Well I believe Edward had made it clear there's no nudity when he's around.
Still, I actually chuckled at this.

Most royal families rose to power through military action. The difference is that it happened several generations ago.
I'm sure griffins will be able to recognize elf. And we don't know if Cranium is powerful. Wolf and Edward, maybe.
Her half may have same number of human magic users as our world (or at least same number of magic user FAMILIES, that is, people with hereditary magical affinity), the difference being they are more public. With current lack of information, I would consider it most likely.
Ability to learn other people's spell is definitely useful, but not "far superior". Even after learning the spell they may not have enough power to cast it - just as Sarah wouldn't have power to cast her spell outside Moperville. Also, it's ability which will not really help unless they know some other magic user with useful spells ...
Stephen Hawking. I think Einstein would be problematic for such courtroom due to being dead. Unless the courtroom IS in afterlife ... wait, that would be even more hypocritical.

This gives me a rather strange mental image of some courtroom where magicians are being prosecuted for violating the laws of physics, with infractions against the square/cube law seen as mere misdemeanours whereas something like creating a machine that produces more energy than goes into it is a very serious offence that might result in a protracted stay in jail.

Well we know Wolf Described Noriko as a "Legendary Monster Hunter" and "Powerhouse" which would imply that Noriko would be more powerful than Edward, Wolf and Cranium combined. So I'm willing to bet that if Tara and Andrea looked at Edward, they'd be like "yeah he's got strong magic ability, but he's no royal".

I think this is a case of Dan having the general idea of the story set up, and even himself originally thinking it wouldn't take too long to get through it all, but then as he went along with each page, things cropped up where he felt he needed to clarify for the readers, like Susan's views on the double standard of nudity taking 2 pages instead of 1, and Ellen's claim to be completely hairless below the shoulder had an extra page added to explain that technically wasn't true. The whole bit about height probably took longer than originally planned too, though I would imagine his unwillingness to go into the "other details" saved him a fair number of pages.

There are lot of ways to analyze spells but they may not be equal. It's possible that Tedd's ability is more precise, able to get more details or something ... and it may be just start of his dangerous rarity.
... I find extremely unlikely that the traffic between the halves would be that common. Remember than Adrian Raven knew about Abraham, are you going to suggest he's from the other half as well? With Pandora being Ancient?
Similarly, Noriko had LONG family history. If the family is from the other half of world it happened generations ago. Which brings the question if that would still be relevant.
With wings too small to fly without magic, yes ... but still, breaking the thermodynamical laws is generally considered more serious than the other ones.
Andrea: "No. I meant that just because it looks like mammal and bird bits it doesn't mean the internal differences are that big."
Seriously. Mermaids definitely can't have two independent circulatory systems, one with warm blood and one with cold. And Griffins certainly don't have red blood cells with nuclei for bird parts and ones without for mammal parts. The "intersection" is likely only skin deep.
Yes. They would likely be able to identify Grace's magic is not compatible with human one, but they may not know why. Unless they have their own aliens.
And BTW, no. It seems that not even agent Wolf have the same level of knowledge about Uryuom than Edward. Or at least he didn't HAD the same level two years ago.

    Is the response public?
Not counting leap seconds. It's also called "epoch time" or "unix time", because the first computers which actually needed to keep track of time were running Unix. Now it's used almost universally, because storing time fractured to months, days, hours, minutes etc suck and no serious program is using it outside speaking with humans. You can quickly convert it online on http://www.epochconverter.com/ for example.

My understanding is that the laws can change because magic has a mind, of a sort. So it may be like computers in that there are underlying rules that it always has to follow, but the operating system  and user interface can change drastically.

It's also possible that it's not rare where Tara comes from, though I think it more likely that it isn't what  makes Tedd a "far more dangerous rarity", though it likely is one aspect of it.
My guess would be that what makes Tedd a rarity is his natural abilities with magitech. I just hope for his sake that he never visits a world wherein such genius is invariably accompanied by madness, as one must follow the laws of the universe in which one finds oneself.

I know all to well about pronunciation, I had a bad habit of correcting other students in early elementary school on pronouncing words. I had an unusual knack for being able to look at a word and figure out how to say it. I wasn't perfect, but it was enough to annoy my classmates.

Royalty: Oh, I agree. That was why I said 'possibly.'
Pronunciation: Oh Lord yes. I learned so much English from reading back in the day. Even these days I will all too frequently mispronounce some word I only know in written form and my wife has to correct me.

I strongly doubt that. To me it seems much more likely that they are all built on the same foundation. Elliot's core traits consist of: honesty, empathy and protectiveness. Heidi, Mildred and Gothica would be just as likely to take a bullet for a friend as Elliot himself would be. After all, Elliot is a defender and the whole reason he got a superhero spell is because he dreamed of defending and protecting people.

Without any equipment, we were trying to lower an old upright piano on casters about four feet from the stage to the house floor.  The suggestions for how we should proceed just kept getting wilder.  And we could not risk damaging the instrument.

Finally, some kid pointed out that the stage door opened directly to an alley with no steps.  The alley sloped to the sidewalk with no steps.  The theatre lobby door opened to the sidewalk with no steps.  There were no steps from the lobby into the house.  And the aisle in the house from the lobby door to the stage had no steps.
I think my expression was very similar to that of Nanase in the last panel.

HarJIT reacted to Matoyak in Opinion and Suggestion About Avatars
Oh, I totally understand that. I tend to use avys I've made myself for that reason. For help with finding appropriate avatars, I do like how Gunnerkrigg Court's forums have an Avatar thread where people will take images from the comic and crop them into avy form. (Gunnerkrigg Forum Thread) It's nice for people to be able to pick like that.
And yeah, I know the vast majority of people by faces, not names. I'm just really bad at remembering them. Takes months of knowing a person to really lock in their name. Forums make it even harder, so I rely on Avatars mostly. (I was constantly getting @HarJIT and @hkmaly mixed up until the former got an avatar, for instance. I believe I actively replied to one when meaning to reply to the other once, even).

@Wixelt Not sure what you mean.  archive.is is a single-page on-demand archiver (not to be confused with archive.org which usually comes and goes as it pleases, and seemed when I checked not to have satisfactorily preserved the original forum).  I merely archived the Yahoo cache of that singular page.

@Wixelt I've preserved that further by backing up the Yahoo cache to archive.is so as to preserve it after Yahoo potentially deletes it.  http://archive.is/kxQSj
