NP Comic for Saturday, Jun 28, 2025 Not much to say, this is more of the same.
-
NP Comic for Saturday, Jun 21, 2025 Elliot is confused, he says cool name, but imagines hot. Then forgets his own name. (Not really)
-
NP Comic for Tuesday, Jun 17, 2025 A new update in the CinderTedd Saga that really moves along at a rapid clip and resolves everything. Just kidding. They awkwardky move forward at a snail's pace, accompanied by Tedd's internal angsty monolog.

NP Comic for Saturday, Jun 14, 2025 Elliot wants to talk, just not as The Prince. Interesting . . .
-
NP Comic for Thursday, Jun 12, 2025 Breathe! Re: Commentary, by this era, the kingdom would have a mint somewhere.

NP Comic for Saturday, Mar 1, 2025 Panel 2: apparently eyes are capable of transforming in this universe. Adrian's have shrunk to pupil size, and Elliot's have become horizontal lines. Definitely fantasy. A royal worried about being out of touch? Would never happen.

NP Comic for Thursday, Feb 6, 2025 If that is Adrian, it does not look quite like Adrian. I wonder why Dan(a) didn't use Gregg as the advisor to the prince? If Cinderella gets with the prince, the kingdom is in trouble. This all seems a bit much for an early version of Cinderella.

Comic for Monday, Dec 30, 2024 Susan is giddy. Is this a good thing? Elliot's in yet another female form, which (s)he may have used before. (S)he and Ashley are out with Liz, talking about magic. 'bout time Liz gets face time. She must be hard to write for, preventing her use. So, even with graduation, they may continue doing reviews. Good plan.

https://www.egscomics.com/comic/hope-076 Another flashback With the next one, I think this story will overtake the Odyssey.

NP Comic for Tuesday, Jan 16, 2024 "Where's the beef?" - 2nd panel, lady. In EGS logic, this kind of makes sense, although I wonder what prompted Tedd's cryptic animal form comment. Ashley is being Ashley.

Comic for Monday, Dec 11, 2023 Panel 1: Dreams look like sugar cookies with star shaped sprinkles. It is raining cookies. I'm not sure if 'Elliot' in panel 2 is Elliot; the hair looks like Elliot, but the figure is wearing a neck tie, which suggests he is not Elliot. Maybe he is Elliot looking for a job near campus, and is dressed for an interview? Speaking of cookies, Rich in panel 4 gets a cookie. However, the text says his being correct is random. It is not. Rich's point of view about anomalies is like a stuck clock, per the saying, "A stopped clock is right twice a day" (twelve hour clock, with no AM/PM indicator; these are common among old school dial clocks.) Rich is correct because the circumstances matched his normal biased canned speech explanation. To be random, he would had to have selected from among alternatives, and then hit the correct explanation. George Carlin did this well. "Tonight's weather will be dark, followed by more dark, with gradual lightening in the morning." Arthur arguing against a rational explanation is odd, but perhaps he has an actual sense that this is anomalous, perhaps something tied to being a seer. However, during the Parable dream, Arthur was not present as the NPC that looked like Arthur; that NPC was dismissed when Mist dismissed the NPCs (and Jay got upset). So (back to panel 1) apparently various dreams were shared by different people, not just the one in the Parable NP arc. If that's true, Mist getting his magic stuck in Jays was a one time thing out of many invasive shared dreams. It seems odd that he only found Rhoda, not Nanase nor Edward. Perhaps, even with many dreams, Mist's overall coverage was weak? If he only connected a few people each time, only for one night, that seems quite possible. A bit of speculation, the griffin side outlaws 'tech' - perhaps they are stuck in a middle ages lifestyle? High death rate during child birth, slower population growth? Maybe Mist has no clue how many people a town in the EGS universe has?

Comic for Friday, Dec 1, 2023 It took a second to see that this was two different events, displaced in time. Clues: Susan is wearing a hair band in the last panels, their positions have switched, Susan's bangs are shorter, Susan's shirt is lighter, they are talking about a different movie. Elliot appears to not have changed. Oddly, still needs pretty much the same haircut, like it hasn't grown. I think the alien invasion is foreshadowing the three from the Griffin side of the EGS world.

