NP Comic Saturday January 1, 2022 Good reuse of comic panel between. Nice use of hearts to make Grace even cuter. Grace is not just Teddsexual, she has some of Susan's shipping everyone else going on. And not being a participant.

NP Comic Thursday December 30, 2021 Last NP of 2021. No characters caught COVID-19. I want to see Dan draw a bull carp. Maybe a bull space carp. Ellen is not wrong, although missing the point that general expectations are not an unreasonable thing, otherwise you don't really have a 'society'; she might be more correct saying sometimes societal expectations can be unreasonable. She is experienced in the sense of having Elliot's memories, but that seems to be a step removed; similarly her dream world. Of all the main characters, we have never seen her as a male.

NP Comic Saturday December 18, 2021, starring Pseudo-Justin, who is straight. It's all about the Grace, 'bout the Grace, and Ellen. It's all about the Grace, 'bout the Grace, and Ellen. It's all about the Grace, 'bout the Grace, and Ellen. When she speaks it's all transparent, 'cause she uses prefix words. Not a bit of confusion, she says what she really means (That's hot). She dates that girl Ellen, I think that is really cool beans. (That's hot) (Repeat, or something)

https://www.egscomics.com/egsnp/canonsfired-00006 They're all just stories. Care about what you want. - - - - - - Is there a level beyond Blasphemy to describe what Grace is saying?

https://www.egscomics.com/egsnp/canonsfired-00005 Be careful Grace Don't get people into the habit of choosing for themselves what parts of a fictional reality to believe and which to discard Too many people already play that kind of pick-and-choose game with actual reality

https://www.egscomics.com/egsnp/canonsfired-00004 So how can we both be right when we both know that the other one is wrong? Just wait a few googolplex years to watch how the Universe wraps back around on itself as it dies and is reborn an uncountable number of times and then you might gain an intuitive understanding of how a multiverse can produce a multitude of possibilities that are similar without being identical.

https://www.egscomics.com/egsnp/canonsfired-00003 I suspect that Grace does not know (or care) who is "correct" So she just says they're both right and then gets on with more important matters, like dubbing the Squirrel translation for The Star Wars Holiday Special

https://www.egscomics.com/egsnp/canonsfired-00002 Everyone needs to know someone who can be the authority on every little subject But life is never easy for that authority figure I remember one day I was rather busy and a friend just calls me out of the blue to ask "Who is the Patron Saint of Hopeless Causes?" Was I really the only possible source of info he would have on St Jude?

https://www.egscomics.com/comic/balance-034 At first I thought the second shadow character was Catalina But there is no way she could be that powerful magically yet Right? I mean, her magic mark was a name based affinity that was reluctantly issued as an afterthought to Rhoda's Our Lynx rufus could not possibly be a Smilodon fatalis Right? https://www.egscomics.com/comic/balance-028 Grace has come down with a sudden case of ethics Hopefully she can work through this If she develops chronic ethics, her capacity for hijinks will only suffer And let's not even consider how an advanced ethics affliction will ruin any future she might have in big business or politics

https://www.egscomics.com/comic/party-164 Turns out Monday comics was NOT finished during the day The quote is from The Die is Cast, said by Chief O'Brien to Doctor Bashir. I must admit I needed to search for that. And it seems the party is very much for Ashley ... well, ok, the movie IS relevant to the magic which is topic of party, but I'm pretty sure everyone already saw that movie. Multiple times. Probably even Susan. And on Elliot's place, I would be at least little uncomfortable with my bisexual girlfriend bonding over romance with someone else like that. Especially considering she CAN have squirrel romance with Grace. Also, I would hope that Ashley's wizard training will be different, but truth is transformations are likely to be important part of it if Tedd is supposed to help at all ... well, at least not the upsetting ecosystems bit.

https://www.egscomics.com/comic/party-156 Well, one things seems certain, the delivery person is female, and we've seen her before, question is though....does her reaction mean that she's Smoke? I mean, we don't know the gender of Smoke, and I would expect that if Smoke ran into Grace again, they'd likely have a similar reaction, especially if they were delivering pizza, and someone who scared the bejeezus out of them a few days ago happens to answer the door.

https://www.egscomics.com/comic/party-151 Ok, so which reader complain is Susan voicing? Oh. It's in the commentary. '"Multiple". Right. Also, Sarah leaning against the sofa like that might be interesting but it also suggest that they are standing suboptimally. Personally, I didn't have problem with previous version but I totally agree that English is bad for this. In fact, it's already bad for trans people and this is another level. Also for non-binary people. And yes, it would be problem with most if not all human languages. Another thing which human languages are ill-equipped to dead with is time travel. Technically, English has more than enough tenses for that, but it still doesn't work correctly. Hopefully, when time travel becomes as common as trans and non-binary people today, we will manage to extend English more logically than we now do with non-binary people. Seriously, singular they is NOT the best option, the precedent of replacing thou with singular you notwithstanding ... (of course, seems most people who use it prefer it to alternatives so we likely end with it ...)

https://www.egscomics.com/comic/party-132 I'm pretty sure Ashley didn't choose the "mousey girl" label, though. Do you think Diane remembers her name? ... she did had problems with remembering Justin's name after knowing him for years ... Isn't there something like dyslexia but for remembering? Also there are obvious differences between Ashley and Rhoda. Like, Ashley is a wizard, while Rhoda actually have magic talent. ... obvious for griffin, I meant.

https://www.egscomics.com/comic/party-126 Dan got this one up early for a Wednesday comic. Dan talks about the cockles of his heart in his commentary, which brought to my mind this quote: "...in a dark, cold winter, it warmed the cockles of the British heart " That's from a speech Winston Churchill made on March 30, 1940 praising the crews of HMS Exeter and HMS Ajax for their part in the destruction of the German warship Admiral Graf Spee in an encounter known as the Battle of the River Platte. That battle had taken place the previous December off the coasts of Argentina and Uruguay. It was pretty much a gentleman's battle, more appropriate for the War of 1812 than 1939. Exeter, Ajax, and the New Zealand cruiser Achilles fought the much larger and more heavily armed German ship, got badly shot up, but managed to score a critical hit that meant the Spee would run out of usable fuel long before it could get back home to Germany or meet up with one of its disguised support ships. So Captain Langsdorff took his ship to Montevideo in Uruguay, hoping to make repairs there before the British brought in a heavier force. He should have gone to Buenos Aires instead; the Argentine government was much more friendly to Germany at that time. Forced out of the harbor after a few days, Langsdorff decided to scuttle his ship rather than lose more of his crew in what he thought would be a hopeless battle. Then he shot himself. His crew got to sit out the rest of the war in Argentina. Ajax and Achilles both survived the war, and Achilles would serve in the Indian navy as the Delhi until 1978. Exeter was sunk by the Japanese in March, 1942, and about one-quarter of the survivors died in Japanese captivity. The Pacific was not a gentleman's war.

http://egscomics.com/comic/party-109 Tedd has REALLY weird kinds of mental conflicts Nanase, Ellen and even Susan have training. They are able to not blush when seeing Elliot despite "thinking about baseball". Diane seems to lack such training. Pity we don't se Ashley. Who's more red, Ashley or Diane?

http://egscomics.com/comic/party-108 I give up, which two panels were drawn too soon? I suppose that the second panel is one of them, but ... Also, I think that to feel properly gigantic, Diane would need to grow AND everyone else shrink. The growing is not so extreme. Hmmm ... did Sarah already saw the mall girl? This IS the mall girl, isn't it?
