Pharaoh RutinTutin replied to Tom Sewell's topic in Comic Discussion
Smokey's reaction reminds me of a spoiled child who is disappointed when served a homemade burger right off the charcoal grill and not the McD cheeseburger they expected. Having said that, Grace should have included the spines. It is unfortunate that so many articles of clothing intended for humans include a back. Such garments do not tend to stand up to retractable spines well. -

The spines look cool and intimidating. That alone is more than enough power.- 23 replies

Doesn't the Omega form include Jeremy Spines? That's what I was thinking.- 23 replies

Perhaps a multi part transformation? First into squirrel form to slip out of her clothes without destroying them. Then into the Omega form. Because despite knowing that it is wrong, we all like to see the rude and stupid jerks of the world get so scared once in a while that they run home to mommy.- 23 replies

So Ashley is writing EGS Fanfiction?
-
Or even worse... What if this is all just a dream of some crazy comic artist working on an obscure website?
-
Maybe the magic is that they never really lost their equipment, or even went through transformations? Maybe it was all in their heads?

Meh, it's all Greek to me. -
Second! Are there any objections? Will the chair allow this motion to pass through acclamation?
-
You do realize that this sets the humor bar impossibly high.
-
Almost correct. But this was far from "Phase One"

Apparently you aren't receiving the Executive Edition... Or are you one of those who insist that the things I see, that other people don't see, can not be real. -

Maybe it might have in the 1970s. But most government work enforces No Smoking rules now. -

My early thought for "Smoky the Intruder"? Voltaire. Then I saw Dan's commentary. Why do I think that this could be worse than Voltaire's return? -
The movie was about the Veep The musical was about the guy the Veep shot

Maybe Grace's spine is based on that of the Hero Shrew like Florence Ambrose? http://freefall.purrsia.com/ff3200/fc03143.htm

1. At least, this is only the second time anyone has said anything about it. 2. This one probably won't become a Broadway Musical.

http://egscomics.com/egsnp/nanasecraft-47 "I really shouldn't be disappointed by that." We understand, Sarah.

Grace may not have intended to tell Sam to "Come Out" to Sarah. But there certainly is a lot of room for Sam to think that is what Grace meant. Anyhow, at this point talking About Sarah will be far less useful to Sam than talking With Sarah. And Sam, you will still need to meet the parents. (For that matter, We still need to meet Sarah's parents.) Grace isn't even a relative. Just a friend who can fly, shapeshift, disarm muggers, talk to animals, and is known to have destroyed various flaming beings.

That song was too good, and too funny, for a children's game show on PBS.

And what could be the motivation for distributing Ferengi wisdom without demanding anything in return? Remember the 59th Rule. "Free advice is seldom cheap."

Perhaps not... According to a bumper sticker I once read, "Chicks Dig Paleontologists". And as we know, bumper stickers are second only to hats for expressing universal truths.

There are times when one must turn to the literary genius of British theatre to find the right words... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sXE8LdXzeHM

I'm willing to guess that Sam would eventually reach the decision to tell Sarah. Eventually. Even without Grace's interference. This just accelerated the pace. Sam now likes Grace, and knows that Grace cares for Sarah. If he asks Grace to keep secrets from Sarah, that will hurt Grace. If he acts like he's putting off telling Sarah something she should know, that will make Grace angry. And Grace, forget the bean bags. The effect may not be so bad to a natural shapeshifter like yourself. But for your fully human friends and slumber companions? They will be looking at every kind of back problem if they try to keep up that habit past adolescence.
