But she says in the last panel that she isn't certain. What method would make her think he's trans, but not be sure, and make more sense than what she said in this strip? At any rate, it seems like she's willing to wait and give Sam time.

Doesn't she explain here how she figured it out? Grace accidentally gave enough clues, combined with Sam's behaviour on the dates, allowed her to piece it together and she doesn't want Grace to feel guilty about her role in Sarah figuring it out?

There is a strong case for the quotes around "male" being a reference to Sam having to maintain a false presentation to other people in his life. That would certainly be the best version of what she said and the least likely to cause further problems. Which kind of makes me worry it is the least likely purely for story reasons. But that may come from reading too much Dumbing of Age.

"Freudian Slips" that are wildly over the top are sort of a storytelling trope. Often used to move a story forward when good sense would see it stall out. Admittedly, it's the least likely of the three options I see. Though only just a little bit less likely than Sarah suddenly knowing about Sam or, more importantly, mischaracterizing his gender identity the way she would have had to do in that sentence.

That's pretty much what I meant by "growing feelings she isn't acknowledging". Her time with Grace and Tedd may be making her feel things toward Tedd.

Question is does the present tense refer to Sam, Elliot or Tedd? Knowledge we didn't realize she has, lingering feelings she shouldn't have or growing feelings she isn't acknowledging?

To the best of my recollection, if you proceed down the "fight" path far enough to trigger the creature spawn then backing out and choosing the "talk" option will not despawn the creature. But choosing "talk" before the creature spawns will prevent it from ever spawning at all.

I've watched some videos on that Lockpicking Lawyer youtube channel. For someone who knows what they are doing, locks are ONLY a psychological deterrent. He opens some of those locks faster with a pick than I could with the key.

My first thought was that this was part of the "dramatic announcement produces shockingly positive results" thing that seemed to be going on. But Dan's commentary says otherwise, perhaps?
