Cats are soft and warm and fluffy Anything that is also soft and warm and fluffy but isn't a cat is obviously incomplete so she is obligated to cover it with her scent and hair to make it as cat like as possible

So the "Evil" person who actually does good things is more good than the "Good" person who does nothing but pray and clean? No, this will not do.... The Evil person must spend more time cleaning and praying

Internal Tedd Argument? Check I amy be wrong, but I think this means we still have yet to see Justin, Ellen, and Ashley arguing with aspects, duplicates, or dopplegangers

So Diane wants "Change" where everyone else changes but she stays exactly the same... In other words, she is the typical American voter

Who would have thought a sport played with the intention beating your opponent into submission or incoherence might have negative long term health consequences?

There are stories about government therapists... When the USAF was first testing jet aircraft, or so the story goes, they would have the pilot wear a gorilla mask when he was in a position where he might be seen by flight crews who did not have sufficient clearance When the bewildered pilot would report in to the control tower that he saw a propellerless plane being piloted by a gorilla, he would be immediately ordered to report to the base Psychiatrist The Psychiatrist would immediately certify the pilot as insane, and therefore unreliable After all, gorillas can not pilot planes, and planes can not fly without propellers, everyone knows that I wonder how many lives and careers were destroyed to keep a "secret" that any high school physics student could understand? They wouldn't even need Gorilla masks to justify labeling Susan as "incompetent"

Hurting yourself without knowing how you hurt yourself is among the worst things in life If you were in a dangerous situation, you should be able to remember it so you can avoid that kind of situation in the future And if you were doing something fun or stupid, you should at least be able to look back on it with fondness or amusement

Talking is a free action, so the PCs and significant NPCs can (and often do) monologue without the other characters interrupting or delaying other game play OR If the hero and the villain are in the same room, and the villain has not yet completed the evil deed, it would be rude for the hero to interrupt And if the villain has not yet completed the evil deed, is the hero allowed to act? Breaking up the gang when the the crime is still in the "conspiracy" phase has nowhere near the visual drama as when the bad guys are attacking the innocents with glowing weapons

There is a reason why Avarice (or, as some would say, Greed) is among the classic seven deadly sins It isn't that desiring material gain is itself evil, it is that giving into greed can lead individuals or groups to many evils in pursuit of wealth

It's a party The only way to hear anyone is by being uncomfortably close to the person with whom you are speaking The music is too loud And if they are a bunch of Mid-West Nice kids, the song is probably "Louie-Louie" from the Animal House soundtrack because that is what parties are supposed to be like, right?

The big difference with real life organizations and the "Evil" organizations of fiction is that the baddies in the "Real" world do not openly call themselves evil When it's your turn to be the tyrant, make sure there is some sort of justification for every despicable, or even questionable, act Let your enemies go to the effort of labeling you as "Evil" Then you will be able to identify your enemies more easily

Nanase, you mean well, but "Nut" is a perfectly valid self-diagnosis As the great philosopher Peter Paul was known to say on more than a few occasions... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SmrkyVG4wbE

So how much of the nuts and bolts of your town is "Just Off Panel"? I suspect that I am a random NPC who only actually appears on screen to cause a potential traffic accident...
  23. Story December 30, 2019

If school districts build to meet their peak anticipated enrollment, then any year that they do not meet that number they are left with unused / underused facilities that they must continue to maintain, heat, and secure even if they have become little more than a storage shed If school districts do not build facilities to meet their peak enrollment, or significantly underestimate what their peak enrollment could be, then they wind up overcrowded with more than a few students condemned to long bus rides across different school districts It is as if humans do not take the plight of local bureaucracies into account when engaged in behavior that might result in new humans