Comic for Monday, Dec 4, 2023 "Change? Spare some change?" "Yes. I'll be graduating and will no longer attend high school. My routine will be disrupted." "Thank you." Last comic, Susan spoke of graduation in the recent past. This comic, it is in the near future. Is this a glitch in Dan? Commentary: All gerbils take up space, albeit not as much as we do. Fictitious gerbils in a comic take up very little space, especially when briefly described, not pictured, even with many copies of the comic. Also very little space in Susan's neural circuitry. Russians have launched actual gerbils into actual space. So space gerbils were a real thing, briefly (12 days). They were not recovered. (The US needs up up its game in the gerbil race!) Spelljammer has giant space hamsters (as a means of propulsion) and miniature giant space hamsters (pictured are the sabertooth space hamster and the fire breathing space hamster).

https://www.egscomics.com/comic/layers-067 Is Grace a diplomatic genius? Or is the ability to redirect conversations from confrontational to merely awkward a natural talent? . . . . . And the next arc will be named "A Spoiler In And Of Itself". Prediction: Noah is recruited by the Washington Generals.

Comic for Monday, Oct 2, 2023 Edward seems to have some massive self doubts. It's like Tedd is a stranger to him.

Comic for Friday, Sep 29, 2023 (From the commentary): Two nickels does not buy much any more. Back in the day, it was a local phone call or some time in the parking meter. My dad said that long ago, he used to get into movies for a nickel. Maybe we've never seen Elliot's true nature. What if Elliot's default form is from another comic? Would Dan need to get permission to draw it? What if he's Calvin? What if he's Hobbes? What if he's Cathy! Oh, Noes! He could be Peppermint Patty, athletic and clueless . . . Ashley would be Snoopy, I think; lives in her own fantasy world.

Sketchbook Comic for Monday, Sep 25, 2023 Elliot is in female mode, Tedd appears to be ambiguously mixed. Odd.

https://www.egscomics.com/comic/layers-048 I haven't commented on any of the recent comics, so I'll mention now that I think Elliot and Tedd look cute like that. Moving on to the issue of sleep: Personally, six hours is enough to get me through most of the day, but I'll be dragging by the end of the day if I don't get a nap in. If I haven't missed any sleep recently, 7 hours can usually get me through the day, but I can only manage it for a few days in a row. Eight hours is sustainable, but if I don't make any attempt to control how much sleep I get, and don't have any reason to get up before I'm fully rested, I tend to default to 9 hours. Unfortunately, much like Tedd and Dan, I have a tendency to get caught up in things and go to bed really late. I'm in a position where I can usually get all the sleep I need afterward, but it means I miss most or all of the morning (at least those part around and after dawn). This is really annoying, as I like mornings. (To make the situation downright frustrating, my ability to delay gratification decreases as I get tired, meaning deciding to get to bed on time doesn't actually help much.)

Comic for Monday, Sep 11, 2023 Kevin is giving Tedd a lesson from Dan's real life, I guess?
-
Sketchbook Comic for Monday, Sep 11, 2023 The faces don't normally seem dissimilar, but there must be subtle cues, because there all look like Elliot transformed.
-
Comic for Thursday, Sep 7, 2023 Thus Sprach Kevin (queue music). I see him as more like the monolith than like Zoroaster, though. Except the monolith kept it's mouth shut. So to speak.

https://www.egscomics.com/comic/layers-040 Regarding the last part of the commentary, Ashley's situation actually reminds me of the average Doctor Who companion (at least during the classic series; I'm not very familiar with the modern series).

NP Comic for Saturday, Aug 5, 2023 George reacts to the last panel in the previous comic. He does seem a bit lethargic at times. His superpower appears to be looking startled, but again, in slow motion. Ellen comments and reflects on an earlier conversation she overheard. Did Ellen inherit Elliot's ability to turn into a cat person? The time frame seems right.
