I am wondering if Ashley had met Nanase at some point long before the griffon event, and is only recognizing her from the previous meeting within the (somewhat) safer environment of Tedd's house?

Tedd might be a girl Ok, Elliot may have revealed something that Tedd should have been allowed to choose when to tell Ashley. On the other hand, by having her mind blown before going in, Ashley may now be able to roll with the other oddities beyond the door.

Also, superheroes generally don't get dizzy when moving fast , but that would likely be one of those exceptions.

However, even without higher strength, there is another factor: expectation. The skin can react on Elliot touching it - similarly how it's very hard to tickle yourself, because you are expecting it. So yes, Tedd, you totally should test it yourself.

In fact, it turned out to be such a mess that the later American Space Shuttles, the Soviet MIR, and the International Space Station would not incorporate anything similar. Even though the system was not successful, academic notes were kept. If Elliot's interest in this matter was purely intellectual, the NASA records are available.

I spoke too soon. Of course, house of ordinary member of law enforcement is unlikely to have any special protection, while Edward house has LOT of protections. And Grace is not really martial artists. But it's apparently close enough to truth Elliot can say it, and at the same time keep the secrets. And, yes, technically there is no chance of repeat of your second date as Shirleck is dead and Magus is unlikely to risk returning. BTW, not sure how many alien invasions Edward prevented but he saved Earth multiple times.
