In fact, maybe THAT would be reason she didn't mind deciphering the spells - with mixing two languages it might've been easier for her ...
And it would probably work even better for hiding it than pure Japanese ...

The jokes about Arthur always seeing Tedd in girl form notwithstanding, there is no chance that Arthur might not become aware of Tedd having and using boy form. Hiding this information from him is technically part of not outing Tedd, however it will be short-lived and would mean missing opportunity to control how Arthur finds out Tedd has boy form.
The preferred option here might be insisting Tedd is boy. At worst case, Elliot and Ellen might seem stupid and/or rude to Tedd, but there is reasonable chance Arthur will get the point that Tedd being girl is not public, while being completely in sync with not outing Tedd  to Ashley.
(Why it seems perfectly normal to me to use "girl" for 18 year old female but weird to use "boy" for 18 year old male?)
Not true. Sure, if it's bigotry, Arthur could yell all day, but if it's ignorance, Arthur is in position to cause Edward think, because unlike Tedd he's adult and authority figure.

Wait. There is additional issue here. ARTHUR has more information, but Ashley doesn't and explaining anything to Arthur would out Tedd to Ashley. Damn this is minefield ... and Elliot and Ellen are even worse equipped to deal with it than we are.

Even if you ARE actually so good that everything you say is true and brilliant ... how can you KNOW if everyone is just nodding? You may get away with it in liberal arts, but for real science, as well as strategy, you need someone who will independently check for mistakes. Because even if you never made a mistake, it just means the first you do will be devastating.

More importantly, their priority is to find easy way to raise enchantment resistance of almost ALL people, WITHOUT awakening them. I think that resisting the wand will be impossible for most people even after awakening.
The danger is not about criminals using magic - that will happen anyway, even magic which is not cast on other people is very useful. I think the danger is about someone enchanting large amount of people for long time or even indefinitely. Sure, Edward was talking about wands with homing fireballs, but those are not really bigger danger than someone using assault gun (as Pandora mentioned). But can you imagine someone like not-Tengu using his power to win elections? Or worse, build an army?

Unlike liberal art schools in our universe, battle magic school is teaching something which can be measured and I'm sure they wouldn't bother with school which is worse than being self-taught. So, Magus's claim of being better than Nanase is believable and he may even be better than older magic users with worse training in EGS universe. I'm pretty sure his flying is spell , and he possibly used some spells for enhancing durability or faster speed.
But yes, his combat style is mostly physical attacks (compared to alternatives like throwing fireballs or lightning based attacks) in which strength definitely helps.
That, however, doesn't mean he's "not as good as he think he is" in spell on spell battle. First, he may just enjoy this style or consider it more suitable against golem, second, he may be aware of his limits.
Definitely seems he doesn't need to shout attack names.
It would definitely make sense. (And yes, I would like to see Susan learning sword fight AND magic from Adrian ... maybe Susan and Diane can be learning together ...)
