mines between them and the kill zone.  A single stand of barbed wire at about knee high is a very good thing to put up, works better an night I'll grant.  During the summer of 83 when I was part of the OpFor for the desert part of the Ranger school (before they got all serious about Ranger training, which the discovered they needed during the Grenada and Panama "expeditions") we used that for all our night time ambushes.  One fairly bright class sent a "scout" about 2 seconds ahead of the main party.  The main party saw the scout trip, they the all jumped the line when the got to where the scout was laying.  I thing some of them even used him as a "bridge".  If you are wearing flack vests or better body armor you can do that with out really hurting the bridge dude.  That class was one of the few that avoided a total kill in all their ambushes.  As apposed the the class of all 2nd Lt, who took 80% "casualties" during the first ambush, where they were told "just over that sand dune you will be ambushed.  Be ready for it."  They were not.  The tactical sergeants and officers after that gave that class hell.  When I ask why they were being that hard on them, given that the desert phase was the first tactical training phase, so being extremely tough on a class (vs just tough on a class, which was always the case) I was told "These guys are going to be platoon leaders, and if they keep screwing1 up like that they will get good troops killed."  We took that to heart and after the first ambush, we got real sneaky, doing things we didn't do to other classes, like using single man sniper style ambushes, taking the MILES (the laser gun used in training) off a .50 cal machine gun and putting it on a M-16 and using that as a sniper (about 3 times the range), crap like that.
1He did not say screw up, but this the work safe term.

I'd like to know where you got it, too. I'm sure my wife's cat Saki would love it.
(Saki is a determined little thing! At one point I bought her some cat treats called Greenies. She loved them so much that when my wife's attention was elsewhere, she managed to claw her way through a fairly solid carrier bag, a protective wrapper and the Greenies bag itself to get more of them. My wife returned to find Saki happily munching Greenies to her heart's content.)

My turn to ask, where did you get it?
While I'm currently cat less, getting a cat or kitten is on my "to do as soon as possible" list.  The last time I was cat less was 1982

Since my little girl-cat is an only child while the pup and I are gone during the day, I've been trying to find ways to entertain her and keep her from getting bored and lonely.  Today I bought her a tower which is about a foot high, with a narrow slot at the top, three levels, standing on a central post attached to a round tray underneath.  Each level has a series of holes around the outside, and a series of holes in the floor.  The holes in the side are big enough to fit a paw, but not a head or mouth.  Put kibble in the opening at the top, and kitty has to reach in and either fish out kibble one at a time, or push them around until they fall through a hole to the next level, and repeat that for two more levels until it drops into the tray below.
She had a blast!  Took her maybe twenty minutes to get ahold of every piece of kibble.  She's the one who was diabetic and is currently in remission, so I'm very strict about only feeding her Purina's prescription diet DM so she'll stay in remission.  The DM kibble are especially small and round, but the middle layer can be adjusted to have smaller holes and I set it to the smallest option.  She loves her canned food, but is obsessed with dry kibble, so this is an especially wonderful treat for her.  Kibble is higher carb than canned, so I think I'll still feed her canned in the evening, but this seems like a good way to entertain her when I leave for work!
And like any good small child at Christmas, she spent even more time playing on and in the box it came in than with the toy itself....  :-D

I expect it will make for some good comics, certainly.
Having a third party intercede for Tedd could make things happen faster, but I don't expect it's required.  Someone Ed Verres respects has to convince him to accept that what we know about Tedd is true.  There's no reason this person cannot be Tedd himself.  Technically there's no reason this person can't be Ed Verres.

That's what I tell my clients all the time.  My patients are under anesthesia for their dentals, and the anesthesia is a much bigger part of the cost than a routine dental is, so if we find a problem, it's usually better to fix it right then than to have to re-anesthetize at another time, both health-wise and cost-wise.

This is the sad place people find themselves in from time to time.  We all think differently.  Sometimes there's conflict and difficulty that come from that.  Ed Verres is not an innately prejudiced man and Tedd for all his issues is not consumed by his anger and alienation.  There's every reason to think they'll work it out over time.

You normally get a roll to avoid acting on impulse, but you can forgo the roll (and the book states it's generally good roleplaying to forgo the roll.) On the other hand, she might just have really bad dice rolls.
