I think Arthur is talking about the Will of Magic.

Arthur is a LOT smarter than I thought. And I already respected his brains.

That's true. The unalienable right is "pursuit of happiness". Nothing says you will get it.
Of course in the first draft, it was the pursuit of property, which cast a whole other shadow.

I was about to get into how empathy and compassion are not related. Thank you for beating me to the punch.
For the record I have Asperger's syndrome, a kind of high-functioning autism. And while I struggle with social ques no one can ever accuse me of lacking compassion.
Think of me as more introverted, less furry, male Grace.

Culture isn't something automatic. It is something that comes into existence when large numbers of individuals start to live together and establish norms of behavior, speech and so forth. Immortals are almost the exact opposite of this. Their number compared to that of humans is very small and they often live in isolation to the point where they even hide from one another. In this kind of existence it makes sense that individual Immortals would want to borrow culture in order not to be alone.

Have I mentioned how much I hate fairy biology. I find it disturbing on a fundamental level

Have I mentioned how much I love Pandora?
Yes? I have? A bunch of times?
Well, I must say it again because she is wonderful.

Won't these immortals be RUNNING the evil game?

I knew you got the joke, many people don't however. Geography can explain a lot. I am a big fan of it but this isn't the place to talk about it.

You are a wiser man than I am, Gunga Din. When I mount my donkey and my faithful Sanchez hands me my lance, no windmill is safe from me.

I don't know about you but I can't push a 14-ton can of anything anywhere it doesn't naturally want to go.

As for the "Teaching Style"?
Tedd knows a lot of the basics of magic, although much of that was learned in a non traditional manner. And the magic Tedd does have doesn't work like the magic of most other spellcasters. So a significant portion of the normal basic training would be redundant or useless anyway. Also, much of what Pandora has done so far isn't really teaching as much as telling Tedd, "This is something you can do. Now do it."
Is this the point when Edward walks in unexpectedly?

Once Tedd adds the FV5 beam to the wand, she's going to need to test it, to demonstrate how multiple spells in one wand works, right? So I wonder who is getting zapped, herself or Pandora?
I think it's likely a little of both. He gets the drive to help people from his father, but due to him being half-immortal, he can't act directly in most situations, so he instead seeks others to train to act in his stead.

Maplestrip made a comment on discord about this being the first time Tedd's been praised for changing sex and it got me wondering if Pandora's trying to build Tedd's confidence to be able to talk to Edward about being genderfluid?
The way Pandora's going about teaching Tedd about his abilities seems so much different than how she taught Adrian, Panel 2 of the last page of the Legacy chapter shows Pandora looking like she's being very strict, very serious about training Adrian to be able to defend himself and such. My guess is she's realized that how she taught Adrian might have influenced how Adrian taught Edward and Noriko and how they turned out. I can see her wanting to make sure that didn't get perpetuated through Tedd.

This comic made me smile for that reason. It's just so sweet. The way Tedd blushes, that grin. I know exactly what Tedd is feeling there and it's just sooooooo good.

Tedd's smile in panel 8 means the world to me.
Pandora is actively encouraging and supporting Tedd. I know Grace tried to during the tournament, but she was limited by "magic in public = bad." Pandora's unconditional support really seems to help Tedd, and I might be too happy because of it?

So Ellen was shocked that a significant number of respondents were left in a more confused state by the explanations?
And then she merrily FV5's herself and runs off panel?
...
I've seen this public speaking strategy before.

But how many years ago was it way premature? Could we be getting close to when it is no longer premature?

I think so for a different reason: If Lord Tedd believes he needs that gauntlet for combat, taking it away from it could make him helpless. If General Shade Tail knows this, he has a way to disarm Lord Tedd. And if the General knows what's going on with our Tedd, it would become very important to keep our Tedd and Lord Tedd from comparing notes.
Something else occurs to me. General Shade Tail may have same morphing abilities comparable to Grace's. If he comes to the Moperverse, he could potentially look like anyone. Maybe the vampire mercenaries won't be the only unwelcome visitors this evening...
